Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@yeknom, the mi band is good. Cheap, but does everything it needs to. I'm sure I bout DH one on black Friday for about £13 a couple years ago. My one was about £11 full price.
DH one has a screen to show time, steps and various other bits. Connects to phone via the app. Battery life is amazing, about a month in between charges. It's very simple to use, as is the app, even my mum who isn't very tech savie manages to use it.
It's straps are changeable.

I’ve ordered the jimmy choo aftershave off amazon, didn’t want to risk it going back up in price!

SweetPeaPods · 20/11/2018 19:54

TimeForMy10thCuppa I was looking at a few in John Lewis for dh. The Barbour ones are lovely but pricey!

RemyRelax · 20/11/2018 19:55

Just had an email that Great Little Trading Company have started their Black Friday sale today with up to 40% off. It’s fairly expensive anyway but if there is something specific you’re wanting.

Coldilox · 20/11/2018 19:56

So today DW and I managed to figure out that we’d both bought each other Michelle Obama’s autobiography as a present.

FFS.

KitKatCHA · 20/11/2018 19:56

DeezMutts · 20/11/2018 20:30

That’s a great deal @Casablanca78. I’m v tempted but I’ve no need to buy it at all!

Hedgyhoggy · 20/11/2018 20:31

Any bargain Lego sets/classic boxes to suits niece age 4 & 7? About £15 per child but looking more expensive. TIA

linetta1 · 20/11/2018 20:31

NotReve · 20/11/2018 20:31

Roald... autocorrect!

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 20/11/2018 20:43

Thank again for the suggestions. Mil text me while I was out to say she had found one for him. Will have another look at the recommendations above and hope I can find another. Thanks again.

Does anyone know if places like JD ever do codes? Dh has seen a pair of trainers he likes but they are £100 and Ds needs a new pair, because despite me asking him not to, he insists on growing.

caffeinated · 20/11/2018 21:15

Timeformy10th what brand are they because the Adidas website have 25% off with BF18, doesn’t work with already reduced things, the trainers my son wanted were already 30% off.

Personwithnoname · 20/11/2018 21:16

Original factory shop are doing 2 m&s jumpers for a tenner. Not woolovers but better than a punch in the face.

Notlongnow1 · 20/11/2018 21:23

@TimeForMy10thCuppa La Redoute have 40% off if the ones they like are on there - my mum got some new reeboks there yesterday 👍🏻

Notlongnow1 · 20/11/2018 21:26

Anyone seen any good quality but bargainous yoga mats?

gaggiagirl · 20/11/2018 21:28

coldilox I think that's very sweet! Will you return one and take turns reading it? I think it'll be lovely reading along together... Like watching TV together but not.

Personwithnoname · 20/11/2018 21:28

And I collected my free wh Smith Christmas cards from 02 priority

Hopskipjumping · 20/11/2018 21:32

I have been converted. Bought 3 boxes of Green and Blacks. Kept one for myself as I love chocolate. Oh my goodness, I have absolutely loved every single one of the chocolates.

I had my previous favourite tonight, a twirl and it just didn't taste right at all. Surely my tastebuds havnt became accustomed to great chocolate and refusing any others in the space of a week! My bank balance won't be able to handle it Shock

Mumumumu · 20/11/2018 21:39

Anyone know of any bargainous Harry Potter edible gifts such as chocolate frogs and Bertie botts beans and slugs?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 20/11/2018 21:47

They are Nike air Max. The ones he loves are the summer sea in pink and green.
I was sure it was the JD website I saw them. But I can't find them now. I think I need to stop shopping today. I seem to be getting it all wrong.

Monthly tee club are doing a black Friday deal for new customers. 99p instead of £9.99 for a t shirt. Seems a good deal to me. From the 23rd. Code if blackfriday.

Methenyouplus4 · 20/11/2018 21:50

Bit of a desperate plea, I need a gift for a soon to be 4 year old boy, ideally more of a keep sake type thing rather than a toy (but getting desperate so a toy would work too)?

I want to spend £10-£15 but have something that looks a lot more (playmobil arena would be great but they already have it).

Just to complicate matters, it must arrive by Saturday evening. I have prime and coukd click/collect from big stores e.g. John Lewis, Smyths etc.

totallyLosingIt · 20/11/2018 21:51

I wish Tesco would stop doing the G&B offer now. It's been weeks. At this rate come Christmas I won't be thought of as one of the generous parents at the school and instead be 'one of many who made the most of the Tesco deal'.
