Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@ewok I’ve bought a few Lepin lego sets too and have been pleased with them. The mini figures arms fit slightly differently to regular lego but the blocks have always fitted together well

ILovePandas · 11/11/2018 17:28

Thanks for the WHSmith links, used the clearance and buy one get one free plus £5 off and free delivery for a good hoard of stocking fillers - just a heads up the £5 off code is SAVEFIVE rather than SAVE5

Drummingisfun · 11/11/2018 17:29

I've missed the tesco G+B thing, how much are they?

dementedma · 11/11/2018 17:31

notreve two Everton fans to buy for here so thanks for that!
Tescos in dundee had lots of Green and Blacks left today, also bog boxes of Bendicks Mints at half price. Son in law to be is now sorted with chocolates and a redued price book from the Book People.
Hotel Chocolat sent me a £5 off voucher by email which was nice of them so DD2 will get her salted caramel hamper.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I am almost done this year!!

Tmk42031 · 11/11/2018 17:41

@notreve love your user name! Thanks for the heads up about the effects store Smile

NotReve · 11/11/2018 17:51

I was in two minds whether or not to post about the Everton store as I didn’t think it would be of interest to many but glad I did!

This thread had been fab, got loads of bargains and so ahead of the shopping this year. Only annoying thing has been the Argos 3 for 2 - had 6 things in the basket and I’m sure they were all there when I paid as I checked the total but only 5 arrived. Checked the email and only 5 things ordered so I guess the missing one was out of stock. Means it cost more for 5 things than it would have for 6! My own fault really for not checking. Tempted to take 2 back and re-order with something else as the box of one was all bashed too.

PiggeryPorcombe · 11/11/2018 18:08

@Drummingisfun the Green and Blacks are £5.50, Tesco reckons half price but they’re currently £14 on Amazon. Green & Black's Organic Tasting Collection Boxed Chocolates, 395g www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00A48154S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_1.g6BbCXW7545?tag=mumsnetforum-21

@applepinkierainbow last Xmas I made a potion making kit for my DD who was also 6 (still obsessed with potion making) I went to Poundland and bought her loads of test tube shot glasses, a funnel, normal shot glasses, a big fish bowl thing for cocktails, a plastic jug, I bought some pipettes off eBay for really cheap, I found safety glasses somewhere and added those. Then I bought bicarb, the clear kind of vinegar and lots of food colouring plus different types of sprinkles and things like that. I spent about £10 and was much more impressive than the kits you can buy which never have much actual stuff in them. It was DD's fav present last year. You could also add your own labels to stuff to make it look more exciting.

EyeEyeCaptainCaptain · 11/11/2018 18:22

I can't remember who was looking for Mia and me outfits from the last thread but I've seen them on eBay for £7.99 if that helps.

Also long long time lurker, but first time poster. Thanks for all the bargains!

Drummingisfun · 11/11/2018 18:24

Oh, that would make good teacher presents. Might detour via a tesco tomorrow.
I still can't find the topcashback hot chocolate advent calendar thing.

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 11/11/2018 18:39

Asj0405 · 11/11/2018 19:55

@1moreRep Asda have the Lindor truffle balls 200g reduced from £5 to £3.50 and the 337g reduced from £8 to £5.50.
They also have the big bottles of Bailey's reduced from £20 to £12 but I think the supermarkets reduce them to £10 first week of December I get my husband a bottle every year.

whereareyousleep · 11/11/2018 20:03

Thanks to the pp for the information about Lepin
I've ordered my son two of the dinosaur sets as they were on sale and my sister one of the Hogwarts sets. Looking forward to them being delivered, fingers crossed it should be in time for Christmas.
