Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Asda pyjamas usually fare pretty well, I’ve seen some that are not cuffed recently, with slogans on but not kiddish.
Alternatively could you try small men’s pjs?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 20/11/2018 14:27

Thank you all for the suggestions on hats. Showed them too him and apparently they are all almost what he wants but not quite right, so he said he will look and find one for me. I've decided he is getting a lump of coal for being such a pain. I have decided to order myself the eBay one though, never have too many hats.

@hoopdeloop We also have a Scooby Doo obsessed DS! Most presents for the past year have been on this theme. He has loved:

Mystery machine which opens up into slime factory (although the slime is a bit of a nightmare!)
Haunted mansion playset
Various Scooby Doo plush toys
A hide and seek Scooby Doo (not sure if this is still sold anywhere)
Scooby Doo pyjamas
Scooby Doo costume
Personalised Scooby Doo keyring (great stocking filler - eBay I think)

This year we have got him:
Scooby Doo rucksack from character.com
Stretch Scooby Doo (think this was from Argos)
Scooby Doo Encylopedia (Amazon)
Scooby Doo jigsaws

I also found him one of those walking Scooby Doo balloons (Amazon again, I think) which will be a bit of fun.

FogCutter · 20/11/2018 14:59

DeezMutz thank you, those Next PJs are exactly what I’m after, have ordered them! 👌

thaegumathteth · 20/11/2018 15:07

Thanks for the barbie camper van tip off. Have bought one for dd .

Amazon have massively pissed me off. I pre ordered the Harry Potter advent calendar ages ago. They’ve messaged today to say theyre out of stock and trying to source one. If it doesn’t come in time ds will be gutted.

Someaddedsugar · 20/11/2018 15:14

@thaegumathteth it might not be the same but our local Asda (Durham) had a Harry Potter advent calendar when I was in there last week if that helps?

thaegumathteth · 20/11/2018 15:22

Thanks it was a funko pop one

Maranello · 20/11/2018 15:23

@thaegumathteth I had the same email from Amazon - the Funko Pop advent, right? It sounded suspiciously to me as if they never actually had any in stock.

I've just ordered another from the official Warner Brothers store, I'll try a link!

shop.warnerbros.co.uk/funko-pocket-pop-harry-potter-advent-calendar

It's more than Amazon was advertising it for but code WELCOME gets you 10% off and it's free delivery. I figure if this one arrives, I can just cancel the Amazon one.

(And yes, it's crazy money for an advent calendar!)

HoneyDragon · 20/11/2018 15:40

You guys are better than me I can’t order else where as Amazon said they’d dispatched mine and took the money then switched it to pending Angry They are currently “investigating” as they maintain they’ve not taken payment despite my account clearly showing they have.

I’m furious.

Maranello · 20/11/2018 15:43

Ah no, that's not on at all. Either it's dispatched or it hasn't, they must know! I'd be cross too.

For anyone shopping off-line, according to Twitter, Forbidden Planet stores apparently have them too for £39.99! I'm not going to seek that out as WB are telling people (also on Twitter) that they have the calendars in stock and are shipping them right now.

Amazon has messed this one up.

SymphonyofShadows · 20/11/2018 15:44

Thanks for the AO Ebay link Kitkat I was after an Xbox for oldest DS so I've ordered from there. I've just got a PS4 to go, but I'm hoping Currys or Amazon reduce their bundles on Friday.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 20/11/2018 15:49
