Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

My mom had a look at what sainsburys we’re putting out. There was a hot wheels set, playmobil zoo, some VTech Baby toys on the palettes. Also a big Barbie camper van I think?

Thomo34 · 16/10/2018 08:48

Thank you the barbie campervan is on my list

@Drummingisfun unfortunately I think that’s why that particular wallet is so heavily discounted- looks beautiful but one pretty big flaw Sad

OhHolyFuck · 16/10/2018 09:08

Lamaze Firefly baby toy usually £15 down to £6

FilthyforFirth · 16/10/2018 09:11

Was there a debenhams code kicking about?! Got a lot in my bag...

OhHolyFuck · 16/10/2018 09:11

@Teabird I'd love the boden code if still available- they've astronaut pjs and my DS wants to dress up as the first hippo on the moon (David walliams book)....

Teabird · 16/10/2018 09:17

@Ohholyfuck, just sent it to you now.

OhHolyFuck · 16/10/2018 09:46

Thanks @Teabird - got DS those pjs and my friends little girl a birthday present too

buckeejit · 16/10/2018 10:02

@BanoffeePieIsMyFave - that is a shame & Ive just bought 2! They'll be good for a Euro purse though & will gift one

Not particularly bargainous but Asda wooden toys which are lovely have some new things - I've ordered the wooden ice cream/lollies

Rockhopper81 · 16/10/2018 10:29

NoHufflefucksGivenMugglefucker I’ve ordered lots of little bits from AliExpress and never had any problems with them - I’ve had to register a dispute about a couple, and the result has always been a full refund, so that policy seems good too.

As for frames - that’s the difficulty with posters. IKEA is usually my go-to for frames, but they don’t do any with those (or near) dimensions...maybe it’s not such a great buy if you can’t get a frame for it! Or, if you’re feeling handy, buy some of the wooden edging strips from B&Q and make a false frame around it on the wall - it would just sit over the poster on the wall, rather than the poster sitting in it, but it would give the illusion of a frame. I’m not sure I’m explaining it very well to be honest. I’m planning to do that for a couple of my nephews posters that are irregular sized, just got to get around to buying the trim!

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts

Might be worth stalking your local charity shops (or ebay) for pure cashmere garments as you can trade them in with Turtle Doves for a free pair of gloves - just pay postage.

I had an old felted jumper which I sent in and got some beautiful charcoal grey gloves in return

TheHammaconda · 16/10/2018 10:54

Boden never send me codes! If anyone has any going I'd be very grateful for one. Thanks

MuppysMum · 16/10/2018 11:04

My Mum says she has "everything" so sets me a Challenge every yr to create a small hamper with a theme of her choice. This year its Animals but the items have to be practical! So can I say a big thank you to the poster for the M +S dragonfly cushions and also the poster for the Magpie stuff the animal tins and cups etc were all a fab find and now in hamper. I will keep looking at the thread to see if can spot any other animal bargains! Smile

Thought would share a bargain back if you are in similar spot of looking for animal gifts or hamper gifts for your mums. FAT FACE has a 50% off sale at the moment but if you go in store as I did today they have their womens socks down from £6 to £2 each PLUS must admit did slight jig (outside shop lol) they are on 3 for 2 offer so I got 3 socks with diff animals on for £4 total. Not xmas designs so you could keep for gifts for birthdays. Hope that helps someone out. They had good stuff too for men but Ive done the guys in the family so didnt look.

Elphaba17 · 16/10/2018 11:32

Thanks for the fossil link, I ordered the continental flap wallet reduced from £99 to £15. The wallet pictured above is the bifold one, having had one before they're only really good if you carry one or 2 cards and some cash, perfect for the likes of my mum but definitely not for meSmile

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 16/10/2018 12:15

Thanks @CarrotVan - my closet is sadly devoid of cashmere, but wouldn't be surprised if our local charity shops have something so will take a look.

For anyone trying the Turtle Doves lucky dip, someone down-thread mentioned making a request for a dark colour - might be worth making that kind of request as my lucky dip fingerless gloves were a baby powder pink, which isn't my fav but I think I can make it work for MIL...

CarrotVan · 16/10/2018 12:21

Also if you ask they might have stuff in the back as Turtle Doves will accept garments with holes, felting etc as long as they are clean

drspouse · 16/10/2018 12:22

I can see a "lucky dip" in that you say roughly what colour you want and then get something in that range - is there something different?

CarrotVan · 16/10/2018 12:34

this @drspouse

drspouse · 16/10/2018 12:35

That says for recycling a jumper?

CarrotVan · 16/10/2018 12:41

There are two offers

One - you can send in a 100% cashmere garment and they will send you a pair of lucky dip gloves for postage cost

Two - you can click on 'become our friend' and get the link for the lucky dip gloves with the code for £10 off so inc postage you get fingerless gloves for £19

drspouse · 16/10/2018 12:45

Ah so the lucky dip gloves OR anything else at £10 off. I see!

CarrotVan · 16/10/2018 12:51

The code is only on the gloves

BigEaredBob · 16/10/2018 13:14

Has anyone seen the sylvanian doctor/nurse/dentist set discounted anywhere?
