Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

Driving me nuts that aldi have fortnite toys on the website but no release date! Need to know when i can buy the stupid things!

rubyred38 · 03/12/2018 13:06

This Yankee candle gift set is on amazon for under £10

RenardeRenarde · 03/12/2018 13:28

The Fortnite toys appear as an “online exclusive” in Sunday 9ths “Special Buys” list but not any of the other days so I’m betting they’ll go live on Sunday

1stTimeMama · 03/12/2018 13:36

@beadyboo honestly, if you can get away with not buying Toot Toot, don't. It's truly rubbish. And to answer your question, the small cars talk when you press the button, or automatically when pushed along the track, but they can't be remotely controlled.

ZIGGY911 · 03/12/2018 13:54

Asda have their 3 for £20 on selected dvds, books and cds. Usually a good selection but not as good as previous years.

OhRex · 03/12/2018 13:57

@JammieBammie I'm getting a bit worried about my Claire's order too. Got acknowledgement email, and money has come out of account, but still saying not shipped in order status. My online log in is refusing to work AND they keep sending me emails saying 'there is something in your basket'. No there isn't, I bought it you bastards. Tried ringing them but just get a taped message saying the are experiencing extremely high call levels and to ring back later. THEN IT CUT ME OFF grrrrrrrrr

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 03/12/2018 14:06

I'll add Look fantastic to the Birchbox worries...took advantage of the "first box for a pound" offer, was going to get dd a beauty subscription anyway- and that AND the fifteen quid for the next one both been taken, but so far no box.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 03/12/2018 14:06

Thanks for the snowman tip @hoopdeloop

LostMyRubySlippers · 03/12/2018 14:27

My 2 Nov birch boxes have just arrived by courier. Happy enough with the contents for the price paid. Planning to gift one to my SIL & put the other bits in my own stocking lol! Might play around with the contents to give her the bits she’s most likely to use

Lovemusic33 · 03/12/2018 14:30

Found the new thread. Glad my glitter pussy gets a mention in the title 🤣

Went real life shopping yesterday to get the last bits, spent a fortune in b&m. Bought more wrapping paper without glitter but got home and one of my tree decorations from primark had covered everything in glitter.

All I have left to buy is a 3d blue ray for my DF, I buy him one every year but I have to be careful not to get him one he already has. What new releases are there available in 3d?

RJnomore1 · 03/12/2018 14:34

Just to say the sanctuary scrub is meant to be soaked off in a bath if it's the one that's salts in a tub and it is oily. I love it though.

MadeOfPaper · 03/12/2018 15:10

I've just managed to get the Tinc advent calendar for £5 from Morrison's, they had plenty in stock where I am. Might be helpful to someone stocking up for next year!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 03/12/2018 15:11

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny thank you so much! I needed something extra for DM who loves beach huts and I’ve found some perfect gifts on Yoshi! Many thanks!!

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 03/12/2018 15:33

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece glad it's helped someone Smile

I thought the prices were really good for what looks like good quality items .....and with free P&P , well you can't go wrong!

Jammiebammie · 03/12/2018 15:39

ohrex that’s exactly what happened to me, I was getting emails saying something was in my basket.
They’ve just sent me an email with a 50% off code and a £10 voucher, but I’m not happy ordering again and I really need to check this money goes back into my account, the lady wouldn’t get a manager to speak to me either, and it took forever to get through. Sounds like they’ve got a lot of people trying to call just now, I hope the same hasn’t happened to your order.

ohtheholidays · 03/12/2018 15:43

Reastie thankyou so much for sharing how to do the clicky links.I could never do them before and since I suffered brain damage I find it harder to follow instructions but I got yours on my first try Flowers

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 03/12/2018 15:53

Ohhhh, what is the look fantastic first box for a pound deal? Did I miss that? Where do I find it?
My birchboxes just arrived. Ended up with a double from the last offer they did but it's fine.

NotReve · 03/12/2018 16:07

This is the opposite of a bargain so apologies if I shouldn’t post here but I saw it advertised on Facebook today and thought they were a cool idea.

I’ve seen a few people ask how to present tickets etc. as a gift, Not On the High Street do these scratch off cards which reveal the present underneath. Thought they looked quite a nice way to give something like tickets or experiences Smile. May be cheaper elsewhere!

Catanddogmake6 · 03/12/2018 16:14

I was wondering if I could pick your brains. I need an idea for a woman in her thirties who is into gym and fitness. £50 budget. Never met her - she just has misfortune to work for DH.

BluthsFrozenBananas · 03/12/2018 16:19

You can make your own scratch offs, I’ve never done it but I’ve read tutorials and it looks quite easy. You just need white wax crayon, acrylic paint and washing up liquid.

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 03/12/2018 16:20

@linetta1 the Sanctuary salt scrub is amazing - really lovely smelling and lasts ages. I have put it on my Christmas list as my jar is nearly empty!

trixymalixy · 03/12/2018 16:23

@Catanddogmake6 i would get her something from sweaty betty.

rubyred38 · 03/12/2018 16:29

And this hotel chocolat gift hamper looks great I had a similar one bought for me last year from a friend

Elphaba17 · 03/12/2018 16:31

catanddogmake6 what about the hygge bands mentioned earlier in the thread along with a gift voucher?

TheHammaconda · 03/12/2018 16:34

Not sure whether this is really a bargain...

The Fortnum and Mason Iberian Explorer Wine Selection is £90 for 12 bottles of wine (so £7.50 each) but the contents sell for a total of `£203.80.

I had assumed that they were small bottles but I asked customer services on live chat and they confirmed they were full sized bottles. I'm going to split the contents between DH and DF.
