Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

the kinetic sand upthread is a bargain, we've got it and the kids really like it

makes a mess of carpets though

KitKatCHA · 19/10/2018 17:58

This Galt Toys Science Kit on Amazon is a total bargain if you don't mind waiting for delivery - reduced to only £6.50 the reviews are fab. It says age 6+ but the reviews are saying it's suitable for older kids too. You have to look at 'other sellers' to see this price.

aep22 · 19/10/2018 18:08

Peppa Pig Card Games is £1.99 on Amazon here: Ravensburger Peppa Pig Card Game www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0788C1D5L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_48GYBbTN398AW?tag=mumsnetforum-21

GruffaloStick · 19/10/2018 18:13

Would the kinetic sand be suitable for a 2 year old? Mine loooves sand but everything seems to be 3+ wondered if that's just an arse covering precaution or if I'm missing some vital hazard.
It would be used under supervision of course

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 19/10/2018 18:27

kinetic sand is a choking hazard, like play doh GruffaloStick

i always let my kids play with play doh when they were under 3, but was sitting next to them, it's a personal choice...

but if you can stop them eating it, I think kinetic sand would be a lot of fun for a supervised 2 year old to play with

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 19/10/2018 18:31

thanks for the science kit - lowest I've seen them in shops is £10 - bought 2!

thaegumathteth · 19/10/2018 18:38

Thanks @KitKatCHA I’ve ordered the science kit for dd

Unihorn · 19/10/2018 18:42

I bought that Peppa Pig card game last week Envy

snowmanshoes · 19/10/2018 19:03

I've bought two of those science kits too, one for dd bday and one for an upcoming party she's going to. Thanks

thesoo · 19/10/2018 19:05

I am on the lookout for some bargain tea light holders. Preferably rustic looking, maybe made from driftwood or similar? I have a few to buy so don't want to pay a lot. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

TellMeDinosaurFacts · 19/10/2018 19:22

I’ve been stalking various science kits for ages- thank you! Now if anyone sees bargain white lab coats aged 3-4 and 7-8....

GruffaloStick · 19/10/2018 19:37

Thanks Bernard great name by the way.

We have play doh already which I thought was 2+ Blush I guess sand at the beach is a choking hazard too but hopefully under supervision the kinetic stuff will be safe. I think I'll get it and if it doesn't seem right I'll put it away for a while. The wooden fruit set I bought her is also 3+ but i can't fathom how that could be unsafe

Pandasarecute · 19/10/2018 20:47

Is there any way of getting free delivery on the science kit if you're not spending £20?

WheresTheCoffee · 19/10/2018 20:54

I have a Boden code, £10 off £30 spend. PM me if you'd like it

EmGee · 19/10/2018 21:15

Another GALT science kit purchased. Great price!

Panda only if you've got Prime or sign up for a free trial, I think.

maybeitsbecauseim · 19/10/2018 21:32

I have two 20% off M&S codes to share, valid until Monday 22nd:
KLYB-F8KX-FBWU-KE9S
KL8F-M28Y-MGMX-KELD

Can I also please ask if anyone has any tips or bargains on Barbie houses?

Pandasarecute · 19/10/2018 21:52

EmGee, thanks - think my brother has prime to I'll ask him to order!

Has anyone seen a code for Lakeland? They sometimes send me one but not had one for ages and I want to place an order!

SockEatingMonster · 19/10/2018 22:05

Thank you for posting the Amazon LOL price drop @TimeForMy10thCuppa

I’d preordered one at £13.49 and it was too late to stop dispatch, but when I did an online chat with Amazon they credited my account £2 as a goodwill gesture. Look after the pennies...
