Place marking. This thread is my saviour every year.

OutnumberedByFurchesters · 05/08/2018 21:12

You guys found some amazing things for my family last year so I'm placemarking too...

Got my first christmas bargain today, the Ozbozz light burst scooter in my local Tesco today for £10.50. No ticket on shelf so lucky that we used the scan as you shop to check the price!

Red and white version, the tesco websote says they no longer stock it, so may be an in store bargain sadly.

The pink and white one is on argos for £39.99 with some good reviews so hoping my daughter will love it.

duckling84 · 05/08/2018 21:31

Ooo they are a wonderful idea thank you rosie
I've got some of these www.temptationgifts.com/product/east-of-india-penguins-strung-bags-xmas in different sizes for stockings and the dcs presents. Saves so much wrapping!

Givealittlebit · 05/08/2018 21:33

@duckling84 thanks for the cat in the hat bargain - always buy our son books so first present done!

LikeSilver · 05/08/2018 21:37

Checking in as the summer birthdays are now over so I’m on full countdown Grin Thanks!

Stompythedinosaur · 05/08/2018 21:52

Have just bought the snitch bracelet so thanks for the tip (as well as a whole bunch of other cheap jewellery bits for the dc's advent calendar).

FlowerTink · 05/08/2018 22:13

Thank you Reastie! Had such a great time on these threads last year, very excited to be back with you all :)

SimplyPut · 05/08/2018 22:49

Oh hello my favourite thread of the year! How many years have you been doing this service to the mumsnet nation now Restie?

LilMadAgain · 05/08/2018 22:53

woodwaj I bought the Lego Junior fire engine set in a case from a mention on this thread last year, it's perfect for age five and it has a motorcycle and fire engine with a wagon thing attached. I highly recommend it and maybe Amazon will have it cheap again this year?

Monkeymonstermum · 05/08/2018 22:54

Wow, some great bargains on the Kite website, especially with the extra 20% off (love their things so got loads for son and and pressies for others) - thanks weebarra!

Polkapjs · 05/08/2018 23:01

Polkapjs · 05/08/2018 23:01

LilMadAgain · 05/08/2018 23:07

woodwaj · 05/08/2018 23:07

Thanks lilmad I think I know what you mean. Was it a red or blue case?

Notlongnow1 · 05/08/2018 23:27

Literally the only reason I'm on Mumsnet! Excited already! Lol

3isthemajicnumber · 05/08/2018 23:38

Another placemark here. I bought loads of stuff last year that you guys found so don't want to lose you.

wornoutboots · 05/08/2018 23:44

All these less-than-£1 earrings etc on Amazon make quick and easy teacher gifts, btw..... I try to have a few pairs here in case (staff members have been leaving fairly frequently at my kid's school...)

SheStoodInTheStorm · 05/08/2018 23:59

Woohoo! I'm very excited for this again this year [santa]

Alwayscheerful · 06/08/2018 00:01

Placemarking.

Curious2468 · 06/08/2018 00:56

Someone was asking about the robot wars toys. If you go through hexbug site and sign up to their news letter you can get 30% off! I saved a fortune

Reastie · 06/08/2018 06:49

This must be about year 5 or 6 of the threads I reckon, seems to get more popular every year!

Place marking, first Christmas where I need to buy for 2 children so starting early. Gutted I missed the Amazon 3 for 2 though..

TynesideBlonde · 06/08/2018 07:21

I’ve bought quite a few stocking bits and pieces in The Works for £1 and £2.

Wait4nothing · 06/08/2018 07:23

Ohh I’m excited. On a very small list this year (Just had dc2) as our house is full!
Trying to cut down on people we buy for too (just getting a kids if other family have them) so only 7 adults and 2 kids and a dog (along with our 2 kids and dog). Not buying each other but bought tickets to see a comedian next year.
First on my list is balls for Ball pit (that I got in the summer sale) for less than £5 for 100 (standard price) but would rather in store than online. That’s going to be baby’s ‘big’ present and will hopefully be less than £10 all in!

historyismything · 06/08/2018 07:35

As if I wasn't excited enough for Christmas (is it too early to crack out the Christmas cds?) it's the third year I have followed these threads and they make me excited for Christmas!
