Someone mentioned upthread about Sharpies? B+M has a huge pack of 30 for £13.99 which is far cheaper than WHSmith Grin

Toomanycats99 · 09/08/2018 19:27

@Reastie

Uk recently introduced gdpr data privacy regulations around holding customer data. I find lots of O/s websites are now not available to view so I would assume it's that. So not the shipping as such but the holding of your name / address.

Reastie · 09/08/2018 19:29

That’s interesting, you’d think they’d just work out how to safely hold the data rather than miss out on europeon custom but maybe they dint may a huge amount from these orders.

@Moopoint amazon always have their tablets on in the Black Friday sales.
Year before last I got my lot the amazon fire on black Friday from Curry’s it was around £28 absolute bargain so I would definitely wait until then.
Hopefully there should be some switch deals this year.

Had an email to say new lines have been added to Magpie sale and 20% off code (BIG20) extended until next Monday. I imagine it's because we've decimated all the stock, judging from the sudden appearance of so many sold out signsGrin

@GruffaloStick, there's a notice on the Magpie site saying that despatch times are longer during the sale. I've ordered from them several times over the years and never had an issue. (Although the last lot did come in a weirdly massive box!) Think my sale order took about a week.

BadgerFace · 09/08/2018 19:57

Thanks Imsorry. Sadly DD seems stuck on Schleich but i’ll monitor the playmobil in case she changes her mind between now and purchase!!

Lacypants · 09/08/2018 19:58

Just checking in

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 09/08/2018 20:15

Hooray! I’ve found my people again :o

Thank you for the magpie link, the record boxes are unbelievably perfect for DB even at full price never mind that price! And I may have purchased some greys anatomy esque plates for myself Blush

FilthyforFirth · 09/08/2018 20:24

Thanks @Vivajen! I will check out our tk maxx tomorrow, I'd love to pick them up in a bargain. If not eecook website for me on payday!

woodwaj · 09/08/2018 20:46

I've never even looked at the pottery barn website and now I'm gutted that I can't!

Carrie76 · 09/08/2018 21:01

@reastie if you just want to have a drool on pottery barn you can mask your IP address. If you download freevpn and put your location as the US you can drool awaySmile

StubbleTurnips · 09/08/2018 21:23

Re: Schleich calendars - we've had the horse one for £15 in years gone by. Not entirely sure it was worth it so I'll not be doing that again.
Thanks to the playmobil one, might get horse mad DD that one!

TryingtobePrepared · 09/08/2018 21:26

Evening all! Love this thread and just wanted to say thank you to whoever posted the Ollie & Nic info have used my lovely new b'day present to self bag today 😊😊. Popped into Tesco today and they have loads of deals on stationary in their back to school stuff would be good for stocking fillers but also sharpies & crayola sets at pretty good discounts.

StubbleTurnips · 09/08/2018 21:26

Forgot to add - worth a check for schleich stuff on:
www.toysandlearning.co.uk

TalkingOrmer · 09/08/2018 21:26

I picked up this bargain from another site:

Baby/toddler carrier for £4.99!

You need to look at the promotion information and accept the voucher. It's reduced from £35.

I've bought it for DD to carry her dolls.

TalkingOrmer · 09/08/2018 21:30

Ooops! here's the link

And it's actually reduced from £43.

Pixie2015 · 09/08/2018 21:40

Great thread my two favourite topics bargind and Christmas - reserved the playmobil thanks x

ScandiLady · 09/08/2018 21:42

The dds wishes the PLUM Discovery Mud Pie kitchen. You think it would be a weird Christmas gift? And any idea if I can get it at a better deal than Amazon? Thank you in advance

NoWordForFluffy · 09/08/2018 21:51

Costco has it for £170.00. How much at Amazon?

Kraggle · 09/08/2018 22:00

I couldn’t resist and have just bought 4 lots of those nesting tins off of Magpie. Will either be teacher/ta gifts with some sweets in or for relatives.

Japril · 09/08/2018 22:07

The pottery barn stuff is available in the UK through the site www.westelm.co.uk/

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 09/08/2018 22:22

If anyone is near Laindon, all the shops there will be closing soon, due to new builds. The co-op will close on the 1st of Sept, they have lots of food, kitchen stuff and children's books reduced. Could be good for stocking up pickles and things.
There is also a couple of second hand shops that have massively cut their prices.

FireflyGirl · 09/08/2018 22:25

Up to 50% off in the Natural History Museum shop sale. This has been popular in the past for more unusual presents.

TiffinBox · 09/08/2018 22:26

@Reastie @Coldilox Is it just me that thinks Private Twinkle jewellery sounds rude?

I nominate thi as the next thread title!
