Hit me with all your Christmas breakfast traditions....

We've been having eggs benedict for the last few years. Me with bacon and DP with salmon.

Might try something different this year

We have croissants with bacon. This was my husband's suggestion and he loves it. I would rather have something else but I'm not sure what, so will be following this thread with interest!

We do ikea cinnamon rolls, M&S croissants & a glass of mimosaGrin nice & healthy

AmericanAbroad · 20/08/2019 15:51

Growing up Santa would leave a case of cinnamon rolls in the fridge for us Smile

My husbands family always had bagels & smoked salmon.

And Buck's Fizz, of course

WhatHaveIFound · 20/08/2019 15:52

On the years we're not away on holiday it's smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on toast with OJ.

Dangerfloof · 20/08/2019 15:53

Salmon, scrambled eggs on bagels.

iklboo · 20/08/2019 15:53

DS (expensive sod) loves blinis, caviar (he gets the cheaper stuff) and sour cream.

We have eggs royale with the rest of the smoked salmon.

Or bacon butties / bagels with chilli cheese.

incontrolofmyownlife · 20/08/2019 15:53

Usually egg and bacon buns!

Tempted to do pastries this year, DH loves a continental breakfast Grin

Whitecandle · 20/08/2019 15:54

Only I like cinnamon/Christmassy flavours (I loooove them) so can't do the cinnamon rolls... but I really want them now 😂

I'm thinking pancakes this year possibly.

Mega easy American pancake recipe -
200g flour
1tsp baking powder
1tbsp sugar
3 eggs
25g melted butter
200ml milk

Cook in butter.

Perfect every time!! And puff up like a bitch!

Cup of tea and a bag of chocolate coins Grin

MaureenSowerbutts · 20/08/2019 15:56

I always fancy something different but we always end up with salmon, scrambled eggs, croissants and bucks fizz.

Coffeeandchocolate9 · 20/08/2019 15:56

Normal stuff. Lunch and dinner are the exciting meals around here!

yearinyearout · 20/08/2019 16:42

Fererro rocher

LellyM · 20/08/2019 16:51

We always have hot croissants with good butter/jam, smoked salmon and scrambled egg and bucks fizz. Yum!

Ninkaninus · 20/08/2019 16:52

We either have freshly baked croissants (from frozen - I cut whichever corners I reasonably can at Christmas!) with marmalade, or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on German grain bread. Always with Buck’s Fizz. That’s the bit my girls have liked most since they were young teens.

One year I made brioche French Toast but that was too much effort and actually too sweet for us, so we haven’t repeated that.

Ninkaninus · 20/08/2019 16:53

Lelly you have such good taste! 😄🎄

DurhamDurham · 20/08/2019 16:55

Buck's Fizz, proper coffee, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Followed by copious amounts of chocolate Grin

GreyGardens88 · 20/08/2019 16:55

Bacon sandwiches!

golddustwomen · 20/08/2019 16:55

We have oj for the kids, glass of champs for us. Bagels, Philadelphia, cold meats and cheese.
Honestly I'm so excited for Christmas already 🎅

Crankybitch · 20/08/2019 16:55

Coffee when we wake up - thankfully later now kids getting a bit older

Champagne & panettone with presents

Smoked salmon , poached eggs with truffle salt and nice bread

Ninkaninus · 20/08/2019 16:56

I’ve heard very good things about Nigella’s Christmas muffins, but I’ve never tried them. I think she suggests you do the dry mix in the evening and then just mix it up in the morning and bake, which sounds great.

Ninkaninus · 20/08/2019 16:56

Oh yes if we’re doing eggs and salmon we also serve a Pandora on the side. Mmmm.

KatherineJaneway · 20/08/2019 16:56

Champagne and toast. Leaves plenty of room for lunch Grin

Passthecherrycoke · 20/08/2019 16:57

Eggs and smoked salmon, either scrambled or benedict, with Buck’s Fizz.

Children have pancakes with white chocolate sauce made to look like a snowman.

Yumm

Pipandmum · 20/08/2019 16:58

We tend to have Christmas dinner around 5-5.30 so we have a big breakfast with French toast and bacon and maple syrup.

Sparkledust2015 · 20/08/2019 16:58

Someone posted somewhere about putting krispy kreme ring doughnuts in the waffle maker.... that's becoming a temping alternative... :)
