I have some de cluttering planned today . Still not into my Christmas Stride yet but I suppose now my DC are older teens there's less planning and less secrecy .

DH and I are going to a Rocky Horror stage show tomorrow , I have my outfit

It's a nice start to today, which wasn't forecast! See how long it lasts.

This isn't little, Mase, it's visible from space rather large. The nurse was quite perturbed by it (and called a doctor in!). It's going down though.

I've woken with a cold today. I'm unimpressed. I've had to cancel giving blood tomorrow, as they don't want ill people. Annoying.

Am just thinking isn't it strange the amount of posters who come on here, who have been 'lurking' for ages yet they plough straight in as if they have known us forever. They are either pregnant or have DC with very old fashioned names and within a few days of being here , they deliver their babies with a huge fanfare, despite having only been on Mumsnet for a day sometimes. Have been monitoring new posters via advanced search because it has obviously made me very suspicious of any new person. Especially as we have had many many posters over the last 10 months coming here, getting their feet under the table being welcomed by all of us regulars. I have reported many of them to Mumsnet and it may be a coincidence but they have then vanished to only be replaced by another of these such posters immediately 🙄.
I wondered what everyone must be making of it & thought it was time l bought it out into the open . You see when l was first a member , MN was huge to me and l didn't find this little Oasis of lovely ppl for ages , then l lurked before finally plucking up courage to tentatively post. I am sure l am perfectly normal and a lot of us have behaved the same. I just hate being taken for a fool . I also don't like the absolute cruelty of the pregnancy, scan pics , birth stories, name dilemmas and out and out blatant attention seeking about their babies when these ppl have been asked very nicely to not be so insensitive. I know we mention our DC and are happy for ppl to be pregnant too but this is a never ending supply of the same behaviour which is frankly unbelievable and upsetting my friends So l have got that off my chest.

Same fluffy. I've woken wirh a sore throat. Luckily no work today but food shopping and need to go to the bank then home then sharing assembly then back to my friends for a grown up sleepover with dd too

Mrs, I think it's wise to be cautious as you can never really know people's motivations online. If people stayed long term like we have, I don't think we'd be so suspicious. But they don't.

The thing is, Mase, we just don't know who's genuine anymore. Which is a shame for people who are! But if you stick around a while, we'll happily get to know you.

And I intend to stay long term

colds must be in the air, i woke up with a runny nose and a sore throat..will take the weekend off to recoup. I don’t know if any of you like friends..but have you seen what happens if you type their name into google?. there’s an icon and you click on it and something happens I saw it on facebook and wanted to share

@NoWordForFluffy no worries!..i can understand that it might be difficult to welcome people with open arms if there’s been so many trolls..but I will stay around..its a lovely little safe corner of MN.

It is, @maseandmum, which is why the influx of trolls over the last 12 or so months has been so wearing for us all.

@Maseandmum don't worry. I hope I'm interpreting correctly but I am sure that MrsMad wasn't talking to any individual poster. This is an incredibly supportive thread and everyone is really friendly. These ladies were brilliant last year when I lost my mum. Some of us have been here years and you do see patterns of behaviour with some new posters that make you cynical.

Hang around and please keep posting - goodness knows it's hard enough to join a long running thread.

Mase have you seen the bargain threads? There is a site mentioned on there that does wooden toys but I can't remember the name . It's definitely on the first or second thread - I think they are up to about the fourth now. I bought a fabulous Lanka Kade 3D jigsaw as a Christmas present for my great nephew for about £7.

@TheWoollybacksWife i’ll Have a look now..I love wooden toys for DS..the site I was on yesterday had some awesome books about feelings, personal space, feminism etc which I really liked so I’ve got some of them.

its so cold..it’s meant to rain soon for most of the day.
