I searched but can't see a thread on this.
DH is very unimaginative (and well to be honest giving him free reign often goes badly wrong!) so every year demands a list. And every year I struggle to think of what to put on it. Typical as any other time of year I could probably think of loads of things!
So give me some inspiration please - what's top of your wish list this year? What lovely things are you secretly coveting?
Thank you

I’ve chosen some lovely thick socks from Joules and some Nuxe oil. I usually supply dh with a list of items I’d like and he usually gets me a couple of surprises.

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 20/11/2018 19:52

A house and car. Noone will be buying me them though. I'm so boring, we need a stick blender so I guess one of them, a donut maker so we could make donuts on a weekend and some micron and soufle pens.
Other than that I need nothing. I would love some cash to put towards another tattoo. But I will be happy with anything I get. I'm easily pleased.

Pinkyyy · 20/11/2018 19:53

Here are some ideas, any of which I'd be happy to receive:
-tickets to a show
-new watch
-nice boots or coat for winter
-jewellery
-baking stuff (or stuff relevant to your hobby)
-designer scarf
-nice luggage (if you go on holidays or want to use it ad an excuse to go on one )
-kindle

twoundertwo54321 · 20/11/2018 19:53

I want a sonas speaker for the lounge and some nice bath stuff.

m0therofdragons · 20/11/2018 19:55

Alexa got downstairs
Pink tickets - Dh has got me these do not a surprise but still awesome
Cord skirt
Necklace and earrings I saw online with sparkly snowflakes
Makeup - No7
Makeup case - all 3 dc have these and I'm using an old box Blush

Alonglongnight · 20/11/2018 20:03

I also have to give my dh a list! He can then ‘surprise’ me with a few things from it!

This is my list:
Hope necklace from Links
Stackers petite travel jewellery box
Turtle doves fingerless cashmere gloves
A New York Times travel guide to cities and towns
A new black belt
A bag and a purse from all saints that I’m sure I won’t be getting but included anyway!
Khadi Viola face and body oil
Cashmere socks
Hotel chocolat velvetiser

I don’t know which ones I’ll be getting from the list but love them all.

LikeSilver · 20/11/2018 20:09

I would really love Robyn tickets and a really warm coat but that won’t happen (we’re not quite flat broke but the money we do have goes on the kids) so my list is fluffy pajamas and Haribo giant strawberries Grin

Deminism · 20/11/2018 20:17

I would like:
Hotel Chocolat Marzipan selection
Molten Brown bubble bath
Sharp knives for kitchen
That's it really.

FantailsFly · 20/11/2018 20:20

My list is The Original retinol cream, a nice handbag sized handcream, and since I don't use cash anymore, one of those cardholder wallets. Sometimes I take one for the team and ask for something the house needs (like PP's stick blender). Ooh, also saw a nice necklace in the Guardian gift guide (love love love the gift guides!)

PersonaNonGarter · 20/11/2018 20:41

Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath Oil
Isabella’s Preserves Hot Banana Chutney (amazing with cold potatoes/cold meat)
Christophe Robine Hair Mask
Cashmere bed socks
Book about Cheese

Zampa · 20/11/2018 20:45

My list is pretty average, I think ...

Decent slippers
A quirky gin
The new Mick Herron book
Socks from & Other Stories

I have also asked for silver Chelsea boots and a £2K Acne jacket but they're totally not happening!

theworldistoosmall · 20/11/2018 20:50

Any ps4 game from a list of a few or scented candles.
That's it really.

bluechameleon · 20/11/2018 20:51

Happy socks, Emma Bridgewater mug, Fluff lunch bag. Following thread for more ideas!

BumbleBeee69 · 20/11/2018 20:56

I want one of those Dyson Hair Dryers, does anyone have one, is it as quiet as they say? Hmm

Sunhill4 · 20/11/2018 20:58

I never make a list and I'm sure he suffers but he does only have to buy for me while I buy for everybody else. I would like:
A new charm for my Pandora bracelet
Prosecco
Jelly beans
Large tub of cheeselets
Christmassy novel
My 3 children and their partners all home for the big day.

missyB1 · 20/11/2018 21:00

A rose gold necklace
A Joules scarf
A handbag from fat face.
Oh and a large Toblerone Grin

nickelbeingnormal · 20/11/2018 21:02

I want a shed.

It's unlikely though, unless we win some money! Grin

theredjellybean · 20/11/2018 21:05

I got a Dyson from dp last Christmas. Completely surprised.. I absolutely love it. Its quiet but not that quiet. But blow dries hair beautifully and quickly and makes a noise like a light sabre when you turn it on and off which is a bonus

itsbritneybiatches · 20/11/2018 21:07

Sheepskin slippers
Links of London jewellery
Barbour coat
Chocolate
Hollywood slimming leggings from jml
Perfume

Soubriquet · 20/11/2018 21:08

I’m going to look like I’ve got a lot of money here but I really really don’t

I wanted a new phone, a laptop and a Nintendo switch....with let’s go eevee GrinGrin

I got the phone 3 months ago and the laptop and switch today. They are early Christmas presents and currently being used

MiniMileyMoo · 20/11/2018 21:13

White Company 'Winter' candle
New Jersey Pyjamas
Leather jacket
Joules waterproof coat
Zara down coat
Amazon Fire Stick
Perfume
A print from Wonder and Rah
Bath bombs
Winter scene Emma Bridgewater mug
This is Going to Hurt book
Thin leather belt

Time40 · 20/11/2018 21:13

An enormous house.
A swimming pool.
A Victorian carousel (full size)
... um, I can't actually think of anything that's possible. Maybe a pair of fabulous crowns for the ravens (search MN for ravens if confused!)

LewisMam · 20/11/2018 21:13

I have a few books and bottles of spirits on my wish list. Not because I particularly want them, but because if I don’t make a list people will buy me random tat.

What I’d REALLY like is some toys for DC that I can’t afford to buy myself. I’d get much more joy from watching DC play with these toys (and playing with my DC) than I will ever get from any gift that’s directly for me.

Unfortunately DH got into the habit of buying me jewellery from Links of London (several years ago, before we had DC and before Links went all high street). It’s a battle to prevent him buying it nowadays. He doesn’t understand why Links is no longer desirable and thinks I’m just saying I don’t want it even though really I do.

Casablanca78 · 20/11/2018 21:43

Ah some fab ideas here, thanks so much.
Please do keep them coming!
@FantailsFly is the Guardian gift guide online at all, have had a quick search and can't find it (and sounds good!). Thank you
