Christmas Angel Conundrum

Ok so I bought a lovely garden light up Christmas angel from the states. For 2 reasons I decided to remove the lights and put a uk set on.

Reason 1. The lights that were on her really ruined the look
Thick white wires poking out all over the place and big white bulb holders. Also the cord was pretty short and I felt more lights were needed to cover her properly. I bought a larger set of 100 (came with 70) on a thin clear cord which is all tucked away and completely invisible.

Pic attached.

Reason 2. Even though I have a step down transformer to convert the current from us to uk, I thought it would be much easier to have a uk set with a nice long cord that reaches into the house.

So she looks tons better now but I have given myself a conundrum.

The lights I bought can be either warm or cool white.

I did this deliberately to see which I liked best BUT ... I can't decide.

It has been suggested I alternate. One night cool. One night warm. But I'd like opinions.

What do YOU guys think? Which looks better?

I like the warm ones better.

boymama2 · 22/09/2019 14:39

I like the warm ones better.

BlackCatSleeping · 22/09/2019 14:40

Warm 👼

mamabluestar · 22/09/2019 14:41

Warm

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 22/09/2019 14:41

Another vote for warm.

70sWitch · 22/09/2019 14:41

Oooh. Now see. This is what I need. Nice clear consensus of opinion Grin

Warm.

CassianAndor · 22/09/2019 14:42

I like both, so I’d alternate.

I love her, she’s beautiful!

Louisaouisa · 22/09/2019 14:42

Warm! Think you’ve got your answer already though Grin

CassianAndor · 22/09/2019 14:42

Oh, sorry, I’ve buggered up your consensus Grin

70sWitch · 22/09/2019 14:45

Louisaouisa
Hehe. I think I have.

CassianAndor

I think so too. Wanted one (or 2) of these for ages.

Cool for me.

70sWitch · 22/09/2019 14:46

CassianAndor that's ok. Smile

tbh I was expecting more division.

I didn't see the answers before making a choice and agree warm. Round here all the christmas lights seem to be cool and I find them less attractive than warm ones which just seem homelier and cosier

I tend to agree. My tree lights are always warm. I like the candlelight aspect of it.

OP posts:
70sWitch · 22/09/2019 14:52

Also, I gues the warm makes her more unique as the lights she came with were cool.

Poppins2016 · 22/09/2019 14:52

I love the classic warm white.

One caveat: will you/do you have any other lights in your garden? I wouldn't mix the two whites, so I'd choose what you have already.

70sWitch · 22/09/2019 14:54

I think I take Christmas WAY too seriously

I have a tree which I put warm lights on (or maybe coloured this year - not sure)

My reindeer are cool but they probably aren't going out this year anyway.

Oooh , see , I like the cool lights , makes her look more ethereal . Though I like the warm lights on a tree.

CassianAndor · 22/09/2019 14:57

I love coloured lights on Christmas trees!

I think you should get another angel to go with this one. Maybe even 3?

70sWitch · 22/09/2019 15:02

Another one is a definite possibility. I considered 3 but DH said he'd divorce me Grin

We're having coloured lights on the tree this year for sure as it's going to be a 70s Christmas. I know my angel isn't 70s but I don't care. She's gorgeous and I wanted her .
