Thread 5 - The Mumsnet bargain thread - spreading the squeaky clean, ethical love!

So it’s not a thread all about ethical stuff (good grief there’s a lot of plastic tat that’s been purchased by me from these threads over the years) but with our current obsession with soap bars and shampoo bars and then I think it was fireflygirl who did the quote and it tickled me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

PinkDaydreams · 02/10/2019 11:18

Wow! Just had a personal e-mail from Brew Tea Company. I sent a note saying please could I have a yellow scoop to go with the yellow pot. They replied they have run out and only have the black scoop left - bless really apologetic. Brilliant, Brilliant customer service in my opinion. Keep buying the tea folks I don't think we're going to be disappointed! Thanks so much to whoever first posted the deal.

Not really Christmassy but you are all my shopping gurus. I need 2 new large, waterproof dog beds. They need to be as robust as possible because our Labradors favourite pastime is eating everything he encounters. I went to buy them and nearly fainted at the £60 per bed price tag Shock so if anyone has any recommendations I would be most grateful

margaritasbythesea · 02/10/2019 11:46

LadyNina00 - that looks good. Which webpage did you find it on?

Bluewavescrashing · 02/10/2019 11:49

SOME really nice boots. Stupid phone. They are actually kids ones but reduced from £50 to £13.50 plus postage. Bargainous!

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 02/10/2019 12:06

I spy a brew tea company starter kit there @PaddingtonBearHardStare Grin

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 02/10/2019 12:08

@PinkDaydreams correct!! What's even worse is, they are all from this thread but none are actually Christmas presents, they are all for me haha

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 02/10/2019 12:10

Actually I tell a lie, the two massive boxes are a beanbag for DS from RUComfy but I can't remember who recommended them! It's not for Christmas though, I aren't wrapping that!!

PinkDaydreams · 02/10/2019 12:18

Did you get a bargain price on the bean bag? I’m after one for my little one but have been looking at the bean bag bazaar website.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 02/10/2019 12:22

I got him an adult one as he's a very tall 8 but then I paid £5 for a matching foot stool which was worth £25. Will post a photo of it later as I promised him he could open it

Bean bag

PinkDaydreams · 02/10/2019 12:24

Just been having a nosey at the website, good offer with the footstool! 👍🏻

imsorryiasked · 02/10/2019 12:30

@LadyNina00 I can't find the headphones on Amazon - do you have a link or the sellers name?

Nine soaps have arrived Grin
Two Hatchimals have arrived Grin
My partner is starting to get on board with all of this.
Got to resist now, we are going away next week and don't want my neighbours having to stockpile deliveries for us. So addicted to money off that I'm actually worried I will miss something

Elphaba17 · 02/10/2019 13:04

Itwaseverthus- Thank you, just ordered a face cream for my mum with free delivery to store.

imsorryiasked · 02/10/2019 13:04

@LadyNina fab thanks

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 02/10/2019 13:04

@Sux2buthen haha I can just see a thread in AIBU next week saying my neighbours have gone away and we've taken in loads of parcels, AIBU to return them all to sender Grin

CoffeeAndEnnui · 02/10/2019 13:07

Amazon has reduced the Lego Hidden Side Graveyard to £18.75 (down from £24.99). It's a great price considering Lego Stores still have this range as their window display!

(I ordered two last night at £20 and am now kicking myself for not waiting a little longer because I resent not saving the extra £1.25 off eachBlush)
