Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

My daughter has asked Santa for the OG horse trailer.

To compensate having to build an extension to get the fucking thing in, wondered if anyone had seen it anywhere when I might be able to use a discount code to bring down the eye watering price!!!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 03/11/2018 20:02

@snooky you star done it attempt 6000 but I got a free mug well for postage 😀

HoneyDragon · 03/11/2018 20:21

NoWordForFluffy notoriously unreliable around my way Grin Delivery is terrible and the one time I tried to reserve and collect in store resulted in much hilarity and confusion as I went to collect a £10.00 cardigan but was presented with a scooter. Confused

Gentlygently · 03/11/2018 20:33

DS has asked for a Fitbit for Christmas. He is 10 and not v careful, but also not that fussed with branding. Was it on this thread people were recommending cheaper alternatives?

woodwaj · 03/11/2018 20:49

Thanks for the tunnel recommendations this morning. And thanks for the heads up on the £5 eBay voucher. I wouldn't have known otherwise

ritzbiscuits · 03/11/2018 21:15

@piedpiper4 Have you been to their factory shop in Stoke? I got the Liberty mug for £15, it's £28 in Liberty! They have discounts off seconds and if you look through them all, you can't easily find a good one

Catmint · 03/11/2018 21:36

Thank you @fairiesandelves our last wire garland is virtually bald, so this is great.

totallyLosingIt · 03/11/2018 21:44

I am desperate for a Emma Bridgewater sale too. Got my eye on the New York mug and a Henry VIII one for gifts. They had a really good sale a couple of months ago but had sold out of the NY one, so I held my breath hoping it would come back in stock before the sale ended but alas it did not 😣

My Dad loved his Woolovers last year too. He's commented on them loads this year, especially after I told him the price of them 😅
If they have the offer or similar on again then I will be buying for all the men in my family!

friskybivalves · 03/11/2018 21:51

@gentlygently re cheaper Fitbit stylee I was recommending mi band 3 which are around £27 on Amazon. They come with a black strap but for around a tenner you can buy ten other colours if you look down the amazon listings. They are fab. Charge quickly and hold charge well. Think are even water resistant to some level.

NoSquirrels · 03/11/2018 21:54

snowmanshoes these kimono doll nail polishes are super cute...

piedpiper4 · 03/11/2018 22:03

@ritzbiscuits unfortunately I'm way down South so never been to the factory. Probably for the best though to be fair. I do rather love a good mug!

thaegumathteth · 03/11/2018 22:06

Smyths has quite a lot of reductions on our generation but sadly not the horse trailer

Chocolateunicorn · 03/11/2018 22:15

LavateLasManos thanks I am really tempted

NeedMoreTea · 03/11/2018 22:56

Snowmanshoes Boots have a unicorn top nail varnish set in the Harry Potter range.

Thanks for the ordinance survey book, I've just ordered it. Sorry I can't remember who posted that.

NickMyLipple · 03/11/2018 23:10

Can I have the ordinance survey book link please? Thanks!

hmslfc · 03/11/2018 23:11

Does anyone have any knowledge of Hexbug Robot Wars? My ds8 is obsessed with all things Robot Wars so has obviously put them at the top of his list, however I'm concerned he won't get much play from them as he prefers to do the moving etc himself iyswim only plays with the frigging mini figures from £100 Lego sets Would appreciate any knowledgeable opinions - and of course any bargainious tips Grin

TalkingOrmer · 03/11/2018 23:20

NickMy here’s the link

AtSea1979 · 03/11/2018 23:26

Still catching up with the thread. No bargains as yet.
Anyone seen any good offers on advent calendars?

rosablue · 03/11/2018 23:41

@snowmanshoes Not particularly fancy - but Poundland often has a good range of nail varnish in from nice makes. Recently I’ve had or seen Revlon, Sally Hansen, Nails Inc, L’Oréal, Maybelline, Tigi and more. A way of getting good quality much more cheaply than normal to get several bottles for the price of one!

They also have some cute clear plastic holders for nail varnish bottles to be organised into (as well as others for eye pencils or lipsticks etc) which might be nice.

They also often have kids brands of nail varnish which have more fun packaging.

SockEatingMonster · 04/11/2018 00:05

I’m a bit behind on this thread, but was it @BreadAndButterDreamer who was looking for novelty rubber ducks?

If so, I spied some in Next whilst RL shopping today. They’re on their website too

IHeartKingThistle · 04/11/2018 00:17

Anyone's DC had either Hot Wires or Snap Circuits and can say if they're any good?

Chimchar · 04/11/2018 00:34

The body shop had a great deal in store on Friday...spend £30 and get a lovely £20 filled gift box for free!

Ds bought for his gf. Choice of a few different 'flavours'.

McSleepy · 04/11/2018 07:04

@hmslfc i have bought the hexbug robot wars for my son’s 7th birthday which is in 2 weeks so I can give you a proper review once he’s opened it. It is at the top of his list so whilst it’s not what I would’ve usually bought, we couldn’t not. Plus our house is overrun with Lego so I couldn’t face buying any more! The box is smaller than I expected for a toy if this price but the robots do look great. We bought it when Smyths had the £12 off £100 so I added a light up globe and remote controlled car to get up to £100.
