Afternoon!

In the absence of @SideOrderofChips (I hope you don't mind me jumping in, Chips Flowers ), here's the first bargain prequel thread of this year.

Use this thread to post any bargains you may have until @Reastie comes back in a few months' time! Xmas Grin

And thanks everyone for the Oliver Bonas nudge - I bought three great necklaces in the sale. Only one is for me! Two presents sorted.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2019 18:15

There's some lovely bits in the Tinc sale still. I've now definitely completed the stockings for the kids!

Thanks for the Polly Pocket and Oliver Bonas tips.

DD’s stocking is started with the PPs, and I started DS’s today with some £1 K’nex sets in The Entertainer’s clearance.

I can’t link right now but there was a big Kidkraft dolls house on amazon deals this morning, I think it was £130 down from £180-something. Not cheap, but if anyone is looking for a dolls house I would fully recommend the Kidkraft ones, DD’s is beautiful and is absolutely built to last. And it fits Barbie sized dolls - it’s far better than the Barbie dream house we tried first which snapped constantly.

Hobbycraft have the cardboard colour in playhouses for half price ATM

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2019 21:06

That bloody colour in castle is the bane of my life as it's in the way!

Hours and hours of play with it though. Xmas Grin

Where can I find the joules outlet pls?

101Robin · 09/08/2019 00:47

Jewellery stands are weirdly expensive. If anyone sees one, please post it here

tanya1986 · 09/08/2019 01:06

Place marking 😁

Allhallowseve · 09/08/2019 06:25

Love that this thread is really starting to pick up now . I go on holiday a week Saturday and am always buying Xmas pressies from this thread while there. Love the fact that it’s nearly September by the time we get back.
I just ordered the radio times subscription to start at the end of Nov I didn’t order it last year and really missed it ! Couldn’t justify paying the full price for just the Xmas week issue after I had paid £1 the past few years.
I set up the direct debit I assume they take the £1 from this? Can anyone remind me do I just cancel after I receive the first issue?

inbetweenforever · 09/08/2019 06:30

Getting me in the mood for Christmas already lol.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/08/2019 06:44

@Allhallowseve, you cancel after the last one, technically. They responded quickly last year. I cancelled too early the first year and they didn't send my Christmas one! 🙈🙈

PoundToy.com sent me a code for an extra 50% off their clearance range - ‘Extra50’. I used them last year and they are great for stocking fillers. Lots of blind bags.

imsorryiasked · 09/08/2019 07:43

@likesilver you beat me to it Grin
I've picked up some Christmas sacks, paw patrol crackers, and crackling bath stuff!

Mustangsallyis · 09/08/2019 08:41

@101Robin I don't know what type of jewellery stand you're after but I spotted this in the Rex London sale for £6.95 reduced from £24.95 https://www.rexlondon.com/amelie-brass-jewellery-stand

And there are also a couple half price in Oliver Bonas sale at £12 and £16 https://www.oliverbonas.com/sale/category/all

EvilHerbivore · 09/08/2019 09:21

Anyone received their spectator gin yet? Received the first copy of the magazine but nothing else

Isadora2007 · 09/08/2019 09:52

@Mustangsallyis the Rex sale is fab and be sorted a lot of my advent box gifts from it for less than a pound each. Thank you

Methenyouplus4 · 09/08/2019 10:02

My six year old loved doing this with his dad and his 14 year old brother was very interested too. You use the physical blocks to design your own charscters&platform game which then works on your phone. Brilliant gift for the price:

M&M Direct has been good to me this week. Scarves, gloves and socks 99p. superdry t-shirt £6.99, Jack Jones t-shirt £4.99 and Adidas I have pretty much finished most of my shopping in 4 shops there. If you pay a slightly higher postage free you get free next day delivery all year. i managed to snag a superdry scarf which was in store last Christmas for £35.00 for the bargain price of £6.99.

Totally forgot about this online shop!

peasando · 09/08/2019 14:14

M&M direct also have 12% cash back for new customers on TopCashback at the moment.

boughtnotbrought · 09/08/2019 19:37

Looked at the Oliver Bonas sale hoping to get some gifts, ended up buying myself a sundress for my upcoming hols Blushwas £69.50 reduced to £20 so still counts as a bargain right?

imsorryiasked · 09/08/2019 19:39

Thanks @Methenyouplus4 - also if you look at the other items being sold by Mattel there are some really good reductions.
Squawk game down to £9.99 and Travel Pictionary down to £8.10 amongst others.
I randomly clicked on another board game and it came up with a voucher for 15% off certain new and used board games but I can't find it now so if anyone else has better luck please let me know!

imsorryiasked · 09/08/2019 19:57

Ok I've found another game with a 15% off voucher, but can't find any way to filter a search to just pick up qualifying items. Anyone know?
