Here we go, brand spanking new thread.

If you could finish the old one off first, that would be great!

He never gets much over 50kg. It's a combination of only being able to digest 0.25 of the fat he ingests even with medication and feeling full because his stomach's full of mucus.

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 08:26

DS2's staying off school today as he's got diarrhoea. 😢💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 09:27

DD still wanted me to accompany her to school, back home now, making a ham and mushroom omelette. 😋🍄

CishAndFips · 31/01/2019 12:09

Afternoon all, it's -2 here with a thin layer of snow left over from yesterday. Just back from the GP with a plan and feeling a bit more positive. DD has just gone for a nap so I'm curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea.

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 12:12

Making a fish pie for DS2's lunch. 😋🐟

TheWoollybacksWife · 31/01/2019 12:20

I've got DS home under the 48 hour rule as he vomited yesterday. I'm fairly certain he's better as he's eating anything that isn't nailed down. Sorry to hear that other DC are poorly too.

Glad to hear your doctor's appointment went well Cish.

We are under a yellow warning for snow later this evening. DD2 is travelling home for the weekend and she is expected in about 30 minutes before the snow is about to start.

By the looks of the MetOffice map you are under the Amber warning MrsMad. Stay safe.

NottingPhil · 31/01/2019 12:29

It seems like everyone’s poorly on this thread, Flowers to you all.

I can’t keep much down at the minute but Alfie is back to his usual self. It’s -6 here, and snow meant to be coming later tonight. I’m so cold!

TheWoollybacksWife · 31/01/2019 12:41

Notting I was cold last night while sitting and watching tv and I made myself a hot water bottle and sat with it on my lap. Bliss.

WheelchairWoes · 31/01/2019 14:46

PSB I kind of hope my boobs get some of the weight lol!!

I'm sorry DS2 is sickly today poor mite.

Glad DD is still well though!

fluffy Yup! Indiana is in the Mid-west!! My oldest loves owls too. I think I might frame this one and hang it in her room :) They've been so so good at helping me with all this tube stuff and I adore them for it.

Cish I'm glad you feel more positive after the GP! I hope they have a plan in order for you now!

Woolly Oh no! Another sick one! This thread's kids are just having a rough go of things right now!!

Notting I'm so glad Alfie is back to his usual self!

I'm about to hook up to my formula! I have to call and get Joe a doctors appointment. His lower back has been in so much pain and even with a day off yesterday he can barely walk! He doesn't want to see the doctor but he needs to and I'm worried about him.

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2019 15:00

Afternoon everyone Xmas Grin
Didn't have time to post this morning, had to go straight up town to buy a Peacocks voucher for my Mum to give to one of her friends (Tony) DD (Sally) . Sally is married and lives away but is spending the week with her Dad Tony and Sally's DD Kate . Sally has special needs and she came to see Mum on the weekend with her Father Tony and her DD called Kate (also special needs ) Kate has always lived with her Grandparents, Tony and his now deceased wife Jackie because Sally can barely look after herself let alone a child. Sally wore the most awful mans coat , it was about 10 sizes too big for her and so masculine. My Mum was so upset she asked me to get the voucher for her , l had to get a voucher because Mum says Sally's DH would spend the money on beer Hmm. I did it on the sly without my Dsis knowing , only for Sally to phone today and tell my Dsis to thank Mum for the voucher Hmm. This has caused an awful row up there between Mum and Dsis, honestly l just give up. I saw Sally myself on Sunday and she looked awful , quite honestly l would buy her a blasted coat myself , she looked so poor. I can't blame the Grandfather , he said to me he is having to look after the 2 of them this week because they don't do anything . not because they don't want to but because they are so bad. I am cringeing at the whole charade Blush and l don't even know why !

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 15:06

Thanks Wheelie, he's mostly okay, just the diarrhoea. We have a 48 hour rule in this borough, so he's off until at least Monday. DD doesn't usually get stomach bugs, so she should be OK.

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2019 15:14

l don't know why my life is like this, it is as if all these things happen and it is all my fault and l am only trying to be kind and help Hmm
Anyway must catch up with you all , hope everyone is getting better and their DC too Flowers
Wheelie , that is wonderful you are gaining weight m'dear ahh bless you , l am sure you must be so much happier and your Joe bless him Flowers keep up the brilliant work!
Fluffy get your wellies on m'dear and make snow angels with the DC , YAY! Xmas Grin Your Friday today!
PSB ahh your poor DS1 , l have worked with so many young CF sufferers and it is such a horrible disease, it is truly so debilitating and so time consuming, just taking the meds and inhalations and the physio and the feeds takes it out of them. I have to say though the treatment is much better now than when l nursed those children years ago. They were such lovely kids , a lot of them in their teens and spent so long on the ward they practically lived there and you couldn't help but get so fond of them and their families bless them . The Nurses used to love them and would do anything to please and help them. They were like our extended family in a way. Oh God l am going on , l will shut up now Xmas Grin

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 15:15

Wheelie I hope Joe's okay. Flowers

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 15:25

I'm sure DS1 would have loved to have you as his nurse Mrs. 💓 When he was first diagnosed he was so lethargic, they had a brilliant playleader who obviously adored the DC, next time DS1 was admitted he was much bouncier, and Brian the lovely playleader said "he's like a completely different child." He picked him up, turned him upside down and tickled him. 💓

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2019 15:28

I posted too early Hmm
PSB ahh poor DS2 he must be feeling awful , there are so many bugs going about everywhere , they seem to be sweeping the country! Hope he is much better very soon m'dear Flowers
Wheelie hope Joe is ok sweetie ahh bless him , l bet it is all that loo cleaning you made him do Smile you awful woman! I have made mine do the windows outside, while l did the insides , hehe l am no fool lol Xmas Grin his poor hands were frozen even with gloves on! Cruel MrsMad! Xmas Grin
Notting am so glad to hear Alfie is back to normal, hope you are feeling much better too Flowers
Woolly despite the amber warning we haven't had a flake yet.... we all all agog here waiting with baited breath and we are all disappointed lol Xmas Grin
So sorry to hear DS has been poorly but he sounds on the mend now thankfully Flowers have you seen the Woolly hug stuff on their FB page ahhh l am so impressed the things are so pretty and so intricate , l know l keep on but it just seems so good hearted of ppl , bless them all .
Cish that is wonderful you are feeling happier and have a plan from the Gp great stuff, no keeping you down now m'dear ! Flowers
Dancing for Mum has been cancelled tonight due to the weather, DH has just bought me a lovely cuppa in bless him, will speak later have a lovely afternoon everyone Xmas Grin

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2019 15:32

PSB . Your DS playleader Brian sounds like an absolute darling bless him , l bet he loved his job and you could all tell too espesh the children . Some ppl are just so kind and unselfish, they are the ones who should be given awards , not the head of corporations , it is all wrong.
Will get off my soapbox now lol cuppa tea beckoning Xmas Grin

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 15:44

Making chicken and broccoli pie for supper. 😋🍗

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 16:24

DD's got her SPAG booster today. 😆

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 16:53

DD's back, I'm heating up her supper. 😆

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2019 17:03

PSB the chicken & broccoli pie sounds delish!

WheelchairWoes · 31/01/2019 17:22

Mrs Your stupid sister can go suck a rotten egg!! That was so sweet of your mom and you to do for Sally and SIS is just jealous. UGH I want to spit on her.

PSB Other parents thank you for keeping him home! Around here everyone sends their kids to school sick and it just spreads!

Joe says his back hurts because of how he sleeps. I told him he needs a wedge and a pregnancy pillow. If this pain doesn't get better in a week he's going to the doctor whether he likes it or not.

Chicken and broccoli pie sounds delicious. I'm all hooked up to my feed. I'll increase the ml to 55 at 2 pm and then 60 ml at 6 pm and then finish out the last 6 hours at 60 ml/hr. I'm so so close to goal and cannot wait.

Joe has to work today but no post today. This is day 2 without post and I'm sad. I'm waiting on some supplies to help me with my tubie stuff.

Been working on my embroidery all morning and decided I'd make myself some tubie pads too

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 17:39

DS2's in bed. 😴

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 17:47

DD will go to bed at 8.45. 😴

Mrsmadevans · 31/01/2019 18:59

Wheelie l know right ! What on earth is wrong with her l just do not know. My Mum can be a pita sometimes , very demanding, selfish, lazy and nasty on times BUT she is very generous & compassionate to others bless her . Poor Sally has been robbed of a life with her DD due to her disability, hell she has been robbed of a life per say and it is heartbreaking for her and her family. There seems to be no charity in her heart . I have gone on enough about her , there is no end to it Hmm
Your Joe, poor thing he is a typical man , why they won't go to the Drs l really don't know . I think they are under the misapprehension that once they go then they will find something terrible wrong with them and if they don't go then there is nothing wrong with them Smile
Tubie pads are a great idea m'dear !
Snow started falling about an hour ago but not too bad yet ,so we shall see , hope everyone is in the warm and enjoying a nice cuppa Brew

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 19:55

DD's been entered into an inter-school reading competition. 😆#proudmum
