A rubbish thread title but, well, it's 19 now!

20 days until Christmas, I'm imagining us all wrapping late at night like little festive elves readying ourselves for how excited everyone will be with their bargainous presents.

Any referral links to go on this separate thread please

kraggle was going to suggest as PP have done, what about the school office?

Pumpkintopf · 07/12/2017 13:01

@bunbunny not at all, sounds like they’ll be here soon and from what you and @DillieDoily said they’ll be worth waiting for! (I’m only just getting round to writing cards anyway, really behind this year..!)

butterflymum · 07/12/2017 13:03

@mrsdiddlydoo not sure which offer you used, but I recently used their '£6 bonus for £30 gift card purchase.

The bonus took just over 24hrs to appear on my account, however, I had a basket sitting with three items and one of those, which had consistently been c£7 or £8 mark for about a year (checked on camelcamel), suddenly increased to c£18 just before the bonus was credited. As you can imagine, I was not best pleased.

If anyone still needs to buy (substantially!) from L’Occitane, here is a code for £10 off £60 spend or £20 off £100 spend. Looks like it may only be single use -

mrsdiddlydoo · 07/12/2017 13:46

I think I've done 2 butterfly. One for £5 by topping up my balance by 50. That credit's appeared now, and the one for £6...which I did first but no sign. I'll wait longer before panicking I did something wrong!

BeaLola · 07/12/2017 13:55

re Whistlefish - sorry you've had a problem - I ve used them for years and have never had a problem & subscriber discounts are good.

ok -I'm thinking of buying a laser projector for outside - only thing is I would like one that does white snow/light effect & wonder if any MN have one they can recommend & if its bargainous even better !

Coldilox · 07/12/2017 14:19

I'm so behind!!

Am done for DS, but keep twitching.

Need small bits for DW, have no inspiration at all.

Mum I have got a handbag and a candle, need a couple more bits.

Dad and stepmum have no ideas, they are well off so just buy themselves whatever they want.

Have one niece sorted butbstuck for the other. 15, sporty, not very girly.

Sister. Expensive taste, has a ludicrously rich boyfriend so gets bought whatever she wants.

Notso · 07/12/2017 14:26

Any ideas about where I could find plain cardboard boxes like a happy meal container but a lot bigger for some 'just add...' hampers I'm planning on doing. Someone recommended them on a Facebook group months ago and now I can't find them.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 07/12/2017 14:28

@Reastie it wouldn't work on the app then I locked the password and the reset never came thru and I got the rage at it.
But when I did eventually get on the offer was still there. Plus there's free electricity, boiler checks and appliance cover!

Reastie · 07/12/2017 14:37

Girl Blush I was talking about the playmobil advent not the hive

CoffeeAndEnnui · 07/12/2017 14:44

@Notso, I found boxes like that on Amazon in the past when I've needed them for party food.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 07/12/2017 14:47

Searching "party food boxes" brought up some options.

Gooseysgirl · 07/12/2017 14:53

Playmobil Summer Fun Splish Splash cafe lowest ever on Amazon according to CCC. £13.08!

macnab · 07/12/2017 15:48

I'm looking for a nightlight but it's for an 11 yr old boy so don't want anything too babyish. I also don't really want to get something too garish either! I guess I'm looking for a novelty shaped nightlight, but no huge bells/whistles.

If anyone could suggest something I'd be so grateful! I just don't have the time patience to trawl through the thousands of options on Amazon!

macnab · 07/12/2017 16:27

Oh that's perfect Ihopeyoudance thank you so much!

SomethingOfTheNight · 07/12/2017 16:30

Many thanks Taffeta & Honey. Your help is much appreciated Flowers

HoneyDragon · 07/12/2017 16:49

Macnab....what about a smart bulb with a remote control?

www.bmstores.co.uk/products/optimum-led-colour-changing-light-bulb-e27-305825

No babyish at all he can leave it on the dimmest setting and no worries about batteries.

The colour changing features and stuff is just an added bonus as it’s xmas and his mates will think he’s cool Grin

imsorryiasked · 07/12/2017 17:14

If something is out of stock with toysrus (not fingerlings!) is there any chance of it appearing in store when it doesn't show as available for collection online?
My dsis has just decided to try and buy the thing I suggested a month ago when it was available everywhere

DillieDoily · 07/12/2017 18:23

Lego Juniors Mia’s Farm suitcase is reduced to £9.42 on amazon here

I need to stop twitching!

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 07/12/2017 18:24

@RJnomore what was the lalaland stuff like? I hope its worth waiting for, 3 emails and 10 days later mine still isn't here...and as I've had no response about adding am item to the order I'm going to have to look for more teacher presents...

DumbledoresArmy · 07/12/2017 18:35

Anyone had a Thornton's hamper?
Thinking of buying 1.
Are they worth it?

WhyamIBoredathome · 07/12/2017 18:53

I have a sick child again. So my cunning plan to try and buy my parents prezzies today has failed.
Anyone with bright ideas for Dads?
Late 60s, no hobbies (working 2 more years before retirement). Has plenty of money so just buys what he wants, when he wants it.
Books and CDS are difficult as he literally has thousands but they're all in his weekday house up north and I've not seen the collection for years to know what he's got or not. He doesn't like clutter and my mum always gets him whisky and his fave chocs so those are out. He hates other people buying him clothes.
I'm so stuck Sad

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/12/2017 19:00

whyam would he go on a whisky tasting class?
