What about a weekend bag for the mum that knits and travels. Sorry can't remember the poster.

trixymalixy · 14/11/2017 13:17

@CatLadyInTraining thanks so much for the code!

werewolfhowls · 14/11/2017 13:19

I managed to order a link fingerling on Amazon the other day when they set them up for pre-order (stock due 27th Nov) and I've just received an email saying it will be delivered early on 16th instead of 28th so they must be in stock already. Just a wee word of hope for those still waiting

Jedbartletforpresident · 14/11/2017 13:27

pink fingerling - not link obviously!

Rockhopper81 · 14/11/2017 13:30

The poster asking about missing mini figures from Lego sets - you can try getting in touch with Lego (they have an option to buy/replace individual bricks on the website), but they don’t do it with mini figures generally. It’s worth trying, but I wouldn’t pin my hopes on it. You could try Bricklink, but I’m not sure of prices on mini figures on there.

Lego advent calendars are sometimes reduced on December 1st - I’ve bought from Argos on December 1st before - but you need to be really on the ball in my experience, as they sell out fast at the reduced prices.

PrettyFlyForATightGuy · 14/11/2017 13:34

Did someone have a code for The Entertainer or have I completely made that up? I think I'm starting to imagine offers everywhere!

CarrotVan · 14/11/2017 13:39

@married I have a Christmas birthday and find ideas for me really hard!

Some things that I'd appreciate:

  • gift vouchers for the hairdresser
  • really nice skincare stuff
  • vouchers for John Lewis
  • good quality bedding
  • vouchers for places like TK Maxx so I can get a new bag, shoes or whatever when I need it
  • original artwork
  • jewellery
  • pyjamas
  • silk dressing gown
  • personal yoga teaching
WhyamIBoredathome · 14/11/2017 13:40

@allhallowseve it's probably worth checking an other lidl, I went into one last night that still had tons of wooden toys left.

WhyamIBoredathome · 14/11/2017 13:40

What age of kids play with marble runs? I like the idea for my DS but he's just turning 4 so not sure if he's a bit little still?

LikeSilver · 14/11/2017 13:43

@TimeForMy10thCuppa a subscription to a craft magazine or tickets to the national craft show?

theftbyfinding · 14/11/2017 14:01

I have a £10 off £30 spend Boden Voucher if anyone wants it. PM me for code.

tiggersdontlikehoney · 14/11/2017 14:08

I got marble run for my DD(3) last xmas, she finds it hard to construct I have to do that, but loves it once set up, we got extra marbles. Not a quiet toy!

Treysanatomy · 14/11/2017 14:11

Amazon France have purple fingerlings in stock, delivery 18-20 Nov

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 14/11/2017 14:11

I’ve just had my blippo delivery after my slight panic at the weekend! Looks good.

How typical of my DH, I asked him if there was anything he fancied for Christmas and he said, ‘yes, I like that upcycled lamp made from a toy crane we saw at the antiques fair last weekend’
‘Did you make a note of the company’
‘Oh no’
‘Gee thanks dearest

I’ve googled and found a company in Brighton that do then but wasn’t them. I’m in south east uk. I’ve tweeted antiques fair organisers but no reply yet. Any ideas?

I’ve had a google

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 14/11/2017 14:14

Looks a bit like this - about £70 aparently

Impressed with the g&t in a box after mine arrived today.

Can’t remember the code I used but looks like GETSTARTED should work and make it £4.99 in total.

My OH has mentioned a few times that he is after a bike stand. Apparently it is like a tripod. I have just had a google and have no idea where to start. Can anyone recomend one? He mentioned one in aldi, but i havnt seen them and i go to aldi weekly. As bargainous as possible would be fab. Also if anyone knows anything about bikes and can suggest any little cheap bits he might like for his bike or whatever that would be super.

Thanka to the pp who suggested a craft magazine subscription, and craft fair tickets will pop them on the list to discuss with OH.

ThePurpleGirl · 14/11/2017 14:22

Last year I found out from these threads about the M&S biscuit tins that you could record a message on, and bought several for gifts. Does anyone know what the equivalent this year is? I’ve looked on their website but can’t find anything.

MrsCrimbo74 · 14/11/2017 14:25

NaturalBlondeYeahRight this website looks like what you could be after, if offers lots of quirky style lamps, might be worth e-mailing them and they are based in Maldon in Essex

Letty7 · 14/11/2017 14:33

Theftbyfinding- can i please have the boden code if its still available?

SockEatingMonster · 14/11/2017 14:36

@persisford I have a mum like yours, minus the knitting. An advent calendar went down really well I place of a present one year (and was a big surprise!) and she loved the silk dressing gown I bought her another year.

Reastie · 14/11/2017 14:40

Purple I didn't see anything like that in M&S when I went in last week, although it may be because they had lots of issues with it. I know mine were rubbish (as were the replacements!) and only worked when they felt like it!
