My daughter has asked for an Owleez toy for Christmas, so if anyone spots a bargain on these overpriced things I’d be very grateful!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 19/09/2019 11:42

@WhereTheresAHill brilliant thank you! You've tempted me with the £6 offer

Bonus: topcashback offer £4.04 so if that works it will only cost £1.96 (if it doesn't its still a huge bargain)

wibbletooth · 19/09/2019 11:42

Just seen an article in my local paper saying that if you have the B&M app on your phone you can use it in store to scan barcodes and get notice of hidden discounts and price drops - particularly good bargains to be had on the end of line summer stuff apparently - people getting lucky on garden chairs down to £1 and so on.

Have downloaded and will try it next time I go but thought I’d mention it in case anyone is there today!

Bluewavescrashing · 19/09/2019 12:02

Smyths have really good talking toy story dolls for 13.99 at the moment.

Isadora2007 · 19/09/2019 12:35

A word of warning for the vouchers- check the use by dates etc as if you buy early and they’re 6 month ones you run the risk of the person not using it in time. I have put aside cash as I go for voucher buying right before Xmas when getting ones that have a shelf life as such.

SleeptightDaisy · 19/09/2019 12:41

Some offers on toys , stationary and clothes in Sainsbury's just got a couple of smallish Lego friends sets for £6 instead of £10-£15 and a rainbow notebook for 55p

@Allhallowseve if you don’t mind a loooong wait, you can get lots of fairy bits on AliExpress for pennies. Check reviews for photos and feedback. And read the descriptions of sizes as they vary considerably.

Poundland/Dealz have nerf-like foam darts. They’re grey so obviously not actual nerf ones but much more affordable.

Flying tiger had mobile phone jails which look perfect for teens! Their bullet journals are also excellent value and compare favorably in the online reviews I’ve seen with journals like the Leuchtturm.

I picked up the tybo tie dye ball kit in aldi this morning but it’s actually a smaller version of the one Smyths sells, and comes with less dye bottles. I’m thinking of bringing it back and getting the Smyths one when they do vouchers, as there will only be a couple of quid in the difference. But it’s less plastic too, and probably easier to store. Argh! Decisions!

Hearst cashback has tracked, so hopefully that's £4.04 I'll be getting back, on my £6 purchase!

AndddddHerewegoagain · 19/09/2019 13:50

@Vebrithien theres a website called yesbebe which has some good priced track at times. They put weekly special offers on so worth checking in each Friday

rosebb1 · 19/09/2019 14:00

Sorry if this has already been posted, but are we expecting a Matalan code soon? Debating whether to get things now or hang on but risk things going out of stock? What are people's thoughts?

TryingtobePrepared · 19/09/2019 14:17

@BlueOooChristmas we got a letscom fitness tracker for dd1 last year for Xmas. About £30 on Amazon, has been great works very much like a fitbit Alta & could be confused for one. But on the occasions dd1 has left at gymnastics, school etc I haven't been to fussed as it wasn't expensive. Has worked for us

Reastie · 19/09/2019 14:23

@SleeptightDaisy is the lego in Sainsbury’s in the small clearance section or with all the lego stuff?

The good housekeeping deal is coming up as £9.99 if I click through quidco. Is this happening for anyone else?

CamdenTownie · 19/09/2019 15:08

@WaitWhatOh - if you have a Costco membership they usually have the £40 Nando's voucher for £35, other than that they are usually sold at face value in supermarkets and such.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 19/09/2019 15:09

@CupCupGoose - not sure as I used topcashback, but with offers like that I find that you have to use that url to add it to basket to get that deal... But then you can close the tab and open via cashback site and its there waiting in your basket 😉😊

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 19/09/2019 15:10

@CupCupGoose Yes that was happening to me too. If you add to your basket at £6, then go through quidco and open Hearst it should be in your basket still at lower price.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 19/09/2019 15:12

The code WINNINGBAR gets you 15% off the Cadburys Gift Website - good for the chocolate "gingerbread" house kit mentioned a while back

CoffeeAndEnnui · 19/09/2019 15:17

I found a very sweet colour in advent Christmas stocking by Egg Nogg while wandering aimlessly around Not On the High Street. It retails for £12.50 + delivery (£2.75) on NotHS and the Egg Nogg site so I had a search elsewhere for bargains just in case and found it on Amazon for £9 with free shipping!

It comes with washable fabric pens so children can colour a different toy each day and then the stocking can be washed and reused the following year so it would make a nice gift for eco-friendly families as well:

SleeptightDaisy · 19/09/2019 16:36

Reastie the sets I got were on the end of an aisle but not on the main clearance section. They had money off some of the Lego sets in main Lego section too. They did have a few weeks ago the Lego creator sets normally £13 each on the 2 for£15 not sure if that's still running.

Jammiebammie · 19/09/2019 16:44

Just adding this so @Reastie sees @SquintEastwood post above, I’m sure she was looking for a discount on the advent calendar, good find.
