Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

Thanks floored. Ordered x3 12 days of beauty through Quidco for £30. What a find !! I'm gonna take them out and put all together as 3 gifts!!

recklessgran · 04/12/2018 09:12

Please can anyone recommend a wine book of some sort? Don't want to pay too much as just a stocking filler but DD [26] seems to be getting sophisticated and was busy telling her siblings about wine - how to choose and how to appreciate the bouquet etc at the dinner table last weekend. We only drink Malbec, Rioja or Shiraz here and are ignorant about such matters to say the least. Help! Feeling inadequate.....[Light hearted.]

hohosnow · 04/12/2018 09:22

today's offer from campus gifts

20% off Ted Baker, Cath Kidston, Disaster Designs and Gorjuss

Drummingisfun · 04/12/2018 09:28

@recklessgran no idea about a book buy you could just buy her a nice bottle instead Grin

Or maybe a wine tasting experience type thing?

PunkAssMoFo · 04/12/2018 09:29

Thanks floored.
You can also get 5% off the 12 days calendars with code 5%HB. Not much, but takes it down to £28.50.

maybeitsbecauseim · 04/12/2018 09:34

£5 off £30 Lakeland code if anyone can use.

I think someone mentioned cheap light boxes a couple of threads back (the kind where you can put words on). Does anyone remember where they were from? Or can anyone recommend one?

@drummingisfun thanks that's a really good idea - will look into that now.

totallyLosingIt · 04/12/2018 09:51

@recklessgran My sister is also a wine aficionado, and I regularly hear her talking about how wonderful Riedel wine glasses are. They do them for white wine or red wine (a glass is a glass to me 🤷🏼‍♀️). IIRC she was thrilled to find them at a 'bargain price' in HomeSense not too long ago if you've got one near you. Just another idea to throw in the pot!

MooseyMoo · 04/12/2018 10:00

Qwertee have Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff designs today. If you've not ordered from them before, you should get a pop up window with info to get 20% off first order. It's a unique code and has to be used within 24hrs

fairiesandelves · 04/12/2018 10:11

Just been into Holland Barrett 12 days calendar still scanning full price at £35 each !!! Manager getting his online lol!!

Wenchelda · 04/12/2018 10:30

Help! 8yr old DS who is questioning the reality of Santa has asked for a Lego train ... I really want to get him one to help him keep believing but can't really afford to spend more than £35. This is impossible, no? I'm happy to get second hand if it's still boxed / good condition but there currently Nothing local on Facebook marketplace or eBay. I know if anyone can help it's you amazing bargain hunters!

wheresmyliveship · 04/12/2018 10:31

@recklessgran how about this: [https://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?productId=931308&catalogId=10051&searchTerm=wine wine book]

Link fail!

akmum18 · 04/12/2018 10:49

How likely is something from China going to arrive in time for Christmas? - eBay sellers registered as from London but actually from China 😭

Rockhopper81 · 04/12/2018 10:54

I’m not an amazing bargain hunter, but I’m a Lego fan Wenchelda - honestly, you’d have to be incredibly lucky to find a used, in good boxed condition, Lego train for £35. It’s the kind of thing that just gains value unfortunately, the trains are good investments.

Does it have to be a ‘full sized’ (for Lego) train? There are smaller decoration sized ones available, or the creator model, but they obviously don’t come with minifigures.

There are these Lego trains on eBay. I have no idea what the normal price is, so could be a rip off for all I know.

Rockhopper81 · 04/12/2018 11:10

@Wenchelda

I had a quick look on eBay - I found these two which are under £20 at the moment, but they both have at least a week to go, so they’re unlikely to stay that low. As I say, unfortunately trains are something that really hold their value in Lego.

Does anyone have a code for free delivery from Very? Got a good deal on the last thing I need but don’t really want to pay 3.99 delivery! (Not giving me an option to click and collect).

Wenchelda · 04/12/2018 11:27

@Rockhopper81 @PunkAssMoFo

Thanks for looking - I had seen those decoration type Lego trains for within budget but can't decide whether ds would be happy with those or if he'd be upset that it's not a real moving train (I suspect the latter)

Rockhopper I had a feeling I was asking the impossible to get a moving Lego train for that price - thanks for confirming. DH would happily spend a fortune buying him alone but it goes against all my bargain hunting principles to just pay full price for something (and blow the entire present budget in the process) though I'm sure DS would love it.

Hmm Hmm guess we will have to ponder this one a bit more!

PamelaPatricia · 04/12/2018 11:34

Does anyone have a code for free delivery from Boden, but with no minimum spend? I can find 25% off childrenswear with free delivery over £30 (code J5N5 - conditions and exclusions listed on website) but I'm looking to spend less than £20.

Alternatively, if anyone has a spare voucher for £10 off £30 spend I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

PunkAssMoFo · 04/12/2018 11:41

Pamela try 6T2C for Boden free delivery.

PamelaPatricia · 04/12/2018 11:47

Thank you @PunkAssMoFo

I tried that earlier without success but it's just worked. Thank you very much.

Fuckingfuckssake · 04/12/2018 12:04

Asking very nicely if anyone has a Boden £10 off they won't use? I'd love some Christmas pyjamas for my little One.

shumway · 04/12/2018 12:12

The white company - 15% off full price items plus free UK delivery. Code AT672.

JellycatElfie · 04/12/2018 12:26

Can anyone help me find a wooden nativity set for under or around £20 please? Or any form of toy one. Must include 3 kings! Thank you,
