Thanks @Equimum and @Methenyouplus4 It is the actual RW ones he is fixated on unfortunately so I don't think I'd get away with the other ones, even if they are a bargain! Have just seen that the duel pack is currently £39.99 on Amazon so I may just go for that. Also if anyone is looking, the Robot Wars handbook is currently reduced to £6.99. Can't do a link but it's this one.

Hello .. New on here ( for this year anyway , have just started to think about presents!). Has anyone bought Geomag construction sets for their 6yrs olds? im thinking for DGS or should I stick with Lego ( he loves Lego).. This one looks a good price, Is it do you think ?

Can anyone tell me about Luvabella dolls? I didn't know what they were til 5 mins ago and now I desperately want one for DD, but they are definitely not bargainous!

Are they worth it and what would be a good price?

Geomag is fab but yes I think you do need a large set to give them enough build options. Loads of ideas for builds on YouTube etc.

It really is! We got DS a small set first to check if he liked it and then luckily our neighbour was selling a huge box of it!

Maybe a smaller set this year and if he likes it graduate up? My DS still gets his out and he's 9 and a half you so have time!

@hmlfc, what age would you say that book is good for? Son is not quite 6 but suspected dyslexia so can barely read. He is read to by us every night though and loves non-fiction (often stuff aimed at 8 year olds). Do you think it woukd be suitable?

I wouldn’t bother with the “mechanics” geomag stuff.its not well reviewed. Ours broke easily and took forever to set up and kids always needed help to do it
Much better with regular geomag stuff then they can could as they please
