Christmas Angel Conundrum

Ok so I bought a lovely garden light up Christmas angel from the states. For 2 reasons I decided to remove the lights and put a uk set on.

Reason 1. The lights that were on her really ruined the look
Thick white wires poking out all over the place and big white bulb holders. Also the cord was pretty short and I felt more lights were needed to cover her properly. I bought a larger set of 100 (came with 70) on a thin clear cord which is all tucked away and completely invisible.

Reason 2. Even though I have a step down transformer to convert the current from us to uk, I thought it would be much easier to have a uk set with a nice long cord that reaches into the house.

I prefer the warm lights.

Shes really lovely. I would normally go for warm lights but I do think she looks good in cool as it creates a lovely contrast against her gold wings and flute. One of my favourite parts of Christmas is getting bundled up against the cold and foing for an evening walk around the neighbourhood to view the lights.

I actually prefer cool, because her wings are gold and she's silvery, like a real angel! I want one! My DM would ADORE it!

Yes, it’s the contrast that I like with the cool.

Yes. The cool is definitely more - dazzling. I have a feeling I'm going to end up alternating after all.

She's lovely, I like warm best I think.

I’m in the minority - I like cool and agree with 70isalimit that they look more ethereal. I am very impressed with you sorting out the US/UK lighting. Two would be nice - one on either side in a mirror effect.

I also prefer the warm.
And I neeeeed a couple of these Angels in my life too!

I have to admit, I'm ridiculously pleased how many of you admire her.

I'm defintely having 2 and may even consider 3 ( if I can sneak her past DH )

She is gorgeous I like the cool, as another poster said it makes her wings and trumpet stand out more.

Ok. Few more votes for cool. But I reckon warm is still in the lead.

I always go a bit mad with this stuff. I have a flying crank ghost (homemade) that is the talk of the neighbourhood at Halloween.

The wires on my angel just really bugged me. Not that I'm anal a perfectionist or anything

I'm with your dh. You would be unreasonable to have three. Surely you need four so you can have two warm and two cool.

Wow. They are pretty. I reckon my dog might go nuts if I had one though they remind me a bit of the Dr Who angel.

Cool looks much more effective to me. She’s lovely!
