@OutnumberedbyFurchesters can I have the disneystore codes please? I was meant to order ds a toy with the 20% off but it seems to have ended. Gutted!

margaritasbythesea · 30/10/2017 20:34

Does anyone have ideas for a man who really likes Star Wars? He aleays stops to admire ds's Hot Wheels Star Wars vehicles but I feel dilly buying a toy for a grown man.

i am also totally stumped for 3yo dn who should be easy...

ReindeerPoop · 30/10/2017 20:45

Has anybody ever had the Tinc advent calendar? Is it worth £28 Shock

Theromanempire · 30/10/2017 20:52

margarita haven't got time to link but M&S have a Star Wars trivia game which I have bought for my Star wars obsessed DH. I have also bought him a mug which has loads of light saber handles on and when you put hot water in, the light savers light up...it is pretty awesome Smile

Amazon have this Wizard if Oz pop up for £11.92 - it’s usually just under £20 and it is truly a thing of beauty might have to keep it for myself
apologies - have still to work out how to do better links BlushConfused

margaritasbythesea · 30/10/2017 21:00

Those sound great. i forgot to say though that he doesn't speak English. Thanks for the ideas.

Theromanempire · 30/10/2017 21:05

OK the trivia game might not be much use then Grin the mug would be though...I'll see if I can find it.

Theromanempire · 30/10/2017 21:06

here is the star wars mug

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 30/10/2017 21:09

@Reastie the contents of the kelloggs cereal advent calendar is written on the back. It lists all five cereals you get. It was coco pops, rice krispies, frosties, corn flakes and multi grain shapes i think. I didnt buy it as i'm greedy and would eat two of the small packets for breakfast.

margaritasbythesea · 30/10/2017 21:10

That is awesome!

MeMyElfandI · 30/10/2017 21:25

At last I have something to add to the thread after lurking and getting great ideas from you all.

KIKO cosmetics which is the new popular make up range that 13 year old DD and her friends are raving about. Some really good discounted products on the website (some up to 80% off) would make good stocking fillers or in my case I have ordered a shed load for £25 and will buy a make up bag to put them in as part of main present haul. Takes some digging around on the site to find the deals.

The Roman that link doesn’t work for me. Could you bear to tell me the name of the shop where you got the mug? DS would love it!

imsorryiasked · 30/10/2017 21:39

Lego Boost currently down to £117.99 on Amazon here saving about 20% on rrp of £149.99. Can't see it for less than £130 elsewhere.

Ilikesweetpeas · 30/10/2017 21:39

Has anyone cancelled the flavourly gin box after getting just one? I'm wondering about getting one but only if it's easy to cancel!!

scrappydappydoo · 30/10/2017 21:43

Margarita - Hawkins bazaar have loads of great Star wars stuff and there is loads of great Lego star wars sets. I've got dh the Lego millennium falcon which I know the dc won't get a look in!
Also could you get him tickets to the new movie (if he hasn't booked already)

Theromanempire · 30/10/2017 21:53

frisky I Googled star wars light saber mug and it came up with a few options - Super drug, Very, Argos (I think).

endoftheworldasweknowit · 30/10/2017 21:56

Got unbelievably excited in Sainsbury's when noticed a large LOL box tucked away at the back of the shelf - only to find someone had nicked the ball out of it already!

JDSTER · 30/10/2017 22:03

reindeer poop I’ve bought the Tinc advent calendars this year. I had smiggle last year which was very hit and miss. I read about Tinc on here. Obviously we haven’t opened it yet but if you email them they will send you a list of contents so you could possibly decide based on that?

OhHolyFuck · 30/10/2017 22:06

@Ilikesweetpeas I ordered one today and it's supposed to be here in 48 hours, soon as it arrives I'll be cancelling so I can let you know?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 30/10/2017 22:07

mycat I am!

He definitely loves it but never buys it for himself so I really wanted to treat him to a lovely set but man it's pricey!

TheGrandHighWitch · 30/10/2017 22:09

Hawkins Bazaar have 10% off at the moment with the code PUMPKIN.

nickdrakeslovechild · 30/10/2017 22:10

I might be in the minority on this, but I have had a delivery this week from tinc and smiggle, the smiggle bits are so much nicer, the tinc pencils and rulers look really cheap. Glad I gave them a go but we definately prefers smiggle.

Rockhopper81 · 30/10/2017 22:22

margaita - buy the Star Wars Hot Wheels cars if you think he'd like them! I'm an adult and would totally appreciate them having already chosen the Lego set I am having for Christmas this year and my dad was only saying the other day how he wished adults got toys for Christmas like children did!

Being an adult is overrated - toy cars, Lego sets and anything else 'for children' for the win!!

margaritasbythesea · 30/10/2017 22:27

Thanks for Star Wars suggestions. I am going to his house tomorrow so I will try and have a nosey and see if he actually does like toys!

BABY ALIVE Lily Super Snacks This horrible doll that muy dd wants is lowest ever amazon price. Gah! I bought it...

BlackandWhitepostcards · 30/10/2017 22:28

I've had excellent book recommendations on here for the last three years for my dd who will be seven on Christmas Day! Last year she had Christmas on Exeter Street and We're going on a Bear Hunt, year before it was all Julia Donaldson and also a Tiger who Came to Tea and year before that it was Who's in the Loo and the Mole who Thought it was None of his Business (she was going through a toilet humour phase Grin). She's loved every single book you lovely guys have recommended so I'm hoping you can recommend me some for this year as well please. What are your seven year olds reading and enjoying? (Can be either for her to read herself or for me to read to her). Her fave book is Tiger who Came to Tea so I'm thinking some Mog books. Any thoughts as to which would be best? Also the Bear by Raymond Briggs looks sweet.
Would be ever so grateful of more suggestions. Thank you!
