Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Anyone knowledgeable about Nintendo Switch, I've seen the console with mario kart and just dance for £299 but no idea if that's a decent price.
TIA

QOD · 17/11/2018 14:55

Thank you so much the Jimmy Choo help. Under £30 and free delivery 👌🏼
It’s the one just called Jimmy choo she likes

gaggiagirl · 17/11/2018 14:55

I've just ordered a kg of m&ms for less. Than £5 at Amazon. I was thinking of wrapping them up along with the popcorn maker, popcorn, straws, spoons and peanut butter for a treat hamper for all my 3dc for Xmas day.
It'll be in a big box. And they are all small enough to find things like that amazing. Next year I'm sure they will want a games console!

Batbear · 17/11/2018 14:57

Google home mini's are reduced by £20 everywhere now so down to £30.

We've got one in our kitchen and are great if you don't have Alexa etc.

I've got one with a spotify subscription for my folks for xmas and the kids are getting one for their room to listen to the greatest showman on repeat

Duckswaddle · 17/11/2018 15:00

Annoyed that I missed the £36 poopsie unicorn thing, but hoping they drop again shortly!!

Zeusette · 17/11/2018 15:08

Has anyone got a spare student beans code for peacocks that they won't be using that I could have? My niece has seen a bag she would like but it's a bit out of budget and I can't get code VCNOV18 to work.

AnonymousName · 17/11/2018 15:13

@Zeusette I think I just PMed you a code, but I couldn't work out how to do it through the app so had to load the mobile page which I don't usually use! Let me know if you don't have it & I'll try again Smile

TheOwlandMe · 17/11/2018 15:16

@loki I get you know. My two are younger (youngest 2 as well!) so imagine will feel quite sad when they growing too Sad but it’s great she’s such a keen reader and she will love the kindle. Load with with some of her favourite books. How about putting in a massive box with a giant unicorn/llama/bear is she’d appreciate those? Would make it too see “big” like her sister’s kitchen.

No sure if mentioned as think deal being on a long time...anyone with British Gas on reward they offerings Hive Active Heating for £125 including installation. I believe this is a good deal and best out there even with Hive’s Black Friday deals. They also give you a free 2nd gen Dot. Know they reduced to £19 so not asuch of an offer as when deal started but it’s free so I’m happy....now of to figure out what the hell a DOT actually is and what’s i can use it for!

TheOwlandMe · 17/11/2018 15:17

Excuse all my typos Blush

Catanddogmake6 · 17/11/2018 16:15

@thatlittlebellwentBOING have you thought about buying an iron on patch with Christmas theme and just ironing on to the sling? Or alternatively buying cheap Christmas fabric and you can make that into a sling? If you cut with pinking shears you probably wouldnt even have to edge. If you are happy to spend money there is a great site on Etsy that makes children’s slings in all sorts of characterful fabric. They might make a Christmas one.

Catanddogmake6 · 17/11/2018 16:18

@ThatlittlebellwentBOING here is the Christmas sling. It’s from Ireland but came quickly when I ordered for DN

Tiggles · 17/11/2018 16:31

Oooh @loki if it's for a 7yr old how about popping to Dunelm. They have massive pillows that 'hug' you for £10. I was looking at getting one for my voracious reader to cuddle up in.

Tiggles · 17/11/2018 16:34

They had these ones at 20 but some smaller ones in store too

Jammiebammie · 17/11/2018 16:40

Theres a fortnite deep freeze set down to £19.99 on amazon (you get a limited edition outfit and a tenners worth of vbucks) does anyone know if this is a good deal or should I hold out for cheaper? I know it’s just out and was £25, but fortnite is over my head as it’s for my dn!

Restlessinthenorth · 17/11/2018 16:47

My beer52 box came. Incredible value and lovely products

Wiifitmama · 17/11/2018 16:53

Thanks to the poster who suggested wordery for the book I was after (Persiana) but it is just as expensive as Amazon unfortunately! I may just have to pay it - it is for DH.

I am also looking for a deal on a good set of bluetooth (branded good quality) headphones for ds1 if anyone comes across any!

Teabird · 17/11/2018 16:55

@Duckswaddle, Can I ask where the unicorn poopsie deal was? Thanks very much.

FireflyGirl · 17/11/2018 17:27

BuySubscriotions have got the Radio Times offer on - 10 issues for £1, including the Christmas edition. You need to use code FB17B.

FireflyGirl · 17/11/2018 17:29

North West, Yorkshire, North East edition only, apparently Hmm

TheDrsDocMartens · 17/11/2018 17:35

Ooh dot & plug....

Are they connected to the buyers account like kindles are or can you re connect them to a different account?
Thinking of my teens who have their own accounts

lookingforbaubles · 17/11/2018 17:41

tick the 'this is a gift do not link to my account' box when buying the dot so it doesnt come automatically connected to your account - some think i forgot to do!

Whatsmymethod · 17/11/2018 17:50

WH Smith's have the 'Wordsearch' game for £13.99 down from £27.99.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/11/2018 17:54

@FireflyGirl, I had the choice of region. I'm glad this came up again as the Christmas one is about £4 on its own!

NotPennysBoat · 17/11/2018 18:00

@FireflyGirl is it easy enough to cancel the RT subscription without paying any more?
