Came on to post my 'bargains' and have been pipped to the post by others :) I can attest that the huge box of Sharpies from WHSmith is a fab buy. Gutted that I didn't go into a B&M while I had the chance to get the 50p pack.

Redtulip the nicest princess dresses I got for my DDs were from Sainsbury's - lovely quality and last really well. Even better if you can get one when there is 25% off. Matalan's are also worth a look. I found Asda ones a bit cheap looking.

I've just bought a ghost perfume bauble with a little perfume and lip gloss inside foe £8 off Amazon. They had the pink and blue one. Probably not a great deal coz I'm crap at this but they are lovely stocking fillers for younger girls or pre teens

Can I ask what the deal was on the sharpies? I've just bought a pack of 24 foe 8.99 off Amazon. Should I cancel it

One of the Sharpie offers was in the Tesco 3 for 2 but I think that's finished now.
W h Smith's sometimes have an offer of them so it might be worth checking there.

WHSmith have a nice 28 pack for £9.99. Only works out about a penny a pen cheaper but nicely packaged if that matters to you. Sold out online so probably only worth looking if you are passing a WHSmith this weekend anyway.

I am looking for a basic recipe book for dd aged 11, she’s just started year 7 and enjoying the cooking she’s doing at school.

I know she is younger but look at the student cook books. They assume little knowledge so talk you through it from beginning e.g. For potato wedges how big to cut them.

May be a few references to hangovers though so maybe flick through first.

Someone a few pages back (sorry, catching up on 19 pages!) asked about wrapping paper. M&S is al 3 x 2 and Paperchase has 30% off. I tend to get all mine from those two, and then tags and trimmings from China as they are way way cheaper and nicer.

For couples, what about a Whittards set- there are 3x2s and codes knocking around, lovely gift boxes too when they arrive, really nicely packaged.

I think the Sharpies for 50p/£1 must only be in a few stores.

I went to our nearest store yesterday, couldn't see any Sharpies with the usual stationery but then got all excited when I saw them on a small end shelf, but they had no price on. I took them to the checkout to get a price and they were £8.99

Prizepudding it is sometimes worth emailing customer services at amazon and they will refund the difference.

Theft my gift that should've been the blender arrived and in the box was a loose leaf tea strainer mug instead....I'm guessing they've run out of the blender or something but I'm v disappointed!

Thank you fraffle84 - kidizoom is back down to £29 now on amazon. Had no idea they’d change prices so frequently. After reading your tip I kept an eye this morning it went back to almost £50 so I’m pleased to have to for for £29. Just need to get the case now!
