What are everyone's thoughts on fake copies from ebay or amazon? DD13 desperate for some youtubers 'merch'. Trouble is that since it comes from the US I will have to pay postage and then VAT. Whereas ebay ones are less than half the price.

I’ve caved and ordered a pink fingerling for dd’s 4th birthday just before Christmas. She’s mentioned them a couple of times but not officially asked for one! Hopefully she will be pleased with it.

Treysanatomy · 13/11/2017 21:42

Thanks Llamacorn those giant surprise eggs look great!

The big LoL really doesn’t sound like much for the money, and if DD1 gets one DD2 will want one too so coming up with a fun way to package the individual dolls could be a good option.

Uptheduffy · 13/11/2017 21:48

Tumpy I have recently bought some from an eBay seller. I'm pretty happy with quality, ds is ecstatic and UK postage. If I cared more about the youtuber I would not buy from eBay but the person in question I don't think deserves any more money for what they do!

woodwaj · 13/11/2017 21:50

For the stranger things fan this is cool Eleven also for the person looking for t-shirts look on Google/ebay/Amazon for Gildan good sizing and loads of different designs.

Haudyerwheesht · 13/11/2017 21:51

Checking in.

Anyone any ideas for an eleven year old boy into football and PS4. Not allowed games which are too old for him. Has all the football shirts and balls he could ever need. Has Fifa . It's for ds but my sister needs ideas and he's a Christmas baby so ideas of things adding up to around £50 or one thing £50 or thereabouts?? I'm struggling!

Whyisitsodifficult · 13/11/2017 21:51

Does anyone have a discount code for Next?

Jedbartletforpresident · 13/11/2017 21:58

Forza is one of my DS (12) favourite games - he has an Xbox but I'm pretty sure it's available for PS4 too. Or there's another one he likes about skiing - "speed" maybe it's called? No I don't think that's right - I'll need to look it up.

DS this year is getting a chin up bar for his bedroom doorframe and some hand strengtheners - his sport is rock climbing so upper body/arm/finger strength are really important, but I think this is the age a lot of boys start getting into strength building as well as sport so something along those lines might work?

He'd also appreciate vouchers for some clothes stores so he could choose some of his own stuff - for him it would be Hollister/Zara/A&F but if those styles aren't your DS's what about a sports store or Superdry then he can start to choose some of his own things

Jedbartletforpresident · 13/11/2017 21:59

That message above was for Haudyerweesht btw

Jedbartletforpresident · 13/11/2017 22:00

Skiing game for the console is called "steep" I was nearly right!

NovemberBlues · 13/11/2017 22:05

Wow wee, please be careful there was a wowee website with dubious links no UK returns policy and people on here said it was fake website. Or, one made to look very authentic.

Taffeta · 13/11/2017 22:08

Haud - my DS was given a giant FIFA card for his birthday which he loved. They cost about £15

Tickyboovicki · 13/11/2017 22:09

Checking in! Thanks for the new thread, just two adult males left to buy for (always the awkward ones 🙄)

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 13/11/2017 22:11

Checking in. Only six weekends until Christmas!!!

tumpymummy · 13/11/2017 22:12

I second 'Steep' for teenage boys too. DS had it last year and has played it loads. Or what about playstation plus membership if he doesnt have that already? Costs £50 and lasts for a year, but each month they get a free game, plus extra benefits that DS assures me are worth it!

Helpotron3000 · 13/11/2017 22:15

I put my details into Vistaprint and now it's been loading for about 10 minutes. I don't want to refresh incase it charges me twice. This website is more trouble than its worth

Ginxed · 13/11/2017 22:20

Does anyone know if the M&S calendar is reduced near to Christmas? I desperately want one but I'm skint and happy to have it late if it'll be more bargainous!

Batbear · 13/11/2017 22:21

Thanks for the Stranger Things ideas - i'm off down a wormhole now! I've got 50% of my army of older DN's sorted.

Haudyerwheesht · 13/11/2017 22:23

Thanks everyone for the tips for ds - off to look at the games now! He's not into clothes at all because he's a bit funny about clothes being too tight / itchy / funny feeling but a voucher for sports direct might be ok. Off to look at Fifa card too. He gets ps plus membership from his uncle so that's covered. Thanks everyone!

wyldstile · 13/11/2017 22:26

Oooh I'm so behind this year, usually done by now thanks to you guys but have been avoiding you till now!

Shifty do you remember whether you went for the free postage on the American girl clothes from aliexpress? DD thinks she might want one (of the cheaper versions) but it will "need" accessories, apparently...

Nzou1050 · 13/11/2017 22:41

I’ve seen the usbourne lift the flaps books mentioned a few times - think they’re the see inside ones? What ages would these be good for?

Theimpossiblegirl · 13/11/2017 22:52

I missed a whole thread. :)
I got the Boots Star Gift Ted Baker set for my niece and it looks lovely- perfect for a 19 year old (although 16 year old DD now wants one too).
