What is singles day? I seem to be getting offers for it...

Feel unique have a flash sale on, decent offers, huile prodiguex for £12 for example. Might be nice for that SIL mentioned earlier?

CarrotVan · 12/11/2017 19:33

@balalala Have you looked at Rituals bath and skincare stuff? It's vaguely yoga themed and really nice. If you sign up to their newsletter (or try code taynaburr) you can get a free Yogi Flow shower foam so add some other things, a nice candle (for meditation) and some yoga socks and some yogi chai tea (Holland and Barrett sell it)

You could do a really nice hamper for £50

Squ1ggle · 12/11/2017 19:33

Those asking about the credit from the amazon beauty sample box, just buy anything under the beauty department and it automatically deducts £14.99 at checkout

SaDo12 · 12/11/2017 19:47

Does anyone know if Smyths are doing the spend £50 get £5 off deal before Christmas?
Thanks

Tacobella · 12/11/2017 19:57

Does anybody know if Boots will be doing another points day/weekend or if they will be sending out vouchers soon for triple points etc. soon? Will be gutted if I order and I miss out

margaritasbythesea · 12/11/2017 20:00

Feel Unique has a goodcreduction on Emma Hardy cleansing balm too.

I am still waiting for the glitch of the year for this year on these threads. Feeling nostalgic for gadget the robot anyone?

IHeartKingThistle · 12/11/2017 20:01

Thanks RJ, I realised I had a £5 voucher at ASOS who also do thisworks so that worked out cheaper!

I always forget the ASOS points stack up automatically - check your account, you may have a voucher!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 12/11/2017 20:01

@Balalalala try The Literary Gift Company for SIL. Everything they stock is rather fabulous but the socks are especially good this year!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/11/2017 20:02

@balalalala for £50 for someone who can buy most stuff already I’d get a v nice candle - probably Diptyque. It’s the sort of thing that’s pretty indulgent even if you do have cash to spare.

If she’s literary, perhaps tickets to a play she may like? Or to an exhibition? I think the Tate Britain has a Modigliani one in the schedule which I’m guessing which will very popular.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 12/11/2017 20:02

Oops, I mean @balalalala. See above for book lover pressies^

Wiifitmama · 12/11/2017 20:11

Oh gosh @coffeandenui - I just fell down the rabbit hole of that website. See you in a few hours!

balalalala · 12/11/2017 20:12

Some great ideas! Thanks!

Helpotron3000 · 12/11/2017 20:39

Singles day is 11.11, and it's the Chinese websites' version of Black Friday

santaisforlifenotjustforxmas · 12/11/2017 20:40

Trying out my christmas name change to ask if anyone has a lakeland code please?

CoffeeAndEnnui · 12/11/2017 20:42

Glad I'm not the only one, @Wiifitmama. I had to forcefully stop myself from buying a Bronte sisters cushion and several boxes of classic novel matches for our new house earlier when I pretended I was innocently Christmas shopping...

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 12/11/2017 20:47

.Iheart thanks for mentioning the asos £5 vouchers - I had £10 on it and no idea it existed!!!
Unfortunately another £10 had expired because I hadn’t used them in time. Very cheeky of Asos. But I got my £10 off and 1.80 discount code bringing a watch my daughter wanted to £5.70.

I'm struggling to find anything that qualifies for the amazon beauty credit.

PocoyoandEllie · 12/11/2017 21:07

For the PP who asked about M&S - next 20% off is this Thursday 16th

ChristmasCarol34 · 12/11/2017 21:11

Would love to give a Lakeland voucher a good home.

WhyamIBoredathome · 12/11/2017 21:23

Anyone flush enough to shop at Jo Malone and spend £120 you can get a free gift, enter FESTIVECHEER at checkout.

I'm having a terrible dilemma. My DS is getting a bike for Xmas. It's second hand because they are stupidly expensive new. Choice of 2 bikes one is £270 in the colour he says he wants, the other is £215 in a different colour.
I'm not sure if he only wants that particular colour because it happens to be the colour he tried out when we were testing for sizes though. He's 4 so he may have changed his mind by next week anyway, or he may throw a tantrum if santa brings the wrong colour bike.
WWYD?

Curiousgeorgey · 12/11/2017 21:28

symphony im struggling to spend the amazon credit too. Called them twice and they couldn't give me a definite way to determine what was a qualifying product. Just told me to keep trying different products.

I wanted to buy a uv nail polish lamp which is not included. The individual gel nail polishes are included so thought I'd buy a gift set if gel nail polishes however the sets aren't included.

Infuriating!

From what I can see it applies to aftershave and perfume so I may apply the discount to that but I wasn't 100% if I wanted to buy that as a gift yet.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 12/11/2017 21:30

Have I missed the EK ballot😿

Squ1ggle · 12/11/2017 21:31

Symphony I tried it with a mascara and with a perfume. Didn't actually check out as I was just testing and the discount got knocked off both times

Curiousgeorgey · 12/11/2017 21:36

Squ1ggle I've got a list of products that I want to buy as gifts that fall under the amazon beauty department, I filter buy amazon seller and yet most do not have the discount applied to them when I go to the checkout whilst some do, but all of the gifts that I actually know I want to buy don't have the discount applied at checkout.

Its so annoying especially as I bought the beauty box on the basis that I could get a discount on the beauty department and it seems thats not the case and amazon don't seem to have a clue.
