Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

If anyone knows of any Lakeland offer codes, I’d be extreme grateful.

Exploring · 01/11/2018 20:03

Sorry if this is a repeat but have you guys seen the Ikea advent calendar deal this year? They are 2.95 and contain a voucher, minimum of £5 but a chance of a bigger amount. This year they have had a problem with missing vouchers so are giving out a seperate £5 voucher. We got 3 & they all had £5 inside so in total we have £30. Spend by 31st Jan, not sure if you have to do 1 per transaction but we are local 😂 so not a problem.

ja9r · 01/11/2018 20:51

Thanks for the Themedmug code. Love bits like that to add onto my dads pressie.

orangemouth · 01/11/2018 20:59

I'm planning on using brown paper for wrapping this year. Has anyone seen a bargainous wide roll anywhere?

Elphaba17 · 01/11/2018 21:00

From midnight there will be free delivery at the Disney store online all weekend.

FireflyGirl · 01/11/2018 21:06

My Little Pony marker ponies, £5.99 in Home Bargains. These are a great size for the price!

They also had lots of lovely retro toys for 99p, fantastic stocking fillers!

I could have spent a fortune in there!

Thanks for the Thomas link. Just ordered!!

wornoutboots · 02/11/2018 09:23

So much for keeping costs down! My husband got the 3 year old a wooden doll house yesterday from lidl. He was supposed to get the little one as it's cheaper and we have no space. So I guess the lesson is that given the choice assume my husband will always want a big one!

Unfortunately this means I need something big for her brothers (the middle child has autism and won't understand if she has big boxes to unwrap and his are small, but they all have to have the same number to open too... It's frustrating)

Anyone got any genius ideas for an 8 year old and a 6 year old around £20 to £30?
When I ask for ideas the eldest just wants the latest xbox which isn't happening! And the middle child doesn't know what he wants.

Drummingisfun · 02/11/2018 09:28

Wornoutboots If you've not opened it just take back and exchange for small one.
Lidl are good for refunds.

TittyBoneGhoul · 02/11/2018 09:29

wornoutboots what about beanbags/blow up chairs/gaming chairs

margaritasbythesea · 02/11/2018 09:58

Wornoutboots - It is a lovely dolls house. I got it for DD.

What about a bungee bouncer , hula hoop or pogo stick?

Nerf Guns often come in big packages - and they ften have price drops on Amazon for Christmas so you could follow a few on CCC.

XiCi · 02/11/2018 10:02

Carrie76 I got my skateboard but was a real impulse buy for me and have decided dd is far too young for it. I was going to stash it for a couple of years but am happy to sell it on and post to you if you want it. Its well worth the £13. Just pm me if you want it.

Jammiebammie · 02/11/2018 10:22

I can’t remember who I was was speaking to about th cult beauty free gift (sorry!) but they have it again this year, free with a £175 spend and definitely worth it here

Mrsfussypants1 · 02/11/2018 10:26

Were there many of the large wooden dolls houses left in Lidl? I think that's the best dolls house I've seen. Fab design and layout. I prefer it to asda light up dolls house which we have already bought but can sell on to a friend.

Unihorn · 02/11/2018 10:39

The only thing sold out at my Lidl was the bloody kitchen!

Mrsfussypants1 · 02/11/2018 10:58

Oh no unihorn, there are so many good wooden kitchens at such a good price, hope you get one. I can't believe how good and how cheap wooden toys are now days, really impressed. I'm off to Lidl!
