I've been and had my car serviced and done a bit of shopping that I can't afford. Plus picked o a baby shower gift that I'm going to on Sunday.

Seafoodeatit · 04/01/2019 13:31

Crazy I'm envious too, I can't crochet! I have been desperate to learn and bought myself a silly amount of hooks but can't seem to get the hang of it, I can knit so assumed I'd be able to pick it up. (I knit left handed and most of the videos are done by right handed people!).

wheels TLC is pretty much a channel where hoarding shows are their bread and butter, on all the time! I did really find a show - extreme time cheats or savers hilarious and I'm sure some of it was made up, it had people doing crazy stuff like washing dishes whilst having a shower, only wearing flip flops and one guy only had liquid meals!

I'm so sorry about your appointment :( it really is terrible how they can move it without telling you! I hope it goes well today. I see a specialist every 6 months, usually much longer if I need to re-arrange and they're always running really late, I was kept waiting over an hour last time and had to pick up my son from afterschool really late, the one time I was late - I was on the bus for two hours due to a horrible incident in Bath so instead of getting there really early - I had wanted to do some shopping beforehand, I got there 15 minutes late and the doctor had gone home despite me having called up, I had a big cry in the waiting room, not my finest hour I hate my kids seeing that.

fluffy enjoy sealife!

Philomena Yummy! I love omelettes, especially mushroom ones as I rarely get to have them.

Cathy Enjoy the drive down! that sounds like our christmas period as it's when DH takes the bulk of his time off work, I hope you have a great next couple of days together.

One of my Christmas presents from my parents was my mum having my biggest cross stitch project to date sorted and framed (she cleaned and starched it too!) It took me 2 years to finish as it's massive and I was pregnant with DD during that time and had months off.

NoWordForFluffy · 04/01/2019 13:49

SeaLife was good. They've improved the end part a bit and now have a display with MAHOOSIVE crabs in it! They were freaky!

Seafood, I'd love to see a photo of your cross stitch if you don't mind sharing it? I've just ordered 3 mystery medium cross stitch kits from Sew & So. For £20 delivered I thought I'd risk it. If they're not to my taste I can frame them and give them as gifts.

Clark's had no shoes in DD's size in the sale, so I'm looking elsewhere online now. I think she's an awkward / popular size (11E).

Mrs, I hope you've got through the decorations-removal OK!

Wreck, what shopping did you get?

Wheelie, good luck later on.

Those crabs are going to give me nightmares!! I got jeans, jumper, cardigan, trainers and a bodysuit (motivation to lose weight Grin)

Seafoodeatit · 04/01/2019 14:03

fluffy woahhh those are huge! mystery kits sounds interesting!

I've attached another photo so it should show up (I hope I'm not great with tech) I'll attach a closer up one, it's around 1m x 80cm or thereabouts!

WheelchairWoes · 04/01/2019 14:19

Good morning friends!

On the 11th day of Christmas I gladly give to thee
11 pipers piping
10 lords a leaping
9 ladies dancing
8 maids a milking
7 swans a swimming
6 geese a laying
5 golden rings
4 calling birds
3 french hens
2 turtledoves
and a partridge in a pear tree!

Fluffy I hope you guys have fun at Sealife! I assume it's some kind of aquarium? lol Now that I'm on the last page holy crap those crabs!!

I am sorry you couldn't find any shoes for your DD. My youngest is between sizes too and it makes shoe buying a bit difficult.

Mrs Good luck taking down the parents decorations!! Ours are coming down on Sunday! I'm a bit sad of it lol

Cathy I hope you have a good time with your family and it's a calming and nice drive!!

seafood Ohhhh we have some shows like that too. They are always kind of interesting to watch lol

I've totally been in the position of crying in the waiting room. I always feel so so silly but usually they are pretty understanding.

Your big stitching project is beautiful!! I've never done a very big one!! I keep thinking about it and then I'm like.....nah.....but someday I will lol

We've got about an hour until we leave and I should get up and get a shower and clothes. lol! I'll be back later guys! I hope you all are having a great day!

Morning, Wheelie! Yes, as you can see by the freaky crabs, it's an aquarium!

Seafood, that's amazing. And huge. Did you have a stand or did you use a hoop?

Good shopping haul, Wreck. I really need to lose about half a stone I think. At least 4lbs, I reckon. I'm guessing though as I daren't weigh myself, but I'm still in my small jeans, so think it's about right! 😂

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/01/2019 15:54

Been to the parents, done such a lot, showered them both , cut nails both of them lol, changed their beds, changed all their clothes, bought the washing home to do so l can dry it in my tumble, it is so cold it won't dry in their house. There has been no contact from her for over a week now and it is strange but it is up to them , if they want to sulk then they can get on with it. The lady for getting help for Mum and Dad is coming next Friday , l am hoping we will be able to sort care out for them to be able to give us a bit of time off . Fingers crossed Xmas Smile

We finally got the guttering bought for the allotment shed, so DH will put that on once the kids are back at school so our water butt can fill up ready for when we have to water stuff!

NoWordForFluffy · 04/01/2019 17:07

Mrs, you've been so busy!

We've had the heating on all day today as the wind is from the coast and it's bitterly cold out there. It's not overly windy, but it's just so cold!

No luck with the shoe hunt yet. Will try again later on a bigger screen!

Mrsmadevans · 04/01/2019 17:09

Fluffy that looks delish! Think it is prob quite spicy am l right lol? Will the DC eat it as well?
It is great when things start to come together , you will soon have that allotment up to scratch it is almost there!

NoWordForFluffy · 04/01/2019 17:26

It's really quite hot, Mrs! 🌶🌶🌶🌶 🔥 🔥🔥🔥But very tasty!

And, no, the kids won't eat it. They have fishy Friday (fish fingers, waffle and beans and / or peas) on Friday.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/01/2019 17:34

We've had the heating on all day for a while now, I keep the thermostat at 14 when I'm out, as it costs more to heat up from stone cold (thank you finance expert on breakfast news for that one). It was -3 last night here, -1 forecast tonight.

Mrsmadevans · 04/01/2019 17:43

PSB is that true? Xmas Shock I never have the heating on at night or the day unless we are here. Seems l must be doing it wrong , must look into this asap!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 04/01/2019 17:56

We don't have a room thermostat so that wouldn't work here.

The new boiler / rad combination have really helped as the house gets up to temp more quickly and the lounge easily gets to 21 degrees. The old rad would've struggled to get it above 17 today. And when it can't get properly warm it drops to stupidly low temps overnight (like 11-12 degrees!). It did drop to 15 overnight in the lounge last night, but warmed up OK.

If it's really cold we will switch the heating go on all day once we're up though. I don't believe in being cold!

Mrsmadevans · 04/01/2019 18:44

21 sounds very toasty to me Fluffy Grin
We noticed a difference in the warmth of the house when we had the windows redone thankfully !

OP posts:
PhilomenaButterfly · 04/01/2019 18:47

Only when it's really, really cold Mrs, like it was 3° today when I went out. We don't have it on at night though, or we'd boil up.
