First, try an online chat with Amazon, they quite often refund the difference. If that fails, check if your order gets free returns. Order the cheaper one and then return the first order.

Woodwaj to hover boards actually exist? I thought they were fictional items from back to the future. My mind is blown!

@woodwaj I bought a hoverboard and kart from bluefin. They have great reviews and I did a good bit of research. Not cheap! But there CE approved and the kart accessory looks like great fun! I’m a bit excited about it to be honest! They also have a deal on to get a free kart with the board at the moment. But I might hold out until Black Friday if I were you.

Reastie they do indeed. DD1 had a hover board birthday party - (although tbf they don't actually hover - more like segways without the upright part). I was amazed how quickly they all learnt to do it. Sorry can't help with the brand they used though.

Curly I was going to say exactly what that Space article said (although less eloquently). DD1 also loves space. We bought the Celetron entry level portable one and whilst it does work it suffers from the problems listed. She is usually bored before my husband has set it up, stabilised it, managed to find anything. She is happier with binoculars. DH is angling for one of the very expensive ones that find things by themselves. 😳

Thanks both who advised to contact Amazon re price difference as I had read they no longer did this. They wouldn’t refund the difference however they did offer a £5 off next order as a good will gesture so I am happy with that. I think I would have to have paid to return so all in a satisfactory outcome.

RJ DD has just got herself a Switch. I looked for deals and didn't find any. Other than the Very new customer discount, but I didn't want to buy it from somewhere there might be issues with the warranty. So we paid full price from John Lewis for the 2 year guarantee. The UK Nintendo shop has 2 years too. We also decided not to wait until Black Friday in case they all became out of stock.

I bought 2 of our dds Segway/hover boards last year, we bought them from here as they were fully ce registered, uk head office and the only actual shop which you could go into too. (Not that the shop was anywhere near us, just made me feel better ) They also have a repairs centre and their customer service is brilliant.
The also occasionally have offers via groupon/wowcher (can't remember which)

Can I ask those of you who have swegways where you use them? Are they still illegal to use on pavements/parks etc? I would love one

I’ve just completed a futurelearn course by the Greenwich observatory and they recommended it for helping figure out where to look for the stars. It’s free on a PC.

I’ve not installed it yet, but it looks really useful. I’d also recommend looking out for learning resources from Greenwich.

Popped into our local Aldi this morning and they had loads of the advent calendars left. Very pleased to get a white one for my hallway. They also had their leaflet with the next couple of weeks special buys.
