Thread 5 - The Mumsnet bargain thread - spreading the squeaky clean, ethical love!

Reastie · 28/09/2019 08:29

So it’s not a thread all about ethical stuff (good grief there’s a lot of plastic tat that’s been purchased by me from these threads over the years) but with our current obsession with soap bars and shampoo bars and then I think it was fireflygirl who did the quote and it tickled me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

I’m after a copy of Cards Against Humanity for my DH. If anyone sees it cheaper please let me know

MrsLem · 01/10/2019 10:25

Looking for a jojo maman Bebe code or referral (I'll keep checking referral thread) if anyone has one. Thanks!

WhereTheresAHill · 01/10/2019 10:31

@Jessica78 my Lego Advent Calendar is for DH too 🤣

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 01/10/2019 10:34

@Reastie it's a card game, the aim is to avoid the Exploding Kittens. You all get one defuse card to start so you get a second chance. There's a lot of tactics involved!

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 01/10/2019 10:38

15% off at Emma Bridgewater using code FIGS15

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 01/10/2019 10:40

Hmmm that code doesn't work at Emma Bridgewater, showing on my FB

NoSquirrels · 01/10/2019 10:47

Feel free to use my Emma Bridgewater code:

EBNP15-4RNDBZ

Signed up as a new customer but alas the code doesn't stack with the 2 for £30 mugs...

CupCupGoose · 01/10/2019 10:49

Would exploding kittens be okay for a 6 year old who's reading isn't great? I know my 8 year old would love it but would be great if we could all play it.

PinkJam · 01/10/2019 10:52

@flooredbored Thank you! It must be because it’s an Amazon exclusive that it’s not been advertised as much as the other winter disco ones then. It says out of stock - has it been released before or is it not released yet? Thanks again. Smile

Jennywallpaper · 01/10/2019 10:58

My dr botanicals order arrived today, Im impressed especially for price I paid, I don't think I would have paid full price though. I'm going to give some to DM and DSIL with their Christmas gifts, might keep one for myself to because they smell so good!

flooredbored · 01/10/2019 11:03

@PinkJam I don't think it has been released yet. I saw a few days ago it was on pre-order.

PinkJam · 01/10/2019 11:09

@flooredbored That’s great, Thank you ever so much Smile

imnottoofussed · 01/10/2019 11:33

so I've made a start and bought the harry potter origami from upthread (also got some benefits stuff and slippers in the next sale)

SleepyPaws · 01/10/2019 11:44

@CupCupGoose I think your 6yr old would need a little help first to understand what each card does, after that they are easy to recognise without reading them as they are different colours/pictures. Our DS got it when he was 7 and really enjoys it.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 01/10/2019 11:59

These look good for stocking fillers. £3.99 for two personalised keyrings including delivery

Name keyring

TellMeItsNotTrue · 01/10/2019 12:02

No deals to share because I'm trying my best to not notice them 😂 just temporarily

My Harry Potter cards have been delivered, they look great and will finish off gifts for my niece and nephew, who I've picked up a few different HP items for through the year and plan to do a little gift box each. They weren't quite finished, so this was perfect

My good house keeping book is also here (not had first magazine yet, will be cancelling as soon as that arrives) and looks brilliant, at £1.96 for this and the magazines (£4.04 cashback pending) they practically paid me to take it 😂

BrylcreamBeret · 01/10/2019 12:21

paddington the key rings are perfect for my sons multiple school bags, thank you!

Gustavo1 · 01/10/2019 12:23

Geo Journey subscriptions to teach kids all about the world have a valid discount code AUTUMN10 for £10 off the 6 and 12 month subscriptions.

Thegrandoldelf · 01/10/2019 12:41

I'd like to buy 13 year old DSD some straighteners for Christmas as her younger sisters are getting tablets so hopefully this will be a reasonably 'equivalent' present (She already has 2 ipads). I was thinking of getting GHD's but would appreciate some help on what models are best and if there are ever any good discounts to be looking out for.

Barbarara · 01/10/2019 12:50

Primark/Penneys have Minecraft Christmas jumpers. €16 in RoI so a bit less than that in £
