Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

I had a White Company £10 voucher mid Nov which I bought a £12 Winter candle with. Surprised I got one as I’ve not bought anything from them for years.

My dd2 has asked for two things, neither of which I can get. One was a Ken doll but ‘with hair’ as she doesn’t like the dolls with the stiff plastic hair. I know they used to make ken dolls with hair years ago but I can’t find any at all, they all have that plastic moulded hair which she doesn’t like. She’s adamant that Santa and the elves will find a way to make a Ken doll with hair lol. So if anyone comes across one I would be so grateful if you’d let me know.
The other thing was the Skipper doll with a pram and it’s sold out everywhere so again, if anyone spots one on their travels I would be so grateful if you could let me know. Actually any bargainous Barbie stuff would be great.
Also need to buy for dad and fil, has to be smellies really as I bought the Elemis/Birchbox stuff for my mum and mil and I usually get them matchy kind of things.

@WaitWhatOh I think there is such a thing called a 'fitbark'. Pretty sure one of my friends has one for each of her dogs and loves seeing how many steps they've taken

I'm also looking for nerf laser guns. Best price i can find is £29.99 for the two pack. Annoyingly they went down to £17 on Amazon in November, but I didn't know I needed them then. If anyone sees a bargain please let me know!!

@ewock I have a google mini not a dot but I’m sure same principle. I don’t have any “big” version, just the mini (well, two now in different rooms!) For asking questions, hearing news/weather/jokes you won’t need anything else. I listen to the radio all the time through it. Also listen to music but that’s with a Spotify subscription. I think it would be amazon music for you, not sure if the cost. To make it do lights etc you need to buy the plug sockets.

Any ideas for a small gift for dd's host parents, a middle aged/semi retired couple. They like walking, have cats, I know they drink. Live quite rurally but close to a rather upmarket city.

@trixymalixy do you know if they all link together the nerf laser guns? It looked like they did on the show last night but I can't find any info online

NewDayBlankPage if you search "vintage ken doll" on eBay there are some with real hair. Mostly 1960s ones! You could get him some new clothes and put him in a gift box?

@BeauticianNotMagician81 yes I think so, it says online you link them up via a smartphone app so presumably can then add as many as needed

Newday B&M had those Skipper dolls with pram last week.

A while ago Amazon had fingerlings for £9.99 and I ignored it. Now both DD have decided they want one. Anyone seen them cheaper that the £14.99 they seem to be. I am reluctant to pay that for a bit of plastic I know they will immediately lose interest in.

I’ve seen today that Next are stocking some Hotel Chocolat lines so although the prices are the same, it might be easier to do click and collect with Next which is free and save the delivery cost.

@newdayblankpage smyths near me have loads of the skipper dolls.

starry the amazon ones are sadly usually fake. I think £14.99 is about the cheapest.

Alexander - when you say host parents do you mean they live miles away from you?

If so, I’d suggest a local hamper from your area. We have a local farm shop that makes up hampers with local produce.
