When do you put up your decorations?

I am sat here just itching to put mine up! I probably would of already if I didn't have a dog and small child sprawled across me effectively restraining me from the oh so tempting call of the twinkly lights! 😁

Where does everybody else stand on this? Are yours up already or are you waiting?

First weekend of December. A few little bits and bobs went on display yesterday and the outside lights went on yesterday but this is only because I didn't want them loitering in our hallway (DH had to get the Xmas stuff from his rented work garage & wouldn't have chance to do it next weekend) Like PP I get it up early as soon as Boxing Day is out of the way I think it loses it's charm so usually gets taken down 27th/28th Dec.

About the 14th and keep them up until 12th night.
Each to their own but I never understand why people put them up early and take them down Boxing day. Surely it's still Christmas time for a few days?

First weekend in December for us, my birthday is the 10th & always like to have the tree up before it! Usually take everything down first week in January before we go back to work.

I seem the same as most here, get them down before New Year as Christmas is over then and a chance to get everything cleaned up before the New Year and starting work again.

I caved! I'm not even sorry! 😁

The storm weather has battered my outdoor decorations, I am feeling less smug in my decision to put them up early!
