A rubbish thread title but, well, it's 19 now!

20 days until Christmas, I'm imagining us all wrapping late at night like little festive elves readying ourselves for how excited everyone will be with their bargainous presents.

Any referral links to go on this separate thread please

I was almost tempted by the Echo Dot but it’s no good unless you already have it as they’re out of stock of the Alexa voice remote Hmm

uptheduffy · 11/12/2017 12:43

You don't need the remote to use the dot, though.

Dozyoldtwonk · 11/12/2017 12:43

Thank you everyone for your suggestions - I’m real life shopping today with no DC Smile so I’m going in for the kill…will definitely check out TK Maxx & Debenhams.

Love this thread.

uptheduffy · 11/12/2017 12:53

Just popped on for five minutes and have now bought a sherpa from Costco Xmas Blush

OhHolyFuck · 11/12/2017 12:56

Character.com have 50% off quite a bit of stock with the code SANTA, good for pjs/dressing gowns/tshirt etc p

AdamBarlowsQuiff · 11/12/2017 13:06

You can get 40% off at Body Shop with the code 38911. Running until 21st Dec online and 20th instore. Free postage when you spend a fiver! I really can't afford anything else!!

Taffeta · 11/12/2017 13:12

Sorry to be thick but how does the dot work without Alexa voice recognition?

Taffeta · 11/12/2017 13:16

Can you still use Alexa without the remote? I’m not sure what the remote is for in that case? Is it if you’re in another room or something?

I’m trying to understand if I can buy just one dot and it’ll work properly on its own?

RosieBdy · 11/12/2017 13:18

Tesco have a pack of 28 sharpies for £6. Online and in store. Saw on HUKD and managed to pick up a pack in store today. Still showed full price on ticket, but scanned at correct price.

yellowsun · 11/12/2017 13:39

No idea what the remote does but the Alexa works just fine with the dot - you don’t need anything else!

PiePieChickenPie · 11/12/2017 13:40

lifelongfrugaleer we have the Wilko Blox baseplates and they work perfectly with the real Lego bricks - great value too Smile

AdamBarlowsQuiff · 11/12/2017 13:40

Yes you definitely don't need a remote for the amazon dot. The voice recognition is built in. You're good to go with just one dot.

tiggersdontlikehoney · 11/12/2017 14:00

Been in Debenhams today, loads of clothes and shoes on sale already. Anyone with teens there were some good deals in Miss Selfridge and such good quality basic t-shirts for £5 (said £10 with 30% off on tag, scanned as £5 at till), bits of jewellery on offer.. and I picked up some lovely Dune ruched velvety boots for £23 - bargain! Xmas Smile

bunbunny · 11/12/2017 15:03

Wilkos also have massive packs of 50 minifigures for £10 instead of £15 - great for supplementing plain bricks or other sets if you have dc that like playing with the characters. Seem to remember it is a real mix of characters.

Taffeta · 11/12/2017 15:06

Many thanks!!!

justkeeponsmiling · 11/12/2017 15:16

Has anybody seen adidas superstar trainers for women with gold or silver stripes on offer anywhere by any chance? DD really wants a pair for Xmas but they are £80 everywhere I looked, sooo expensive!

Scoleah · 11/12/2017 15:37

@justkeeponsmiling if you've purchased from Adidas website this year they send an email out this morning with £20 off £50 spend; worth checking!

justkeeponsmiling · 11/12/2017 15:47

Scoleah sadly I never have but thanks anyway

Scoleah · 11/12/2017 15:51

Have PMd you @justkeeponsmiling Xmas Grin

Freezingwinter · 11/12/2017 15:55

Does anyone know if little live pets or fur real pets are any good? Ds wants a cat!!

CannotEvenThink · 11/12/2017 16:05

@londonpia if you are still looking at remote control/ robot type things have s look at this little guy
He is brilliant. You can get him to read bar codes and do stuff like avoid objects or track lines, can program him to use a tv remote as a remote control and you can also download an app to write your own code for him. He is in your budget and he has Lego dimples on top so you can build him into whatever you want.

Thanks piepie

honeyandginger48 · 11/12/2017 17:26

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before.... but is there a way of stacking codes on the Benefit website? I want both money off AND a free gift but only space for one code as far as I can make out....

fandangley · 11/12/2017 18:13

I have a lakeland £5 off £30 if anyone is still looking for one. I will pm to whoever asks for it first on this thread

Silvertap · 11/12/2017 18:37
