I had 5 chocolate oranges I now have 4Blush

Jammiebammie · 18/09/2019 18:21

Thanks so much @Honeywort that’s very helpful ☺️ Definitely the right size for us, girls are older now so not as much big stuff in their stockings. They’ve only got 3 down to £15 right now though the rest are £25 and as I need 5 of them I might have to wait for the rest to hopefully come down a bit.

Waah dh won’t go to Tesco for me for the chocolate oranges 😭 it’s literally 5 mins down the road. Might get dd1 to take a trip down at some point in the promise she can eat one now. We’re the white chocolate ones reduced?

AirPods 2 are still reduced on amazon, best price I’ve ever seen. £143.98 for the charging case ones and £169.00 for the wireless. Limited to one per account so I’ve ordered a second from my dads. That’s my 2 oldests main presents done.

Just a reminder for Irish bargain hunters that the Avoca factory sale starts tomorrow morning (10am -6pm) and runs until Sunday in the pink building at the entrance to Avoca Kilmacanogue.

wibbletooth · 18/09/2019 19:27

@MutedUser Not that I’ve had a chance to go to Tesco’s for the bargainous chocolate oranges yet but I do so hate it when you end up with a handful of the rogue evaporating version ones that you buy and then the next time you check on them have just disappeared into nothing. You’d think they’d come with a warning label!
I have the same problem with the Polish chocolate cherry liqueurs from Sainsbury’s (a smidge of the price of the Hotel Chocolat equivalents but just as tasty). Unfortunately they tend to leave their red foil wrappers behind to taunt and tease ShockConfusedGrinGrinGrin

Tacobella · 18/09/2019 19:30

@Jammiebammie and @Worrywart21 thanks for the reassurance about Tarte, have just placed my order. Fingers crossed it’s all ok as that will be 4 presents sorted.

HoneyDragon · 18/09/2019 19:36

Heads up. The Denby sale has started. This combined with using Tesco vouchers has worked out hugely bargainous for me in the past.

gaggiagirl · 18/09/2019 19:45

@Tacobella I've also used tarte with no issues. In june and December they do a special offer of 7 full sized items for 70usd, so about £54, free p&p and cashback from top cashback. Shape tape foundation is included.

Tacobella · 18/09/2019 19:46

Couple of Benefit gift sets on feelunique with 25% off and if you spend £35 on Benefit you get a free benefit skincare gift set which is automatically added on checkout. So both sets and skincare set for £38.40 & free delivery. Not sure if any other codes would work as well.

SquintEastwood · 18/09/2019 19:59

Picked up our Barbie clinic from Asda, it's a pretty big box :o

Reastie · 18/09/2019 20:07

Jammie I will photo tomorrow as they are hidden on the top of dds wardrobe! Remind me if I forget. They are relatively small, couldn’t fit a lot in , but the quality is very good and I love it’s been hand needle worked. It’s the kind of thing I can fill for dc even when they’re adults quite easily. I’m going to prob do a pillowcase as well but I love the lands e d ones for keepsake value. I chose the ones reduced to £15 and got them personalised and it was 30% off at the time so effectively the extra cost of personalised was free iykwim.

Wooden Hungry Caterpillar for 90p and £1.20 delivery on amazon.

Add the book for £4.93 and its a pretty cute gift for a little one.

Courtney555 · 18/09/2019 20:46

Those wooden caterpillars are lovely! They come with suggested buys of little half munched pears and apples at 39p each.

Going to put aside for my twins next year.

Thanks!

woodwaj · 18/09/2019 20:57

Smiggle advent offer today only!

Thread 3 - I do not need hot chocolate balls and I never thought I'd get so stressed over willies
balalalala · 18/09/2019 21:21

@whitecandle the warnings were about how annoying they are as toys! Thanks for the link

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 18/09/2019 21:24

Those wooden caterpillars are gorgeous but it says in the sizing that they are 3cms long!

Can’t be right can it?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/09/2019 21:31

busymum my soon to be 11 year old has asked for a build a bear, some funko pop figures and we've got tickets to slipknot in January so got her a bag, hoodie and t-shirt 😁

oh and all you people who buy toot toot then generously donate to your local nursery.... we go home with the bloody songs buzzing in our heads after 6 hours of them randomly going off 🤣

now I need assistance.... dd2 has decided Stewie the phallic llama (peacocks purchase from last year's thread) needs a girlfriend! anyone seen a large llama anywhere???

and does anyone have a free delivery code for Matalan?

Courtney555 · 18/09/2019 21:31

No it's not right, if you scroll down to reviews you can see they are bigger. Still "party bag sized" according to one reviewer, so not particularly big, but not 3cm.

recklessgran · 18/09/2019 21:44

I just looked at the reviews for the caterpillars and somebody has posted that the Amazon measurements are wrong and they're about 10cms long.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 18/09/2019 21:45

Quite fancy a caterpillar myself

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 18/09/2019 22:06

@Fuckingfuckssake Are you sure it wasn't the Holland and Barrett one? It has a box of 4 heart shaped bars in, shampoo, conditioner, face wash & body butter. I ordered 2 as gifts but am totally using one already and will probably keep the other one too!

Fuckingfuckssake · 18/09/2019 22:14

Errrrrr, yep, it totally was, thank you!!

noodledoodler · 18/09/2019 22:49

My spode christmas tree set arrived a couple of days ago and I got round to opening it this evening to check its all intact, it is absolutely gorgeous so glad I bought it, great pressie for the intended recipient, thanks to all who mentioned the offer.

Bluewavescrashing · 19/09/2019 06:17

Just ordered a caterpillar and apple for my nephew.

I've made quite a lot of progress the last few days! This thread is brilliant 🙂

Vebrithien · 19/09/2019 06:44

My Spode set arrived yesterday too! Went for the £50 mugs set. This is for MEEEE! I also believe that there is another set, wotht the bowls and the free small bowls, as a belated birthday present waiting with my DM. Just so I have enough for hosting over Christmas Grin

In other news, yes, I have 4 chocolate oranges (only had milk chocolate in my Tesco), some nip and fab serum for DM, a cut glass cocktail mixer for DH (was full price at £15, but too nice to miss).
I also got a set of Joseph Joseph nested bowls for £10.25 instead of £35, in the garden centre end of line sale which will do very nicely for DS.

DD will be getting lots of the lovely IKEA mini kitchen equipment, as well as something for her wooden train table.
Does anyone know if Bigjigs or Brio ever have pre-Christmas discounts?

Vebrithien · 19/09/2019 06:50

Sorry, link failure! It does still work though. Mia's house, (Lego Friends) on Amazon, for £34.99 (discount of 42%)
