Welcome all to the 2018 Christmas bargain threads. Once it gets underway I’ll start compiling some of the main links to put in the next thread, if you have a link you’d like me to stick in please let me know.

Sorry that last message is quite confuddling, I meant to say it's £10 on Argos and if you can find someone to buy one as well it brings it down to £7.50 as it's two for £15.00 sorry, been a looooong day

CarrotVan · 09/08/2018 15:57

The Private Twinkle jewellery on Amazon looks like a good deal - and there’s some snowflake necklaces and earrings

gaggiagirl · 09/08/2018 16:59

B&M are starting to clear out their summer stock to make way for Halloween/back to school etc so expect some bargains in their summer clearance sale in the next week or so.

CarrotVan · 09/08/2018 17:03

Does anyone have a Zavvi referral code?

I’m getting some packs of Top Trumps for DS1 as they’re 3 for £12. If you set up an account you get 10% with ‘welcome’ and there’s space for a referral code discount too

Coldilox · 09/08/2018 17:19

Is it just me that thinks Private Twinkle jewellery sounds rude? Grin

GruffaloStick · 09/08/2018 17:23

Is everyone else still waiting for magpie to dispatch, I only ordered on Tue am but I get a bit nervous ordering from a 'new to me' company and it all seemed too good to be true!

CarrotVan · 09/08/2018 17:33

Sadly they don’t do vajazzle stuff @coldilox

Coldilox · 09/08/2018 17:38

CarrotVan Claearly missing a trick there

Coldilox · 09/08/2018 17:39

Gruffalo I've used them before, they have brilliant customer service, don't worry

NoWordForFluffy · 09/08/2018 17:39

The only Zavvi referral I have looks like this. Not sure it'll help for Top Trumps!

Argh no gutted did I miss this starting! pulls up chair, hands round mince pies
I saw an ad for the bake off, the NFL season pregames are about to start, I actually felt cold today, it’s definitey TIME!
I have one kid in desperate need of a tablet, as they’ve smashed the screen, and the other really wants a Nintendo Switch. It’s way too expensive for an Xmas present, £400 with the games!! So I’m looking to get it second hand, or make it a joint birthday/Xmas gift and have family chip in. Any tablet deals, what did people manage to get on Black Friday last year? Need to have the same apps as apple products really.
I like that they’ve picked just one thing each, I’m at war with clutter and I don’t want more tat in my house. Just wish it wasn’t two expensive things!

VivaJen · 09/08/2018 17:47

@FilthyforFirth you can get Spode Christmas Tree at a decent price from ecookshop and the usually have an extra 10% off if you use the code on the main page. Have a look at park promotions and Sinclairs Collectables. TK Maxx usually has some in the run up to Christmas. I love the range and use it for the whole of December 🎄

Coldilox · 09/08/2018 17:48

What do we think this year's Fingerling and LOL Surprise thingamyjig will be?

GruffaloStick · 09/08/2018 18:04

TweedyF · 09/08/2018 18:14

Of anyone is interested. I bought some fake fingerlings by accident on ebay and they are absolutely fine and seem to me like the real thing. They were around £6 each. So worth a shot if your kids won't notice.

WreckTangled · 09/08/2018 18:49

Coldilox if you google 2018 top Christmas toys Argos released theirs not long ago. They had some fingerlings and a weird pooing unicorn version of the LOL doll.

I first joined this thread six years ago!
Thanks reastie Smile

I have the added benefit this year that, as I'm term time only in my usual job, I've got a second job in a libel indi toy shop! Prices are on par with amazon and I get a discount on top.

Ds' birthday is in November and he wants a scooter so that's fine, we have micro scooters in the shop.

imsorryiasked · 09/08/2018 18:53

@OhHolyFuck Thanks for the White Stuff link - they have some great decorations. I love the mice and have bought a yeti for a friend Grin

Toomanycats99 · 09/08/2018 18:54

Asda have the Harry Potter page to screen book for £20. It's supposed rrp is £50 - it's on amazon for £32. It's a gorgeous looking large hardback book.

clairec87 · 09/08/2018 19:00

Thanks for all the info on sylvanians in tkmaxx. Will take a look

imsorryiasked · 09/08/2018 19:04

@BadgerFace I dont remember Schleich being discounted in previous years. However Playmobil are doing a horse farm advent calendar this year which is £19.99 and has a better chance of going on offer.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 09/08/2018 19:14

Hi all, back for year 4 for me although I haven’t found amazing bargains and desperately want to find a good one. Cracked open an autumn candle and think I’ll get a fire going in a minute.
Wanted to remind people to use or open a topcashback account for their Xmas purchases- I’ve made hundreds back over last few years. The worst part about this thread is buying lovely things for ME - just bought an Ollie and Nic bag for winter.

Reastie · 09/08/2018 19:19

Went on pottery barn website to see if their Christmas stuff had come up yet (as I like to look at it for a drool Blush and covet it all) and they now mo longer deliver to UK or EU due to a change in EU low. No idea what the change in law is but thought it might be useful to know should anyone here be p,an invite on ordering anything from the states as there may be issues with other companies too. And Brexit hasn’t even happened yet!
