She might like the Book with no Pictures.

fleshmarketclose · 30/10/2017 22:35

SH3L gets you free next day delivery at Debenhams

woodwaj · 30/10/2017 22:46

Blackandwhite does she have the jolly postman yet? I love it!

ja9r · 30/10/2017 23:01

Love the lush fidget spinner - thanks for the recommendation!

Ladydepp · 30/10/2017 23:25

Blackandwhite - and agreeing about Jolly Postman with woodwaj - there is also the Jolly Christmas postman, which is fabulous. The Ottoline books are beautiful and my dd loved them from age 7-9. Also Picasso's trousers...

Dolceandgabbana14 · 30/10/2017 23:29

Random question - are Tamagotchis still 'fashionable' for 5-8 year olds? Trying to think of stocking fillers!

Cloud Pets arrived today, they're much bigger than I thought they would be glad I ordered one for myself as well Blush

Any ideas for nice places to visit on the Isle of Wight that PIL might like? Nothing coming up on Groupon, Living Social etc and, although there is a gin distillery on the Island, they don't seem to do tours etc. They already have National Trust and English Heritage memberships.

OutnumberedbyFurchesters · 30/10/2017 23:57

For @christmasunicorn.

Sorry my internet conked out! T&cs show used until 31st so hope they work to get what you want, but sadly cant use together. Hope someone else can use the other one :) sorry if pics are sideways too! Blush

Just noticed on Amazon Prime that there is an option to select different delivery speeds. There was a tick box to say that you're happy with slower delivery and will accept a £3 Amazon Pantry voucher. I don't know if there is a minimum spend should have split my order into several smaller orders, then I'd be well on my way to a bottle of gin for free

Haudyerwheesht · 31/10/2017 01:17

@dolceandgabanna14 I'm not sure about minimum spend but you have to fill a whole big box with items when ordering from pantry I think. I've only had the pantry option once. Usually I get the amazon video etc £1 credit for no rush delivery.

TroubledTribble28 · 31/10/2017 01:26

I don't think you can stack the £3 Amazon Pantry credits. I needed toiletries so filled a box without unnecessary purchases but don't use the no rush option if you don't frequently use Pantry deliveries!

Allhallowseve · 31/10/2017 06:07

@closedauraopenmind thanks for the wizard of oz book tip my little boy is obsessed with this story at the moment . he's only 3 and we have been reading an old ladybird book charity shop find over an over I think he's going to love this version! Excited to see it !

GardenWorm · 31/10/2017 06:42

All hallows can you link to the wizard of oz book please? The other one doesn’t work for me.

On the same theme does anyone have any pop up book recommendations for 6 year old. I’m fussy though and want proper pop up not lift the flap (I remember having a monster island one as a kid and thinking it was amazing!) Thank you!

Reastie · 31/10/2017 06:47

Dolce I was going to suggest osbourne house but that's English heritage and they already have that. Do they have any special events on there that are paid for? Might be able to get them tickets for that.

linkie Crayola advent calendar is £14.99 on Amazon currently. According to camel camel camel it's been £19.99 always and forever previously!

christmasunicorn · 31/10/2017 07:05

Thank you so so much @OutnumberedbyFurchesters
We went to Disneyland last week and ds1 wanted to buy a chewbacca soft toy but the only one they had was 30€ and he only had 20€. Yet disneystore sell the exact same toy for £20 (and since the exchange rate is so diabolical £20 is pretty much 20€) so I promised I’ll order it when I get back for him. 20% off just means he still has a bit of change left over which will make his day. Smile

hashtagelfie · 31/10/2017 07:08

For prime I always try and select the no rush option. I’ve not used amazon pantry before but I do use the £1 credit on kindle books - and yes they do stack so every now and then I get a free book although the last lot went on a beast quest book for ds

Annwithnoe · 31/10/2017 07:26

Gardenworm: google Robert Sabuda for amazing pop up books. His work is beautiful

FLASH10 for 10% of Trouva , ends tonight

Disney store have 30% off beauty and beast toys

TheDrsDocMartens · 31/10/2017 07:28

The kindle ones stack but iirc last year the pantry ones didn’t.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 31/10/2017 07:34

So I was having a look for LOL pictures to send to my family who’re on their way to the US and I spied another new type of ball that’s out. The Glitter Series! So if anyone had family in the US you might want to get them searching

MoanerChopsis · 31/10/2017 08:50

Yes my DD has seen those and the LOL Pets, I was hoping they would be out in the UK before Xmas as an alternative to the Big Surprise which I haven't been able to get at all yet Sad

LavateLasManos · 31/10/2017 09:27

Moaner There's a list of every Argos that has the big LOL surprise in here

Catanddogmake6 · 31/10/2017 10:09

Giraffe - thanks. Hadn't occurred to me you could just buy the lids!

BillWagglestaff · 31/10/2017 10:25

www.jameschocolates.co.uk has 20% off with the code CHOCTOBER but the offer ends today and you’d have to check best before dates, I guess, if ordering for Christmas. They have some lovely chocolate shapes and boxes.

@Dolceandgabbana14, I’m sure I read somewhere that a National Poo Museum is opening on the Isle of Wight this autumn. Quite niche, though, so maybe not suitable for PIL? Grin

bunbunny · 31/10/2017 10:51

allhallows if your ds likes the Wizard of Oz it's worth getting him the Tom and Jerry Wizard of Oz movie - it's lovely! It's obviously a cartoon but it's told as if T and J got swept up and end up in Oz with Dorothy and Toto, but they're in the background so eg in one scene say Dorothy and Toto are in the front of a cart, T&J are in the back of the cart. It's done very well and not quite as scary as the real film. There's also a mivkey mouse clubhouse version - the Wizard of Dizz - that's quite fun but where the clubhouse gang play the characters I think (been a while since I saw it!).

Sorry I can't do a link as on phone but if you google it on Amazon it will come up - the older T&J films are usually about £3 but sometimes have box sets with several i for a fiver.
