Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Birch box is very easy to cancel. Their black Friday offer is absolutely amazing. I'm guessing it's for new customers only though. I would love those boxes for myself.

gaggiagirl · 20/11/2018 09:18

Free returns with Amazon normally I'min

Elphaba17 · 20/11/2018 09:23

I returned a lego set last week as they wouldn't refund the price difference when it got reduced and was charged 3.99 for return postage.

jobbymcginty · 20/11/2018 09:25

The kindle kid 7 is £59.99 at curry pc world not sure if that's a bargain or not

RemyRelax · 20/11/2018 09:46

@hicketypickety I’ve just sent you a code Smile

Bez33 · 20/11/2018 09:46

Elemis website - 2 x free FULL SIZE samples today, plus a sample-sized product (choice of 4), plus free standard delivery, with any order. I bought a cracker for £15 - one of the cheapest items - so pretty chuffed with this deal! Code Black4 at checkout.

FallenSky · 20/11/2018 10:01

Just got off live chat with Amazon. Bought the Barbie camper van a few weeks ago, official price was £58 but I technically only paid £53 because I had an extra £5 gift card top up. Anyway, thought I'd try my luck as the price has dropped today but no joy in getting the difference refunded. Fair enough. Except they were happy to create a free returns label for me to return and reorder. How wasteful! Surely it costs more for them to pay the return postage of a large item, process that return, refund the money then process the new order and get it delivered to me?

30%% Winter warmers at Frugi

totallyLosingIt · 20/11/2018 10:04

@bangwhistlepop I had my confirmation email through for my Radio Times subscription today and it says in the email that you can cancel at any time. Once I've got the Christmas issue I will be cancelling!

RemyRelax · 20/11/2018 10:04

@FallenSky it does seem very silly doesn’t it. I think they do it because they hope some people won’t want the hassle of sending it back so they’ll just leave it. But not good customer service.

caffeineanddryshampoo · 20/11/2018 10:08

I need a waste paper bin and a beanbag for a 9 year old if anyone has seen any cool or baragainous ones? Thanks.

lahlah11 · 20/11/2018 10:14

Jammiebammie · 20/11/2018 10:16

Could someone help with the Birchbox for me please?
It’s says 2 boxes for £5, but when I click ‘buy’ it only has one box in my basket at the cost of £7.95

shumway · 20/11/2018 10:17

Glossybox 40% off code STEPHGLOSSY.

NumberPerson · 20/11/2018 10:26

@FallenSky
I just contacted amazon about the same thing, and got the same answer.
They seem to have gotten very strict with this recently!
I did get a promotional credit for £5 for another order that went missing so feel like my time wasn't totally wasted Smile

MorelloKisses · 20/11/2018 10:42

jammi it’s £5 plus £2.95 postage

It looks a bit odd In the purchase summary though

Anyone any advice on when to cancel the Birchbox to ensure the 2 boxes arrive but no more?

makingmiracles · 20/11/2018 11:11

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 20/11/2018 11:34

Can anyone help me. DH has asked for a hat ( literally the only gift he has asked for, or even hinted at wanting ) but I can't find one anywhere.
It needs to be black, chunky knit slouchy and loose fitted ( so it doesn't squash his head) and it needs to have a bobble on the top.
Between mil and I we must have checked all the highstreet shops. If anyone can find one I would appreciate it. He is a pain to buy for and never wants anything.

IceLemonGin · 20/11/2018 11:38

@TimeForMy10thCuppa There's this cheap and cheerful one on ebay or I'm sure DH has a hat similar to your description from Barbour. Worth a look.

hmslfc · 20/11/2018 11:40

TimeForMy10thCuppa Have you tried The North Face? My OH has one from there which exactly matches those criteria!
