A rubbish thread title but, well, it's 19 now!

20 days until Christmas, I'm imagining us all wrapping late at night like little festive elves readying ourselves for how excited everyone will be with their bargainous presents.

Any referral links to go on this separate thread please

Just return it, costs about £3 although you should have just refused delivery and they would have taken it back for free.
Then reorder.

CannotEvenThink · 14/12/2017 10:57

That's shit from Amazon, I had fab service the other week, the packaging from a present was damaged so they refunded, told me I didn't need to send it back and said if I did decide to reorder then to choose express/next day delivery and to contact them with the order number and they would take the shipping costs off.

PlaymobilPirate · 14/12/2017 11:10

Apparently she's raising a complaintbon my behalf which I'm not allowed to be part of, nor will I find out the outcome... but they are definitely not refunding the £20!

Bearbehind · 14/12/2017 11:23

I don't really see what you can complain about; the item was reduced after you ordered it.

You have the option of sending the original back and reordering at the lower price which would still save about £16.

totallyLosingIt · 14/12/2017 11:31

I can kind of understand Amazon taking this stance now. Otherwise they would have people buying up stock pre-Black Friday and then contacting them to claim a price difference refund.
Through Amazon returns you can return to one of their lockers at a time to suit you (we have one in our local Morrison's), or you could have them collect it from you. So hopefully one of those would suit you even if you are quite busy at the minute? It may even be free returns as some items are eligible for that.

Theonlyoneiknow · 14/12/2017 11:49

Thank you for that sylvanian bargain @ivegotalovelybunchofcoconuts !

bigarse1 · 14/12/2017 11:55

regarding amazon I had an argument with them last night about a huge xmas light which didn't work and I couldn't return as it was huge. according to them they don't collect anything from you and it is up to you to return it, even if it is faulty. I ended up asking for a manager and it finally got sorted today but when I asked who I could complain to I got told there wasn't a complaints department

PlaymobilPirate · 14/12/2017 11:59

I agree it was reduced after i ordered it... it was before i received it though (prime 1 day delivery) it's just such a daff returning and re ordering when they could just refund and save on admin on both sides ☹

Does anyone have any recommendations for small presents I can get for the two lollipop men on the way to school and dds dance teacher? Would a box of biscuits be ok for each you think? First year at school/first year of dance and not sure of the etiquette!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 14/12/2017 16:09

Kraggle I'm sure that lollipop men would be happy with anything, they are often the forgotten members of staff. Something small probably best though for logistical reasons (unless you see them on way back when they are nearly finished)

Biscuits great for dance teacher

Hippobottymus · 14/12/2017 16:31

Just won an LOL doll from The Bentall's Centre, DD will be very excited as I refuse to buy them usually Grin
