A big thanks to the posters regarding the missing Lego figures.
I emailed Lego a few days ago but heard nothing back but called them today (didn't realise you could!)
The ones I need aren't in circulation anymore but they're were so helpful & are sending them to me from Denmark.
One little girl going to be very happy.

Sairelou · 14/11/2017 14:44

Thank you ItStarted for the Fisher-Price food truck code! I definitely wasn’t going to pay £85 for it!

PumpyMcPumpy · 14/11/2017 14:47

Still looking for a Lakeland code!

CarrotVan · 14/11/2017 14:52

@persis could you do a portfolio gift? So if she has four grand kids you could do something like:

  • baking with Jenny (recipe book, new bowl, cupcake cases, decorations, cookie cutters)
  • card making with Molly (card making stuff)
  • pampering with Rosie (nice hand cream, nail files, nail varnish, foot soak stuff)
  • dressing up with Lucas (silly dressing up stuff as a sort of joke gift)
  • games all together (a couple of games that everyone can play together)
  • each with a photo or card of/from said child

AND

  • recovering (a nice mug, posh chocolates, a gin festival box, a book)

WhyAmIBored

I bought my nephew the wooden marble run from Lidl for his 3rd birthday in January (it looks similar to the one from this year, but there were two different styles and I got them both half price, so it really was a bargain!) - anyway, it went down really, really well! His big brother help him set it up if he needs it (he’s fiercely independent), but he’s happy to try it himself.

I’m not sure how I’ll top it for his 4th birthday in a couple of months...Grin

@CarrotVan

I love that portfolio idea for grandparents, it sound awesome and something my Nan would have loved when us grandchildren were younger!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 14/11/2017 15:23

I have a decent number of M&S codes, PM if you would like one! Won’t be able to respond until this evening, but will, promise!

ShiftyMcGifty · 14/11/2017 15:36

Persis this is probably out of budget and something to save toward for next year but I thought I'd post it in case anyone else is looking for a special personalised giftz

I read about this shop Tasarim Takarim
in Istanbul in the Metro newspaper last year - they take your children's drawing and turn it into silver pendants, keychains, etc.

I had a silver keychain made and it was stunning. Made Daddy cry and the kids were so proud of their gift. Came via FedEx (who also tried to unsuccessfully claim a £12 admin fee in addition to the small duty fee) and it think they did it in about 3 weeks start to finish.

Liz Earle has 15% off for new customers and free standard delivery till midnight tonight. (Just got the large cleanse and polish for £13.60 including delivery.)

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 14/11/2017 15:48

Had to pop out to do some real life shopping toady - a few things I noticed:
Home Bargains
-Mermaid tail blankets £10.99 for a nice subtle grey knit one, a bit more (£12.99 IIRC) for the brightly coloured ones. Adult size
-lots of unicorn stuff
-fidget cubes in a box 59p
-the light-up keyrings that someone linked to earlier are great for 39p (they had them by the tills) - ideal for a cracker gift

livinginhope87 · 14/11/2017 15:52

Bobbi brown have a spin and win game on the website. You have a chance to win a discount, mini gift or full size product. You have three gos (or as many as you like if you search on incognito). Not sure I have explained it very well sorry.

Dancer123456 · 14/11/2017 16:07

If anyone finds a code for the following - please let me know!

Ted Baker
Ralph Lauren
House of Fraser
Quiksilver

Fingers crossed I can finish off the Christmas shopping!

OutnumberedbyFurchesters · 14/11/2017 16:15

Can't believe it's page 9 of the new thread before I'm placemarking. The last one pretty much passed me by!

DillieDoily · 14/11/2017 16:18

@feebeemee thank you, that’s really helpful

wornoutboots · 14/11/2017 16:21

wow I think I missed thread 14 completely!

macnab · 14/11/2017 16:28

Shameless asking for a discount code for monsoon please.

I've spotted the perfect dress for my DD but it's a bit over my budget. Not sure if there even are codes for Monsoon, but if anyone hears of one I'd be so grateful.

RoaringForties · 14/11/2017 16:30

Timeformy10thcuppa A bike dominated house here, Chain reaction will be your friend and they always have good deals.
The bike stands are fab, they come up in lidl too sometimes but anywhere else they are really expensive. It might be worth checking eBay maybe. For other bike related presents you can't go wrong with a bottle of Mucoff, they quiet often do little kits. Maybe a small multi tool, they're fairly cheap and if you're pushing the boat out a bit further a pair of Sealskin socks.

Chocolateteabag · 14/11/2017 16:40

Oops - filled up the last thread and then forgot to post a message on here last night!

Someone was asking about the M&S advent calendars and whether they are ever put on sale - I have never seen them go on sale. The items inside are often in other Beauty boxes through the year so I reckon they repackage anything unsold?

Mrsmomo · 14/11/2017 16:42

Just found an m and s £5 off code, ends today, for food hall if anyone wants it?

luckiestgirl · 14/11/2017 16:46

Word of warning- the fingerling I bought on Amazon was fake. Advertised as real, said 'WowWee fingerling' and had good reviews.

Snooky17 · 14/11/2017 16:47

@macnab I can get you a 15% off discount for monsoon via student beans if that helps, pm me and I can get it did you

DubiousCredentials · 14/11/2017 17:08

This might be a daft question but how do you know if it’s a fake fingerling?

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 14/11/2017 17:10

Checking in. Can’t get gin code to work though - bugger

Jenni2legs · 14/11/2017 17:10

If anyone has Ocado Smartpass they have just sent me an email with a 50% off code and there are lots of £40 playmobile sets so they'd be £20. It's a personalised email link to the sale - so check your emails.
