A rubbish thread title but, well, it's 19 now!

20 days until Christmas, I'm imagining us all wrapping late at night like little festive elves readying ourselves for how excited everyone will be with their bargainous presents.

Any referral links to go on this separate thread please

Toffeelatte Joules do boot slippers and they do them in 'boys' colours. They also have the eBay outlet or their website often has discounts. Alternatively some of the department stores stock them so they could be changed if given with a gift receipt. My 9 year old was coveting my £60 sheepskin ones and was bought off very happily with the cheaper joules ones. I find boot slippers less precarious and very comfy (Just sheepskin but not the right price bracket).

Catanddogmake6 · 16/12/2017 18:57

Another one agreeing try the bigger hoody size. There's not a huge amount of difference between 11/12 and 13/14 and a hoody really doesn't matter if slightly sloppy. My 9 year old has been in 11/12 for a good year. Certain brands come up small anyway. Plus it's Amazon. Worse case send it back.

IHeartKingThistle · 16/12/2017 19:07

And hoodies shrink in the wash!

Kraggle · 16/12/2017 19:27

I’m going real life shopping tomorrow (with my 4 year old, 9 month old and dh. Crazy I know!) what’s the best high street place for men’s pjs can anyone recommend?

Toffeelatteplease · 16/12/2017 19:30

It's his joules slippers he's just gone flying in recently!!! They're really gorgeous but his have flat leather sole which he slipped on. He needs a proper non slip sole I think

Lego batman is bargainous on tesco direct

sepsisandAKI · 16/12/2017 20:57

Thanks reastie bit the bullet and bought some from amazon for £22 before I'd seen your reply! Free returns so no dramas if they're no good.
Oxfam have half price charity gifts online if anyone is looking for a bargain goat!
We've just twinned a toilet, sounds odd but for a donation a toilet is built where there is no sanitation. Not through Oxfam though.

Payfrozen · 16/12/2017 21:42

Have ordered a Nintendo switch from Tesco click and collect
The offer was switch with free Mario/rabbids game £279
I added a Zelda call of the wild and the offers stacked and it took £18 off as well
So £309 for switch and the 2 games.

Which seems reasonable?

Does anyone still need a Fingerling? After panic ordering several, I find myself with a spare - it’s “Zoe”, the turquoise one. Bought from WowWee via Amazon so genuine. If anyone is still after one, I would be happy to sell it for the £14.99 I paid, plus postage. I can post Monday so should be no prob arriving in time for Xmas (assuming buyer is in the UK same as me!) PM me of interested Smile

Oh gosh, I was so so so completely done but then my 3 1/2 year old found my santa present stash Shock Sad. They're going to now have to be from me... apparently he wants an "aeroplane and a racing car" from santa. Are the hot wheels tracks awful? I was thinking maybe the junior scalextric but again I can't see if they're any good!

Carrie76 · 16/12/2017 22:51

My two boys love the hot wheels track, we’ve had one for 3 years gets pulled out regularly and still going strong

snowbellina · 16/12/2017 23:39

Hot wheels tracks are great - my Ds and dd love making big tracks and ramps together.
We've had bad experiences with scalextric tracks not working well at all.

Frazzled74 · 16/12/2017 23:46

Does anybody want the playmobil Roman arena for the £15 I paid plus postage? Before I take it back to Argos. Pm me if you do.

GruffaloPants · 17/12/2017 01:24

@WeAreEternal another hoodie option here: www.scruffyswanks.co.uk/ready-to-ship/
Not cheap, though!

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2017 07:05

Argghh. Twitched on Lego Batman for DS. He's 3, and it's for age 7+, but he's ace at Lego and has been asking every Santa he's seen for Batman Lego.

So, DD is going to have 2 Fingerlings and then they'll have the same amount of presents. Is it worth having 2 Fingerlings?!

Bloody children! Xmas Grin

RockySpeed · 17/12/2017 08:46

@Wenchelda am I too late to buy your fingerling? I can’t figure out how to pm you! Smile

OhOurBilly · 17/12/2017 08:47

wenchelda I will happily take the fingerling off your hands if it's still available.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 17/12/2017 08:56

Thatsmysanta - my 7yr old has had Lego since 3 and been fine and now dfoes the huge sets by himself so sure your son will be fine ☺

Wenchelda · 17/12/2017 08:58

@RockySpeed - another poster messaged me very early this morning about the Fingerling ... I’ve sent her postage costs etc but not heard back yet. If for any reason she doesn’t want it, then I’ll let you know Smile

@OhOurBilly - I think RockySpeed just beat you to it with the message about the fingerling, sorry. Wish I had more to go around everyone still trying to get one Xmas Sad

snowbellina · 17/12/2017 09:02

WeAreEternal I would definitely get your Ds a 12-13 hoody (unless he is very small?) My Ds is 10 and wears all size 12-13 now as that way I know it will last him good while!

OrangeCactus · 17/12/2017 10:02

Lol Pets expected in stock at Smyths between 20-23 Dec

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2017 11:06

@eastmids, he's actually surprisingly good for a small person at following the detailed instructions with the Lego City stuff. When he wants. He often likes to freestyle! Xmas Grin

He is getting a ton of Lego for Christmas, as is 4yo DD. 2018 will be the year of standing / kneeling on Lego in our house! 😂

hashtagelfie · 17/12/2017 12:28

I was done, then we saw Santa yesterday and two dc asked for things they have never mentioned on previous lists. Why do they do that to me???

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2017 12:46

I've just told DD that if something wasn't on her first list she probably won't get it from Santa as he's not had time to buy more!

RJnomore1 · 17/12/2017 12:47

Ok sudden need for a present for an "edgy" 13 yo girl (which I take to mean not lip gloss or unicorns) for up to £5. Preferably something I can buy in B and M bargains.

Apart from that, I have photo paper for dd2s instax to collect from currys using my £10 voucher and I am DONE.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2017 13:51

I've offered a turquoise Fingerling to @RockySpeed. If she doesn't want it does anyone else?
