Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

duckling84 · 19/09/2019 07:01

Not available just yet but matalan have released the designs for their 2019 alder hay pjs so if you are after them stalk the website as I reckon they will go live very very soon (and sell out super fast).
I'm personally not very keen on the design so will now look elsewhere for our xmas pjs

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2019 07:03

The pyjamas go live at 8.30. I have the page open!

Does anyone know what sizing is like?

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2019 07:04

Oh, and the Tesco offer is only milk chocolate. Sainsbury's are doing milk and dark for £1 each.

Jammiebammie · 19/09/2019 07:24

Pyjamas in all sizes ready to be added to bag now @NoWordForFluffy

here

Jammiebammie · 19/09/2019 07:25

And kids sizes here

PinkDaydreams · 19/09/2019 07:28

I found last years alder hey baby grows very big, not sure what the pyjamas were like. Unfortunately the baby grows were terrible quality, very thin, miss-shapen and bobbled on the first wash. I know it’s for charity but I just wasn’t happy with them. Hopefully this years will be better.

Spam88 · 19/09/2019 07:31

@Vebrithien Always worth keeping an eye out in TK Maxx for Brio.

@Allhallowseve I feel like the works would have fairy doors?

Whattodowithaminute · 19/09/2019 07:32

Bought some nice things from BrandAlley this morning;
Scion keyrings £6
Petit bateau bobble hats for £11
Amazing quality pyjamas from Derek Rose (which are a bit spendy) but do feel very luxurious and would be great for partners or someone you want to give something special to.
They have sales on Melissa and Doug at the moment
Christmas store is open too!

Also can do referral code for £20 off first spend which I’ll add to the other thread

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2019 07:39

Oh no. I don't actually like the pyjamas!

WhereTheresAHill · 19/09/2019 07:40

Anyone still thinking about the Good housekeeping 6month subscription with free cook book, they posted a letter to me today with it down to £6 with the book

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2019 07:46

I'm gutted re GH as it's the same gift as last year, which I have!

WaitWhatOh · 19/09/2019 07:49

Where is the best/most bargainous place to buy Nando’s gift cards..? Hoping to pick up four next week and wondered where I should go?

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2019 07:50

Costco does 2 x £20 for £34.99 if you know a member?

starlight36 · 19/09/2019 07:52

John Lewis wooden train sets are compatible with Bigjigs and Brio and are often included when John Lewis have reductions on their own brand toys. The paintwork colours are v similar to Bigjigs.

LikeSilver · 19/09/2019 07:58

Up to 50% off at asos from 8am apparently.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 19/09/2019 08:16

Does anyone know where I could find a very soft, fluffy mans dressing gown ideally online for under £25
I'm also looking for some pretty notepaper as cheap as possible. I need to post out prizes for a new Podcast and want to include a small note but I can't seem to find any suitable paper that doesn't require me selling a kidney.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 19/09/2019 08:44

Ignore that. Just found them both Blush

Tacobella · 19/09/2019 08:51

Boots have started the 1/2 price Star Gifts

Pannalash · 19/09/2019 08:54

Your ’Very soft fluffy man’ sounds lovely @Fueledwithfairydustandgin* hope he likes his dressing gown Grin

SheStoodInTheStorm · 19/09/2019 10:03

Do you suppose the wooden caterpillar is safe?

I'm always wary of buying toys that may not have a safety stamp.

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 19/09/2019 10:14

Also £3.20 cashback through quidco for the Hearst good housekeeping £6 deal Grin

Fantababy · 19/09/2019 10:39

That ASOS sale is rubbish. Everything in my wish list is only 10-20%, which they were doing a couple of days ago anyway. I wonder if they're struggling. There have been a lot of sales recently.

wibbletooth · 19/09/2019 11:04

For anyone popping into Poundland it’s worth checking out their make up - they often have big name stuff for a pound.

While you can’t go in and be sure that you can get red lipstick and green nail varnish or whatever it is you need, their stock turns over pretty quickly and there are some great bits if you want to add to a present.

For example - I’ve had Burts Bees and maybelline tinted lip balms (both cost about £6 each usually), nails inc nail varnish and nail protector products, revlon/Calvin klein/L’Oréal/Borjois/etc lip sticks, chubby sticks, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher, foundation and so on. A few are crazy colours but most are pretty normal and wearable. Plus if you want to try out blue sparkle nail varnish you’ll feel so much better about it if it’s a proper brand that you’ve only paid a pound for!

I’ve stocked up on the tinted lip balms to be nice little extras to add to presents - I seem to have lots of females aged 10-30 to buy for that these will be good to wrap nicely and add to presents to look good.
