Just arrived in the post today, 25% off everything at Joules with code OAK25. This Thursday to Sunday only.

CaveMum · 04/09/2018 22:14

@Millie2013 does she like horses? My Dd (4.5) is horse obsessed at the moment so we are looking at getting her something from the Schleich “Horse Club” range, most likely the Riding Centre, but we’re waiting to see if the price comes down first - cheapest we’ve seen it is £74+ postage.

Hoping someone can help me, when dh and I were kids our parents both had a Mr Christmas Santa Band and I would love to get one for our tree this year. They don't make them anymore in the UK, and eBay has given me many second hand in the US at £60+ like this one m.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Vtg-Mr-Christmas-SANTAS-MARCHING-BAND-Never-Removed-From-Box/323271122486?hash=item4b4475de36:g:or0AAOSwhqVbBshp . Does anyone know where I could look in the UK for something similar? Or do I resign myself to chancing getting something expensive shipped :s

Drummingisfun · 04/09/2018 22:32

That strikes me as the sort of thing you might find in tkmaxx or homesense if they are still made.

Drummingisfun · 04/09/2018 22:43

I'm hoping for some help with a search if anyone is able please?
I'm looking for an adult sized zip-up onsie for a woman.
The problem is that it needs to be made of cotton sweatshirt material, and all the adult size I can find are fleece or synthetic blend.
I've tried Next, gap, H+M, all the department stores.
I've found some on eBay but I think that would be a lottery with sizing and also they all seem be at least 50% polyester.
Does anyone have any idea where I could look? Also restricted a little by budget. Absolute max is £40 if it's amazing, ideally cheaper.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 04/09/2018 22:58

Drumming I had one last year from new look.
Would sports shops stock a branded one?

drumming I bought one in home bargains of all places! Last year though. It was £10 and mostly cotton sweatshirt material. Sports direct had similar ones in too.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 04/09/2018 23:17

this site has a couple drumming

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 05/09/2018 00:41

Thanks all - first time I've seen a Christmas bargain thread on MN!! I've been here over 10 years - how is that even possible?! Grin

Regressionconfession · 05/09/2018 02:04

cavemum those Schleich sets are beautiful!! I've never seen them before. Unfortunately my horse obsessed girl prefers her playmobil horses.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 05/09/2018 06:21

Thank you singing that will be great for my ds2.

I have a £10 off £40 spend at Emma Bridgewater if that's any use for anyone? Let me know here and I'll PM you the code because I think it's unique.

WreckTangled · 05/09/2018 06:28

@mehimthem they will definitely all be the same.

Reastie · 05/09/2018 06:52

Drumming this is quite high polyester but in budget here

woodwaj · 05/09/2018 07:39

Cotton onesie? here

WreckTangled · 05/09/2018 08:06

I see on the tinc fb page people have asked about the advent calendar but tinc said they have private messaged the answer 🤔

crikeycrumbsblimey · 05/09/2018 08:16

@Thatsnotmybookworm

I’ve bought work backpacks from TK Maxx and the selection and brands are good. Wenger etc

I like the fjallraven though some can look a bit beaten after a while - I think picking the right colour helps

MrsGB2225 · 05/09/2018 08:33

Sorry if someone has already posted (haven’t got time to look through the thread) but I’ve just got some bits in the entertainer sale online.

Unihorn · 05/09/2018 08:45

Toaster set sold out on Mothercare now Sad

CaveMum · 05/09/2018 09:10

If anyone happens to see the Toot Toot Driver Garage on sale anywhere do tag me! I’ve got an Amazon price alert set up if it drops there.

Millie2013 · 05/09/2018 10:49

Cavemum, yes she loves horses, we’ve got a pony! Thank you, I’ll keep an eye on that

MissRainbowBrite · 05/09/2018 11:03

I've started stocking the Christmas chocolate cupboard this morning. Tesco had all flavours of Matchmakers for 75p and large white Toblerone for £1.50 with a best before of next July.

EmGee · 05/09/2018 11:17

For all those Fjallraven owners, what colours would you recommend? It would be for DH not the kids and wouldn't be heavily used (holidays mainly).

EmGee · 05/09/2018 11:18

Thanks too for the Joules code. DD wants a shirt from there but it is quite pricey at 30 odd quid. Do you think there will be any better deals between now and December?
