Can I ask a dot/alexa etc question..? We dont have broadband because we live rurally, only 4g on our phones (20gb between us) and another 50gb per month on a 4g mifi thing...we rarely use it all up and do download and stream a fair bit..just eobdering if theres any point getting one for us? I'd like it for the mornings, askibg about traffic, playing music, etc. Byt just dont know how much internets it uses...(what we call it in our house!)

(Tries not to cause a row) Could I just advise people against buying 'diabetic' food as gifts. They are sweetened with alcohol sugars which can cause blood sugar problems hours after they were eaten and can have erm ....unfortunate digestive side effects too. Diabetes clinics and diabetes UK advise strongly against using them. I know it doesn't help you Haud but a small box of more expensive good quality chocs would be a much better gift.

The Meri Meri Nutcracker advent calendar (makes a charm bracelet) is the cheapest I've ever seen it on Amazon right now. £9.99 delivered with Prime. We've gifted this several times to littler girls and it's always a hit.

There are repeats of a few of the charms but our DD (now 6) had the calendar when she was 4 and still treasures the bracelet. She also kept the box for her jewellery. Which is a pity because I kind of wanted it too...

@ecofreckle Pact Coffee are doing an offer of an aeropress for £14 instead of £28 if you subscribe to their coffee delivery. The cheapest subscription is £6.95 and you don't seem to be tied in and can also choose quite a long time between your deliveries. Someone mentioned it further up and I ordered one last night. Now keeping debit card next to bed - a dangerous business.
