Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

My G&B arrived today, does anyone else’s have white flecks on the brightly coloured parts of the box? Is it part of the pattern?

JDSTER · 16/11/2018 21:20

Yes my G&B boxes are the same, with the flecks. I know what you mean

Hopskipjumping · 16/11/2018 21:22

Yes I thought the box was damaged but think its part of the pattern

theclockticksslowly · 16/11/2018 21:23

@Wellfuckmeinbothears yes my G&B has the white flecks. To me it doesn’t seem like a design feature - makes it look a bit worn! Undecided whether to give it as a gift like it was intended. Amazon haven’t replied to my message querying the condition of it.

Someaddedsugar · 16/11/2018 21:32

Is there a deal on red letter days that I’ve missed?

A PP queried the difference between the Fire 7 and the 7 kids - from research they appear to be the same but you get a better warranty with the kids one, and it’s already set up as a kid-friendly tablet. It may also come with a Prime kids subscription.

Tailrunner · 16/11/2018 21:34

If you zoom in to the pictures of the Green and Black's boxes on the Tesco or Sainsbury's websites they seem to have the same white flecks so I think it must be the design.

AtSea1979 · 16/11/2018 21:38

@Someaddedsugar if you put DEAL15 in you get £15 off and there’s lots of good deals like the family days out and meal for 2 at Prezzo

NotPennysBoat · 16/11/2018 21:42

What's the expiry on the Red Letter Days code does anyone know?

LikeSilver · 16/11/2018 21:43

We also have the Waitrose kids shopping trolley and it’s great, ours has withstood plenty of bashing from DD and DS over the years. I was going to recommend it but I looked and it’s £28 in JL so doesn’t fit the under £30 with a till proviso!

theclockticksslowly · 16/11/2018 21:46

Thanks @Tailrunner - I guess I will gift the G&B after all rather than eat them myself

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 16/11/2018 21:50

Thank you for the trolley suggestion! I’ll see if I can stretch my budget a bit!

FYI, I have green and black chicks from both Tesco and amazon and they all have white flecks on

sepsisandAKI · 16/11/2018 21:55

I’m pleased to have made a thread title (well for the amazon chocs anyway!) although I had to delete my post as some kind person messaged me to say the pic I posted of the crocs had my name and postcode!

ThatlittlebellwentBOING · 16/11/2018 21:56

⛄️ checking in

totallyLosingIt · 16/11/2018 22:06

@Pebblesandfriends Yes, I am very much champing at the bit to get shopping for Christmas, but need to wait for payday (which, coincidently is on Black Friday).
Need to try to budget better next month! I seem to have been spending £50 here £30 there on things and suddenly my account is looking a bit low.

yumyumpoppycat · 16/11/2018 22:06

amazon have some barbie, enchantimals and sylvanians in their daily deals at the mo, sorry if already mentioned on last thread

barbie, sylvanians, enchantimals

nickdrakeslovechild · 16/11/2018 22:21

Can anyone remember from last year or knows what the price this year will drop to on the kindle fire 8" or 10" is please? Only the 7" seems to have reduced so far.

SparklingXmas · 16/11/2018 22:22

On both red letter day vouchers it says expiry 16.9.19

Drummingisfun · 16/11/2018 22:24

Placemarking, thanks Reastie

loveliesbleeding1 · 16/11/2018 22:26

Hey peeps 🎅🏻

LavateLasManos · 16/11/2018 22:27

Jemima huge apologies for saying I'd give you the code but I've just reread the thread and seen that student asked first so I'm going to forward it to them. Sorry!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 16/11/2018 22:32

a reminder to check www.wordery.com for any books you need to buy

it's free delivery (like amazon used to be), and often cheaper than Amazon

starryeyedsnowgirl · 16/11/2018 22:50

I just robbed Sainsbury's'. At least it felt like it. What fun. I used £40 of nectar points and bought £80 of booze. I looked like quite the drinker, though as I will be nine months pregnant at Christmas I had to buy myself ice cream to make up for the fact I can't drink any of it. (Did get the odd disapproving look in the drinks aisle with my bump).

nickdrakeslovechild · 16/11/2018 22:52

jemima I have a code if you pm me.

bluestripedtop · 16/11/2018 22:55

Sorry, have I missed a link to chocolates?

gaggiagirl · 16/11/2018 22:55

@wellfuckmeinbothears I give you magpie their sale section is outstanding. Thanks to this thread I got items with about 90% off. Well worth checking from time to time.
