MsMia I got dd last years annuals one year for Christmas and she didn’t notice as it was still the year on the annual at Christmas so it seemed in date iykwim. Think I got a beano one for about 39p! I’d do it!

Singingitoverandoverandover · 29/08/2018 07:46

Argos always reduce annuals near the end of the year to pence!

Coldilox · 29/08/2018 08:26

Oh god I want a revenge penguin, but I suspect it would lead to divorce if that showed up on the doorstep

Tildero · 29/08/2018 08:33

Thanks badgerface I will take a look.

princessbear80 · 29/08/2018 08:38

Giant gnome klaxon sounded too early. They weren’t the Christmas ones honeydragon.

Jammiebammie · 29/08/2018 08:39

Ooh I like revenge penguin for a thread title Grin

Smiggle have their advent calendar out now here did anyone have this last year and can tell me what it’s like? Not sure if I’ll get this or the Star Wars Lego for dd. There’s 20% off smiggle for new customers but I don’t know if that will work on the advent.

I had an email from eBay today with a 10% off code for orders over £40 - not sure if its generic but the code is PAYME10 if anyone wants to try it?

They’ve also got Odeon cinema tickets on groupon again (2D) - 3 for £16.50 or £5 for £25 here

  • this works our much better than the 2for1 deals so I always try to grab them when they’re on.
newroundhere · 29/08/2018 08:53

Annoyingly that ebay code is only for select retailers Jammie. From their website:

How to redeem your coupon:

Simply make a purchase of £40 or more on eBay.co.uk from one of the following eligible sellers:

online-home-retail
outdoortoy
hyundaipowerequipmentdirect
evre-uk
cheapest_electrical
tesco_outlet
barmy_bargains
folkestonefixings
Furnitureinstore

WreckTangled · 29/08/2018 08:55

Jammie I'm going for the tinc advent calendar as it's meant to be much better than the smiggle one. The tinc website shows you what was in last years.

RyanStartedTheFire · 29/08/2018 08:59

That Odeon code is fab, has just saved me at least £20!

Duckyneedsaclean · 29/08/2018 09:05

Just seen free delivery over £10 for www.theworks.co.uk/ with code FREETEN.

They have their usual ten books for £10 or two xmas gifts £10.

TheHammaconda · 29/08/2018 09:10

Latest in Beauty have up to 40% off their beauty boxes

www.latestinbeauty.com/collections

Could be good for teens, beauty advents or even Xmas Eve boxes. Cashback available from Topcashback too.

Carrie76 · 29/08/2018 09:31

@whatwillicallmyself from memory you can order from studio but you have to pay up front you can’t put it on an account .

Jammiebammie · 29/08/2018 09:32

Ah sorry I didn’t read the t&cs for eBay! Thanks @newroundhere

Am I living under a rock that I haven’t heard of Tinc? Hmm dd likes smiggle which is why I thought that, but I’ll check tinc out, thanks @wrecktangled

Glad to help @ryanstartedthefire - it excludes a couple of films and on certain dates but I’ve never had an issue - I don’t mind going to the cinema for a fiver a ticket instead of £13 Shock

squish7 · 29/08/2018 09:46

Love the odeon codes, but says it expires 11. oct 18. do groupon normally do these nearer christmas?

thanks

sonicdoom · 29/08/2018 09:51

Shameless place-marking. Will read this later when kids are asleep

LittleMousewithcloggson · 29/08/2018 09:52

Tinc advent calendar was fantastic last year, going to get them again for my DDs this year.
Cheaper version of smiggle but IMO just as good quality

margaritasbythesea · 29/08/2018 09:56

Anyone with Minecraft fans, look at for the Blockpedia for 5.99 in B&M. Well pleased.

It´s a longshot but if anyone sees any bargains on PS4 games for next day delivery, can you post. DS has been invited to a party on Friday. When I asked the mum what he´d like she said a PS4 game. They all seem to be at least twice the price of my normal budget for kids parties! Sad And of course, DS insists he get a cool one, not the ones that are reduced in Argos...

hoopdeloop · 29/08/2018 09:59

Betsy, put a camel camel camel alert on, I got my DS a blue kiddizoom camera last year for £30 which is about as cheap as amazon goes for them

margaritasbythesea · 29/08/2018 10:12

I have just tried to use the 20% code you get for signing to the newslietter on the Smiggle advent calendar and it didn´t work. Sad

whatwillicallmyself · 29/08/2018 10:40

carrie76 Thanks a million thats great did you just contact them and ask for that arrangement ?

itsonlysubterfuge · 29/08/2018 10:48

Bought these TY Beanie Boos from Aliexpress. It was really good, if it was fake I couldn't tell. They have others for cheaper on the site, but this is the one I bought before.

woodwaj · 29/08/2018 10:52

Margarita CF Parent alert?! That's way ott to ask for as a bday present. Instead of a game I'd buy a PlayStation gift voucher they can buy a digital game instead or use it as a credit towards their existing games. Download games are much cheaper and you can spend in budget

Pearlton · 29/08/2018 10:58

Has anyone spotted any nice, bargainous puzzles and wooden games about? I need a couple of brightly coloured 500-1000 piece ones for adults and some for children/toddlers? Maybe wooden ones for children? Really want to get these off my list and not having much luck! Thanks 🙂

Angryangryyoungwoman · 29/08/2018 11:10

@Pearlton aldi and lidl usually have some

Angryangryyoungwoman · 29/08/2018 11:14

For example ; aldi
