My Woolovers jumpers came today too and I am super impressed - true to size and they look like really good quality.
GAP order has also been despatched.

I am struggling a bit with what to get my boyfriend as all I can think of is clothes! I need a "big" item.

Also need stocking fillers for 10 year old DS. This year is getting tricky, he's really not into toys at all any more Sad I really want to get him a soap on a rope (bit of a tradition!) but I can't find one anywhere that he's not had before without spending silly money. If anyone spots one for less than £5 that is not Minions, Darth Vader or Hulk, I would really appreciate a heads up!

Llamacorn · 23/11/2017 14:58

@itoldyou has he had Spider-Man before? here

Disney store do a storm trooper one for a fiver as well.

thetimeisnow · 23/11/2017 14:59

Thank you aura for the Smiggle delivery code, I've been hanging on buying my ds the calendar and this makes it less painful!

Llamacorn · 23/11/2017 15:00

Or if he's that bit older boots have a jack wills men's one and I'm pretty sure a ted baker one too.

I did see studio had a 'wash your nuts' one which did make me giggle, but perhaps not suitable for a 10 year old Grin

AlbusPercival · 23/11/2017 15:03

I had forgotten DS!

I need something for DH from him. He's 1 so can't help.

Budget £10 - £20

Any ideas?

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 23/11/2017 15:07

Albus I’ve previously got dh a personalised mug from the dc from Big Tomato Company. Really lovely quality.

AceyMcLaughlin · 23/11/2017 15:10

I have 4 white company codes for 15% off and free delivery on orders £50 and more if anyone would like one. Also two 10% off codes for Qwerkity :)

OwlBeBack · 23/11/2017 15:11

@feebeemee thank you so much for that wrestling post. Got a load of bargains for my wrestling mad DS. Smile

Allshapesandsizes · 23/11/2017 15:39

honey dragon I wouldn't worry, I watched the cookie jar incident from the sidelines and no one came of it looking good tbh.

A lot of horribleness on both sides.

Glad we haven't experienced that this year.

Spreads peace and joy throughout thread

totallyLosingIt · 23/11/2017 15:40

I believe I may have a Lakeland £5 off £30 spend voucher in the recycling too... if anyone wants it then give me a shout and I'll try to dig it out!

totallyLosingIt · 23/11/2017 15:42

Also, someone was looking for gin miniatures I believe? I saw in store today that ASDA have a 'mini bar' section in amongst their full size spirits. It included 3 different gins at £3 each.
They also sell small cans of Fever Tree in multipacks which could go well in the hamper.
Sorry, I can't remember who was asking!

Allshapesandsizes · 23/11/2017 15:43

Yes please to the Lakeland code, I have PM'd you totallyLosingIt

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 23/11/2017 15:50

Thanks Llama! I can't see either of those on Boots site but the Storm Trooper one should do the trick!

PerfumeIsAMessage · 23/11/2017 15:53

What was totally weird was that CookieJar woman came back to berate everyone the following year as well. I'm sure the original incident was the year of YellowHat having the thread baby? (I was DrankSangria I think back then)

totallyLosingIt · 23/11/2017 15:55

PM'd you back @Allshapesandsizes

BillWagglestaff · 23/11/2017 15:58

Does anyone have any tips on where I might get a workbench at a good price? I think the Black and Decker dualmate is the favourite but any that are similar really. This is totally not my optimum shopping area so feel a bit out of my depth!

Changingagain · 23/11/2017 16:08

Albus Ds was one last year. For gifts from him, I got cheap cardboard cake boxes which have a clear plastic window in them. We then did some handprint and footprint pictures with cheesy slogans on to stick behind the window, and filled them with the recipients favourite chocolate bars and sweets. Worked out at about £10 each but it obviously depends on the contents! Tbh dh didn't really get it but I know my dm still uses her box for storing papers on her side table.

We also did the photo mug from photobox, but for fathers day.

Spiderpants · 23/11/2017 16:10

does any one have a Google home mini??? would it help me remember appointments? my memory is useless

FrequentFuss · 23/11/2017 16:11

Can I be next in line for a Lakeland code please

ShiftyMcGifty · 23/11/2017 16:11

Word of warning on Selfridges- this year, I noticed the bastards raised prices on their speakers - their prices matched with John Lewis’ a week back and today they all appeared to be... how much higher? Drumroll... at least 20% higher. Do compare before you buy.

RJnomore1 · 23/11/2017 16:20

I've just tried to order from selfridges and it's booting me out.

I don't need boots and urban decay palettes.

I need someone to take my cards from me tbh

WhyamIBoredathome · 23/11/2017 16:25

I went Rl shopping today, got some bargain Just Sheepskin slippers in tkmaxx for 25 for OH. Normally double that so very happy. Also got him some very reduced luxury socks for his stocking, got some stocking fillers in home bargains and shared my free John Lewis cake with DD.
Very pleased with myself, just waiting until tomorrow before ordering whisky and a scooter in case of any amazing offers.

SockEatingMonster · 23/11/2017 16:30

I have been sent a unique 5% off code for Chaos Cards. It's not a huge discount, and is only valid on full-priced items, but they are often the cheapest or only way to buy certain trading cards (Pokemon, etc), so worth using if it was something you were going to buy anyway.

PM me if you want it.

loveliesbleeding1 · 23/11/2017 16:31

Billwagglestaff Argos had £10 off the dual last week, not sure if that's still the case.It went down to £59.99.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 23/11/2017 16:37

RJ- Debenhams kept doing that to me the other day. Took my business elsewhere in the end. Humph.
