Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Has anyone seen any good deals on trees. I'm after a small one, maybe to go on a side table. Saw a lovely real looking tree in a pot in Sainsbury's but it was £22 and hoping to spend a little less. I have some mini baubles about the size of lindt chocolate so something that would work with them. Mum doesn't have a tree anymore because it's just her, but she will be on holiday around the 1st Dec so thought it would be a nice surprise to come back too. Thought I would pop a couple presents under the tree for her to open when she gets back, like PJ's and some chocolates, maybe a nice throw or something.

DS has asked for some onesies, to sleep in. He gets super sweaty at night so looking for something light. He is 7 and tall and he likes them quite slouchy so be looking at 8-9 or 9-10. I can't seem to find any. Bonus points if it's Pokémon.
Thanks in advance. And thanks to the pp who linked the diary. I have it on my shortlist.

Lovemusic33 · 16/11/2018 14:05

Time B&M have good prices on trees, I’m thinking of buying a 2nd tree (can’t have too many) and B&m seem to have some for not much money at all, also B&Q have some deals I think (saw on another site).

I just bought my nan some hand cream as I wasn’t sure what else I could get her, she’s always the hardest so ought the Cath Kidston handcream from Amazon. Just wrapped the dd’s Presents and there piles look tiny in comparison to last year but I have spent more. Just a few more bits to buy and I’m done.

MerryTwinkletoes · 16/11/2018 14:09

@TimeForMy10thCuppa I just got a great lightweight onesie (not character though I'm afraid) from H&M for DS8

totallyLosingIt · 16/11/2018 14:13

@TimeForMy10thCuppa What a lovely idea for your Mum! Have a look on the Asda site. They have quite a few small ones, 2ft/3ft/4ft, pre-lit and £5-£12.

janbaby14 · 16/11/2018 14:23

I think a previous poster was looking for a north face discount - Cotswold Outdoor have 20% off the North Face!

MsMiaWallace · 16/11/2018 14:32

Got my G&B chocs with Tesco delivery!!

PiggeryPorcombe · 16/11/2018 14:36

@TimeForMy10thCuppa Next do lovely lightweight cotton onesies for sleeping in but I’ve just looked and they’re only in the girls section Shock I’m genuinely surprised.

This leopard one might be ok but I guess that depends on your ds. Dd has had them and they’re really lovely quality.

Actually there is this one in the boys section but it’s £££.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/11/2018 14:43

Loads of G&B in Tesco today. I should've waited and got them today, but it was an unscheduled trip due to an utter fail in town!

Selection boxes are half price too. I managed to get some free from chocolate coins and Santa lollies too as the DC can't tolerate massive amounts of milk (one lactose and one cows' milk intolerant).

Loads of cute Christmas baby clothes in there too, shame mine are too old as some bits were adorable!

Whatsmymethod · 16/11/2018 15:00

I have 5 x M&S 20% off codes if anyone needs one. Can be used up to 19th Nov

PiggeryPorcombe · 16/11/2018 15:01

I had a look in One Stop and as mentioned up thread they’ve got 3 for £5 on selected chocs. Well worth a look if you’re after Roses/Heroes and v good value for Guylian. If I’d not bought more than I even needed of the effing G&B I’d have got some from there instead.

Wiifitmama · 16/11/2018 15:18

This has been bothering me for a while now and I really need to know - what is with the llamas this christmas???? Was there a llama movie or something? I have even asked my kids and they don't know!!

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 16/11/2018 15:20

@Whatsmymethod could I have one please?

PiggeryPorcombe · 16/11/2018 15:24

@Wiifitmama I had this exact conversation with my mum this morn as we looked at a Christmas panda jumper? Also pugs? Flamingos? The ubiquitous unicorns. And obv llamas.

Whatsmymethod · 16/11/2018 15:25

Wellfuckme I've just messaged you one

Fork2fork · 16/11/2018 15:31

@TimeForMy10thCuppa bloom and Wild do a lovely little real Christmas tree delivered with baubles and lights for £22 using the code. 10FRB at checkout. My DM is in exactly the same situation as your DM so going to do this for her

Carbsnomarbs · 16/11/2018 15:33

wii it’s might be something to do with the game fortnite.

Does anyone know, on the amazon fire tabs, can you get YouTube on the kids versions? Thinking of getting the 7 after seeing the price but pointless if we can get YouTube on it

Snooky17 · 16/11/2018 15:39

@carbs a quick check on my kindle (where I have a kids account set up) shows no you tube app, you can access it on the normal kindle via the web browser

Snooky17 · 16/11/2018 15:44

@carbs I tell a lie it has the kids tube app

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2018 15:52

GruffaloStick · 16/11/2018 17:00

I need something for a 6 year old girl, loves Barbie unicorns etc. Max budget £20 but preferably something that looks more expensive Grin
She had 'everything' already and I've had to exchange the last 3 gifts as they were duplicates of things she already has so bonus points for something a bit different

Jemimafuckinpuddleduck · 16/11/2018 17:02

Does anyone had a no minimum spend £10 Boden code they won’t be using and would be willing to pm me?!...

My daughter the queen off odd requests has asked for glittery slippers and randomly there is pair on their website!!

Would be much appreciated!! X

FallenSky · 16/11/2018 17:22

@NotPennysBoat the Melissa and Doug pizza showing as £6.80, says it ends in 6 and a half hours.

NormaLouiseBates · 16/11/2018 17:39

Not a huge bargain but might help someone; I have a code for 20% off & free delivery at Feel Unique when you spend over £50.00:

D28LHCV3YD

They sent it to me in the post so not sure if it's a one off use or for multiple uses. Valid on full price items only.

Does anyone have a discount code for Next by any chance please? I know they sometimes do those £10 off your first order and that sort of thing.

unfortunateevents · 16/11/2018 17:47

Whatsmymethod if you have any codes left, I would love one please.
