Talking I ended up going for the free photobook too! (code: FREELMBOOK still have to pay 3 quid delivery but can be a decent size book) The wall prints I mentioned were ten quid for delivery Shock so... nope.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 08/08/2018 09:56

Yay!! Reastie!!

duckling84 · 08/08/2018 09:59

swishy we pick up tegu from tk maxx which is always good price but not sure about anything else.

I loved Polly pockets as a child. I have no one to buy them for, is it wrong to order one for myself?

Biscusting · 08/08/2018 10:13

Out TKmaxx is selling Sylvannian families set too. They are the same price as Symths and other toy stores. Worth a look at the other toys they have.

If anyone hasn’t jumped on the pie-face hype from a few years ago (my dc too young for it) I found it for £5 in Home Bargains. They also had lots of lovely sticker books 69p and craft sets for under £3

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 08/08/2018 10:31

TK Maxx - I mostly use this for the present cupboard and always have a look in there when I'm in. Always seem to have loads of Melissa & Doug toys which is helpful as loads of friends have young dc.

Also just did an online search for toys and bought loads Blush

Some stuff worth pointing out...

Magformers for £9.99

Some Green Toys for good prices, including this seaplane which is around half the usual price. We have this and it is used in the bath every night! This tugboat also a v good price although almost sold out. It's amazing quality stuff.

Got these DC figures too, either for ds1 or for present cupboard.

Very good price on Horrible Histories boxset, far cheaper than amazon.

They also had some Sass & Belle 3 mini suitcase sets for £9.99 which seemed a good price. Managed to resist those!

trancepants · 08/08/2018 10:33

SwishyHairMummy I find TKMaxx excellent for quirky kids books, usually at pretty good prices compared to bookshops.

Oh I’m so glad Polly pockets are coming back! I had saved all of mine from when I was younger, and dh threw them all out doing a declutter - still haven’t forgiven him!

Dd3 would probably want a biggie pets too, smyths 20% off was only in store last year which was mildly annoying but hopefully I’ll manage to get to it this year. Dd3 has also recently become obsessed with Disney descendants but I’m holding off on buying anything as I’m not sure how long this craze will last.

Dh wants to get all our girls phones this year, I agree with the older 2 but think dd3 is a bit young yet. He doesn’t want her feeling left out, so I’ll need to have a good think about that one.

Smellybears · 08/08/2018 10:51

Just picked these up in Asda. Should be £15 each, reduced to only £5 each Grin

I'm not sure who the poster was on the old thread but Hobbycraft have the cardboard colour in house, castle, rocket, shop and stage all for £8.50 linky

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2018 11:11

It was me, I got one at the weekend, thank you!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 08/08/2018 11:36

@SheStoodInTheStorm, the Polly Pocket set is described as a Shopping Mall but the whole top part opens up to be a cinema, complete with popcorn machine, which my DD will adore!

(Bit weirded out by the Segway things but I'm quite old so perhaps they really are the latest thing to ride when you shopGrin)

itsBritneyBeach · 08/08/2018 11:50

This was around a few weeks ago now, but Poundworld was closing down and had loads of Christmas stuff on sale.

Got all this lot for a total of £4.50!

Two Christmas Eve boxes, four candles, some crackers, straws and mini cups for Christmas parties.

I also got a massive bag which is now in the loft but I got gingerbread men LED lights, lots of crafty bits, stockings etc Grin so worth a look if one near you!

I lurked on the bargain threads last year but hoping to contribute this year. I'm determined to have a bargainous Christmas!

Thanks so far for the Magpie and Waterstones tips, I've bought some great gifts from both. I also discovered Bargain Max last night and got some great toys for DS cheaper than elsewhere.

Looking forward to more shopping and eye rolling from DH! 🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2018 13:24

Costco is selling £100 of Build a Bear vouchers for £69.99 right now. Seems like a good buy if you've loads of bears etc to get!

Clarabella72 · 08/08/2018 14:21

OhHolyFuck · 08/08/2018 14:37

Also looking for stockings specifically one with a robin on if anyone sees one?

Alanamackree · 08/08/2018 14:44

Swishy I find TkMaxx ok for bargains but I generally get better book bargains with the book people (especially if I hang on for a 20% off deal)

cocobean26 · 08/08/2018 14:52

This is my third year in the Christmas bargain thread and I love it. Got lots of bargains last year, in fact still get Red magazine from 2 years ago & Good Housekeeping from last year. Hoping to be able to contribute more bargains this year.

@Smellybears, these and these are in my Etsy pondering pile right now. They're not loudly Christmassy but the rest of our stuff is super lairy so I'm kind of loving them as a contrast!

(Actually I think I have half the Font Not Found stock range somewhere in my saved list right now and I'm not entirely sure who it's all for. But it's soooo funkyConfused)
