Luxplus · 19/09/2019 18:17

@imsorryiasked she doesn't have any yet so none particularly, but I was thinking the family or if you could get like a "house set"

Reastie · 19/09/2019 19:01

Thanks jammie, I almost went to smiggle today, grr! Might see how much postage is and what tat is actually in it.

Does anyone knowOf any offers on puzzle magazine subscriptions?

Luxplus · 19/09/2019 19:05

@imsorryiasked if you have any good recommendations for playmobil please share. We are newbies with it but dd has set her heart on it

Reastie · 19/09/2019 19:05

Fgs postage for smiggle is 5 unless you spend +£50. Which I’m not doing! Kicking myself for not going there earlier now.

@Luxplus you can get every single tiny bit of Playmobil from their website. So if you just need a toilet look up the part number for that set or another set with a toilet and you can order just the toilet. Hope that helps. We got some second hand Playmobil with tiny bits missing and were able to order them all.

Can anyone help with a Fjallraven Kanken (please excuse awful spelling!) backpack? Are they worth the eye watering price tag? Do they ever go on sale? Best place to buy from? (Worried about fakes) Thanks!

babynugget · 19/09/2019 19:45

@22Giraffes keep an eye on Cotswolds outdoors for the Kanken. I got mine reduced there 2 years ago. Usually limited colours. I love mine - you can stuff so much in it and the little seat pad - which I thought was a gimmick - has saved my little derrière on many an unexpected occasion.

RoseyPeas · 19/09/2019 19:45

Anyone know if Smiggle usually do Black Friday deals?
I don't know whether to buy now or hold on!

babynugget · 19/09/2019 19:48

@22Giraffes I've just looked at the price of these and they have rocketed! I paid £40 and the full price then was only £60!!! I would not pay £80!

Jammiebammie · 19/09/2019 19:49

No worries @Reastie what a bummer about postage, can you get free delivery to store at all?

@22Giraffes ASOS have some of their kankens on sale here cheapest being £59.60. I think you can use student discount on top of that, they usually work on sale items too. 10% atm.

Urban outfitters have exclusive ones and although they start at £80, if you can hold out you can regularly get student discounts or promotions for 20%

Reastie · 19/09/2019 20:00

Jammie unfortunately local smiggle isn’t local so was unusual I was near today

@Pannalash Grin it's my brother and I think the dressing gown is to counter his slightly prickly personality Grin

22Giraffes · 19/09/2019 20:15

@babynugget I knew they were expensive but was shocked to find out they were £80 Shock didn't know about the seat pad, sounds great! Checked Costwold outdoor and they have the colour DD wants for around £66 but on back order atm.

@JammieBammie thanks for the info, I might need to find a student somewhere Grin either way I'm glad to know there are discounts occasionally!

Aph413 · 19/09/2019 20:18

Totally not bargain related. Anyone seen mince pies in aldi yet? Or know when they might appear?
It's a killer pregnancy craving to get Grin

Justonedayatatime11 · 19/09/2019 20:20

Aph413 not Aldi, but I know Tesco and Sainsbury's have them in. Nothing to do with me having eaten 2 boxes....

PinkDaydreams · 19/09/2019 20:26

Does anyone know if/when sale items go further into sale please? Got page open on a few different sale items and I’ve noticed they’ve gone up in price!

QueefLatifah · 19/09/2019 20:35

£10 off every £50 spent starts next week at smyths.
Sorry if mentioned already

Jammiebammie · 19/09/2019 20:39

@22Giraffes my dd gets student discounts, more than happy to send one over.

Oh @Reastie that’s rubbish, we don’t have one near either. Don’t think any discount code will work on top of the sale price either eh.

I wish smyths did their discount online, annoys the hell out of me!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 19/09/2019 20:43

Chips - hello fellow locket fan :)

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 19/09/2019 20:45

@Aph413 I am going in Aldi tomorrow so will have a look for you. You've just reminded me I really like their Christmas cake even though I don't really like it Grin

Sixp · 19/09/2019 20:50

Can anyone help me find a bargainous way to buy Doc Marten brown fur lined Chelsea boots? They are £149! But are just what dd needs 🙈

lotusbell · 19/09/2019 20:55

Does anyone know if The White Company do many sales/Black Friday/discount codes in the next few months? Mumsnet email with one the other day but it was 10% off and free delivery but free delivery seems to only be for over £50 spend so 10% off my basket didn't amount to much. Want to try some of the new Christmas scents, my nearest branch didn't have any of them in, bar Winter, when I went yesterday.

NoSquirrels · 19/09/2019 20:56

Some good Bomb Cosmetics offers on Amazon today. I have bought the Santa Says Relax sack at £14 - camelcamelcamel days it’s a decent offer and works out at £2 a bath bomb. Good for teens & tweens. There’s some other offers on gift sets for blokes/superhero fans which look quite good too.
